Lucci Air Futura Eco 1320mm

My 2 Lucci Eco (slimline) fans with remote were running well ok till last year. They now run only on one speed in all the speed level and that too damn slow. Checked with the electrician and Beacon lighting who both said it could be a capacitor issue. Advised replacement. replacement but are in a perfectly good (almost new) condition otherwise. Can someone help? My local electrician is happy to have a look but asked me to get the capacitor.

Can someone tell me the capacitor rating for this fan and

PS: The fans are 6 years old so out of warranty.

This fan is very slow and VERY NOISY – Every time I turn this on it makes an audible hum on low, medium is very slow and makes a hum and high is like medium was 2 months ago. High speed buzzes so loudly I can’t live with it. I can’t believe I replaced a perfectly working Clipsal Airflow with this junk. DC motor stopped working in under 2 years wont buy another Lucci fan – Will need to buy a new fan, timber finish with black mount from Beacon, no longer works. Was fine when it worked till it didnt anymore. Fan was quiet when it worked. Show details

Horrible, never work – We have 7 of these fans in our house when it was built and in the 3 years that we have had them every 3 months they stop working. So far nearly all the fans have had all the motors and capacitors replaced at a expensive cost to us. Currently saving money so we can change them all out as they are horrible and they can all go back in a pile where they came from. Show details

Do not buy! – 4 fans purchased. 3 replaced and now all 4 are faulty. Paid extra for a good fan. Now these are out of warranty. Worsr purchase i have ever made. Avoid these fans.

this is far from desired – we have 6 fans (model: LD-140129L), all expect one now has stopped working, initially they all slowed down and then stopped working altogether. Not sure where to get the help. Show details

Cheap fans with obvious design fault is the glass dome for light. Dome is stuck and I am unable to change bulb – Fan power good Fan works ok Design of light fitting let’s the fan down. Don't recommend buying Lucci fans – Purchased 5 Lucci Futura Eco 52 ceiling fans/lights in Dec 2011. The 3 fans that are used the most have issues with the speed control. was a motor issue. Contacted Beacon Lighting about replacing the motors but they came back saying the motors were no longer available and the only option was to buy new fans. After spending $1,900 on these fans, I would have expected them to last much longer. There are obviously quality defects with these fans as others here have had the same issues. I won't be purchasing Lucci fans again.

different sales person that I should never have been sold those fans in the first place as they were not suitable to our situation. To Beacons credit they replaced the fans, but unfortunately, with the Lucci Futura Eco fans.

We had the Lucci fans installed in Jan 2015 and they still have very poor airflow and with in the first year one of them had to be replaced as it would no longer go faster than second speed. Now all of them, except for one, are having the same issue. So after spending nearly $1000 we are now having to use floor fans in my daughter’s bedrooms during in summer as these fans are not sufficient to keep them cool. We have to use floor fans in our living areas to get some airflow in the house. The whole exercise has been very disappointing and frustrating and we are now having to look at replacing these fans only after a couple of years of use.

We are very dissatisfied with these fans and are wishing we had left the old clunky noisy fans that were in the house when we bought it as at least they moved air.

Metricon Home Build – House build was very good,however,they use Lucci fans from Beacon Lighting. Fans look good but the switches have failed twice in six months. The switches cannot be turned and can be seen to arc which is very dangerous.Waiting to hear back from Metricon on this matter.Have recommended they don’t use these fans in future builds.  Show details

the replacement fan is starting to have the same problems. The problem is worse in the ones with the lights. Speed 3 is the slowest and to feel a decent breeze it needs to be on 1. Only one (without a light) seems to have lasted.

Disappointing – We have 3x Futura 52 fan and white light, model 210873, purchased 2012. Out of three units one had motor fail and had to be replaced after less than 3 years, we got no help from Beacon, only offered an $11 discount on a new unit and of course also had to pay for installation. The cheap fan we installed in our bedroom 25 years ago is still going strong! These fans look great, but obviously have manufacturing quality problems judging by the experiences shown in this forum.

December 6th 2018 Update: Disappointing performance but supplier was very helpful with replacement

This is an update of my review from Aug 2017. We had installed 3 of these fans, as we loved the look of them. But over 5 years all of them developed problems - light malfunctions and fan speed not working. One of them we replaced at our own expense as out of warranty. Before replacing the others with different brand I contacted our supplier and they agreed to provide new Futura Eco fans, if we covered installation. They stand by the brand and said we must have been extremely unlucky, so hoping that my next review will be better!

