AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS!!! One star because I can't give ZERO. The appraisal for battery installation went well, a good deal and a promise of installation within 4 weeks. That was September 2025. Paid my $1110 deposit. Then the excuses came, out of stock, waiting for more parts etc etc. Six months later, NOTHING!! I missed the whole summer… Read more

of energy savings. Lux dont answer the phone or return calls. Once they have you deposit they shut you out. I have requested my deposit be returned, I was contacted and asked for bank details and given 15 working days time frame. That date has now passed. I contacted them again and got the sincere apology waffle, we will escalate this with accounts blah blah blah! ...... STILL NOTHING! Today I start my claims and complaints with Consumer Protection and also reporting LUX to the Economic Regulation Authority. WHY DOES IT NEED TO COME TO THIS? So very disappointed with them. Do not use LUX SOLAR !!!

concerning. Only after I raised a complaint with my bank did I finally receive a call from Dritz at Lux Solar, who assured me that my refund would be processed within 15 working days. Honestly, I don’t understand why it should take that long to begin with. Now it’s been over three weeks, and I am still waiting for my refund. This has been a very disappointing experience, and I would urge others to be cautious before dealing with these companies. If you want, I can make it: more aggressive (warning others strongly) or more formal for ACCC / legal complaint style

Firstly, take that 1 star away as it wouldn't let me submit without one. Signed up for a Battery in December and to this date they have been uncontactable. They won't return phone calls when you leave a request for them to call you back. Their trading practices are unethical and appear to be a scam. I have handed the matter over to Fair Trading Qld and I urge all others who feel they have been scammed by this mob to do the same.

Lux solar are scammers, the deposit of $1000 was taken on the 5th of october 2025 and we are still waiting on futher action. This company is full of empty promises and lies, once the deposit was taken we were unable to contact the company via phone. Do not give these people your money.

 Follow-up  · The contract date expired 1 month after signing up It went from can't get an electrician for 2 months then it went to haven't been able to get installers for 2 months all in a matter of 2 months ? Check there reviews they took alot of deposits but nothing getting installed

Have purchased batterys but no response to install very disappointing and it seems like l have lost my deposit ,have not got any date just get the runaround. I hope they will honor their contract, keep you all informed in the future .

We unfortunately dealt with Lux Solar in Brisbane regarding the installation of our battery. Customer service is non existent as they never answer calls. Contracted the installation out to two guys who turned up in a beaten up, unroadworthy truck. they spent 9 hours installing the battery and inverter (every time I checked he was reading the… Read more

manual). Nothing works, batteries in Red mode which according to the manufacturer is catastrophic failure protection mode. Inverter says there is no battery. Got the message and invoice from Lux asking for feedback on the installation. I gave it and now they don't return emails, phone calls etc. Have not paid them and will not be paying them. BEWARE, LUX SOLAR is a scam. Do not part with any money under any circumstances.

happy as I have just received another electricity bill in. My next step is to contact consumer affairs and the department of fair trade. Hopefully they may be able to get things happening???

calls both to the Brisbane and Perth offices, I was unable to speak to anyone.

I left multiple messages asking for callbacks with an installation date etc. No response.

I contacted the sales rep ( [Name Removed]) and explained my situation. He said it is busy and to call the office.

Ultimately, I started leaving messages stating I wanted to cancel and wanted my ($1000) deposit back.

Still no response.

Poor and shonky nonsense is all I can say!

 Follow-up  · I continued to leave messages stating I would continue and escalate my complaint to the relevant authority. Still nothing until I was contacted this week (after another email) to be advised they were ready to schedule the install. promised. They have taken my money and have been completely unresponsive to calls, emails, and messages.

There has been no explanation, no update, and no effort to resolve the situation or even acknowledge my attempts to contact them. At this point, the lack of communication is unacceptable and very frustrating.

I would strongly caution others to think carefully before proceeding unless you are comfortable paying upfront and then struggling to get any response or follow-through.

 Follow-up  · So still no $1000 back from Lux. They are clearly still teading and scamming people. They even sent me a happy new year email and a receipt for my deposit after I wrote this. I have requested over and over for a refund. They do not reply to that request. Such a disgusting company. My complaints will now go further

They don’t respond to any form of communication. The solar system was installed in 2024, and the inverter circuit breaker burned out. The inverter manufacturer inspected the issue and confirmed it was caused by the installer, meaning the installer was responsible for the repair. Ellen is 5 star in Sales Mode, no change to that.. She's absolutely lovely when she's in "Sales mode", amazing in fact. Read on... a glowing review is below:

The Lux Solar Queensland Sales and Support Manager, Ellen is fantastic. She is very hard working, committed, thorough, professional, informative and passionate about solar. She helped with finance and pushed them for a great finance repayment term. Ellen is a great advocate of solar. The Lux Solar system I purchased is of excellent quality: top tier panels, "the best batteries" (RUiXu 16kW x 3 units), a robust inverter and still, I got the best price out of 8 companies I interacted with. I'm off grid, so quality and long-term reliability are essential. If there were more representatives like Ellen (Ellen Paige Griffiths) at Lux Solar, the world would be a better place.

So, time updates our opinions. Ellen's Support Mode was excellent on the surface, but the reality with Head Office is SEVERLY LACKING! More info at end of February...

regarding the issue. For nearly a month(9-DEC-24), he didn't bother to get back to me and his team never contacted me regarding the issue. Very frustrating service from LUX Solar. I am never going to recommend them to anyone.

Flee as far as you can – Even 1 star is far too many star for their service. The worst experience ever. Lux solar blamed the suppliers. After paying $17500 cash in advance for 40 panels it took them 3 months to connect us to operate the system, meanwhile promised to compensate us for the $1200 instead of $2000. don’t answer our calls or no one picks up the phone. Their representative Luke in Sydney tells us their is a lot of problem in the company and Lux Solar is holding back paying many other clients. My next step is to report them to fare trading and beyond. Do not use them ever.
