we love our Trooper – We purchased our Trooper in April 2017 ,not having had any experience with owning a caravan I was really nervous having read all the recent publicity. Well ,all I can say our experience has been exceptional to say the least. From a warranty call back by G&S Chassis to a water gauge malfunction, the staff handled our issues expeditiously and… Read more

professionally . The quality and workmanship in our van is excellent . We are just getting ready to head off to the Kimberly's and W.A in a few weeks, and we cannot wait.

All I can say is that to date our experience to date has been absolutely fantastic and would recommend LOTUS to any one wishing to purchase a caravan. Keep up the good work Lotus.

Good service from Lotus Factory – I have a 2014 Trooper which has had some issues but their warranty manager at the factory has been excellent. Window blinds are poor quality and will be replaced. Tows very well and has done a lot of dirt roads in outback where I prefer to travel. My van has REDARC top quality Aussie made BMS and can stay off the grid indefinitely unless I need… Read more

to use washing machine and I use gennie for that.

I have fixed some minor quality control issues and that seems very common in the industry.

The insulation could be better which I did tell Lotus

Fuses on my model had no diagram for trouble shooting but so far have not had any blown fuses.

I believe all off road vans are over priced and mine is no different however it does take me where I want to go.

Dealer & manufactuer attitudes – We have a two yr old freelander, yes the dealers need a swift kick where it hurts, ignorant, arogant, & not interested. The dealer in SA where we bought ours does not do any thing for us, had some issues that we wanted fixed as we came passed,. After many emails detailing the issues, requesting to have extra solar fitted while there we got no… Read more

results. Ne reply to our emails, tried calling them & the service center would not answer, request a call back never happened.

I drove passed them & went Melbourne to have to work done at the factory. While there we expressed our dissappointment in the dealer, they were going to talk to them, yeh right.

After the work was done I even tried to call the dealer again, asked for the manager & was given the head sales person that we dealt with.; laid it on the line with him & he claimed to know nothing about it all. He was going to have it sorted within a couple of days & call me back, that was 15mths back & no call yet.

We had the microwave replaced twice, they were fitting the screws through the bottom & into the power board, washing machine leaked, stereo repaired, had two solar controllers replaced, found out that they were using a cheaper chinese version of the prostar & only works to 50% of capacity. They claimed to know nothing of this but they were the one's that call it the chinese version ,not me. I had emailed Prostar in america they confirmed that the one's i had were not theirs & Aust is full of counterfiets. I got the genuine unit from their supplier & about to put it to the test.

Now the concertina blinds are all falling appart & a common problem, NCE have given me five replacements but what happens next time is a guess.

No problems with the body build just the appliances.

They need to lift their game, change their attitude & be accountable.

Biggest mistake of our lives – Bought the lotus trooper brand new had a lot of issues.the lotus has proven to be very unreliable and staff at lotus have been very unhelpful it has taken months and months to rectifie issues.buying a van was a dream come true but lotus caravans quickly turned it into a nightmare.

Lotus Trooper, just that and more – Our 2013 Lotus Trooper is fantastic. We live and travel Austrailia working on cattle stations. So our van has travelled a lot of dirt dice purchse from Caravan World on the Sunshine Coast. In 2014 we took the Trooper to the top of Cape York, no dramas and we had the added addition of luxury. Highly recommend Lotus