Crap – Do not waste your time or money. These fans a noisy / I bought tow of them, the first year had to get them both fixed. Light wouldn't work and the other second speed failed. The next year the electricals fail, the whole thing had to be replaced. C r a p! Then the other one the glass cover explodes in my hand trying to remove it for cleaning covering me in shards of glass and all over my daughter's room.  Show details

Perfect fan. Great airflow – Have had these installed for some time and can't fault them. The airflow is great and the fans are quiet. Seems most people have issues with the remotes. Ours are on a wall control. Couldn't get through hot summers without them. We do get ripple in two rooms of our house, but it is very quiet and doesn't bother us. Fan stopped working but great service from Beacon Lighting in replacing it – I bought 4 of these fans about 2.5 years ago so they were just out of warranty when one stopped working. fan all within 48 hours. Alan even delivered the fan personally to ensure it arrived before the scheduled electrician did. My other three fans are all still working perfectly so who knows why this one stopped work, but credit to Beacon Lighting their service in rectifying the situation was outstanding.

Premature failure – We purchased this fan from Beacon, and we didn't notice at first, but it got slower and slower until it became inneffective. The motor is gone, and so is our likelyhood of buying lucci brand fans again. It wasn't even in a high-usage area so the early failure shows up the poor quality of the product.  Show details

BUZZING – Don't bother buying these fans. They may look OK aesthetically, but there is an intermittent buzzing that can wake you up from a dead sleep in the middle of the night and can last anywhere between 2 seconds to a minute!! Look good just don't go around! – These fans look great and suit our house well. However, I bought 5 of these fans 4 years ago, 2 have completely stopped working and the other three are barely turning and get very hot. July 5th 2018 Update: Remote

Have had to get electrician to install wall switch, remotes are rubbish have purchase 4 in 4 years.I will never buy anything from Beacon lighting again, and will inform friends and family. every time I see their adds on the TV I shudder and squirm in my seat. very disappointing.

Worst fans ever. Waste of money – Purchased 6 fans in 2013 and had them installed. Every single one of those fans has significantly slowed down to the point where it is pointless to even have them on. Very disappointed with this product and the amount I paid for them. seem by the reviews I am not alone.

Wish I had read the reviews before I purchased it – Had the ceiling fan installed yesterday by a registerd electrician, working perfectly after installation however when I returned home at lunchtime turned it on and only one speed and light on permanently, went through the instructions dozens of times however problem remains. Very poor would think after many years that ceiling fans have been in existence should be right, just wonder if the rejects have been dumped on New Zealand

Another failure – Ours Beacon Lighting Lucci fan/light model is not that old, not used that often, and already has died. am prepared to do.Having read the long string of complaints here, I would be amazed if this does not deserve a product recall especially given the risk of fire/injury/death with electrical items such as these. Beacon, your move.

Great fans – I really like my fans! I have never had any trouble with them and this is the second house I have put them in. I was just wondering though, is it safe to leave the fans running day and night? I wasn't sure if there is a safe length of time Thanks :)  Show 2 replies

Terrible Remote Receivers – I have purchase 5 of these from Beacon over the last couple of years, out of the 5, I've replaced 2 with other brands just recently the 3rd stopped working. It looks like the remote control receiver has been the problem all along. I swapped one over with one that works and the faulty fan was fine. I need to try and source a replacement controller.

Rubbish – I bought three of these fan lights and now that the warranty has just expired by a few months, two out of the three fans stopped working. All were fitted by licensed electrician. May 18th 2018 Update: Garbage

Update on my first review. After three of my original fans failed just after the warranty expired, I was silly enough to buy the updated model. Again they have failed. This product is so bad that the authorities should force Beacon Lighting to refund all customers. This is a scam!

Extremely Poor Quality – I bought a total 4 of this model/brand of fan through Beacon Lighting. A second unit has just failed. They seem to last till they are just outside warranty. This one, the motor has gone open circuit. Hours of run time verses cost, about $1-2 per hour and that is being generous. On that basis alone, very expensive fans!!

Wish I had googled before I let the builder put these in my house! – I have 5 of these fans throughout my house, all of which make terrible humming noises and the lights seem to work only when they want to. Had all the ballasts replaced when i moved in and still the lights randomly work, I've had electricians come out to take a look and was told they were all rubbish. Local Beacon store was rude and should be ashamed of the lack of customer service delivered to a customer who spent $250 a fan.

Terrible Product. These Should Be Recalled – What a crap fan. Bought in March 2012. Installed by licensed electrician. Was always noisy. Lasted 2 summers altogether about 40 running hours. Now won't go at all. Bad follow up from Beacon lighting. Won't go back there in a hurry! What a terrible fan sale. Will go to Bunnings next time. This must be the crappiest product of the decade!

Faulty Fan remote control units – I purchase 10 Futura light fans from Beacon Lighting in January 2012. Since then I have had every remote unit changed atleast twice and some now 3 times. Coming into summer, I now have 6 of these units not working. I'm tied of wasting my time and energy having these units replaced every 6 months. Surely these units should be recalled and replaced with an item that works. When you purchase ceiling fans, you don't expect a 6 monthly maintainance deal included.
