Useless – I was contacted by these guys and paid over $1000 a year for their services. They promised me a financial advisor....after over 6 months, i still haven heard from him or her. All of the 4 shares that I have bought from their cheap email recommendations are in the red. I have gone backwards. After I complained to them about their lack of service they advised me via sms message that they will be increasing my brokerage fee because I am a whinger, I only expect the service that i paid for. I have made reviews about this business but they have been deleted (just like this one will be deleted even though it is true). Stay away and stick with Hot Copper. Absolutely terrible service and platform – They clam: " The company’s purpose is to make International share trading easier for self-directed investors. " However the functionality is terrible. To convert between USD an AUD you must email them, you cannot call them. In fact you can't call them about any problem you are always just directed to send an email. Once they finally process the conversion between currencies which has taken anywhere from 1 to 3 days for me then you will find the currency you converted from now has a negative balance because they miscalculated the conversion, this has happened both times I've had them do it for me. So then you need to email them once again to get this fixed up, and it costs *you* money because they then need to convert currency again at the over inflated foreign exchange prices to make up for *their* mistake.

A few years ago this was all done in the platform and you didn't need to email anyone, but macroview has since been bought out by Australian Stock Report and everything went down hill.

Also the broker fees are ridicules. For buy/sells over a certain total amount they start changing a percentage rather than a standard fee. I was charged $105 for a single transaction.
