Average at best. It feels the same as very early vacuuming robots—it works, but not very well. There's nothing smart or sophisticated about it, aside from the very high price tag for what this robot is. The app is just for viewing, really, as its functions are limited to setting the cleaning time and choosing whether to clean the walls or not. You… Read more

can do all of that from robot panel as well. When the robot is underwater, it doesn’t connect, making it useless. I would only recommend it if you have a large pool (ideally square for the robot convenience is not the smartest robot) with lots of debris sinking to the bottom, so you need constant vacuuming. You still have to take it out for charging quite often, which isn't the most convenient thing to do—it really defeats the purpose for me, at least. Update: The robot is dead after a year. I'm currently waiting for Medimac's warranty will see what happens.

Update: The warranty process was very smooth, which was a huge relief after the frustration of dealing with a faulty product. I’ve been upgraded to a current model, and it is much better—many of the previous issues have been addressed and rectified. It’s great to see a company not only standing behind its product but also making an effort to improve it. In a nutshell, the replacement is smaller, lighter, and more powerful. The improved cleaning patterns are making a real difference. My only criticism is that the warranty does not reset; it remains tied to the original purchase date. I believe every product should last for at least a full warranty period, and if a replacement is required, the warranty should start over from the date of replacement.

If you live in a leafy area, mediocre at best – I purchased the i60 thinking it would be a good replacement for the corded robot cleaner I had previously, and that the 6 hours operating time would be plenty to clean my pool. Anyway, the first few times I had used it I was lucky to get 4.5 hours of use before it stopped (I was using the app to control the timer btw), and the final result was… Read more

mediocre at best, so I had to finish cleaning the pool by hand, thus defeating the object of having an automatic cleaner. So I approached the retail outlet who then made contact with Madimac, who then reached me to discuss the problem. They were very nice, and suggested s few tests which were unsuccessful, finally when they realised that I was using the app to time the operation, they suggested that I should only use the control panel to set the time, and that I should set it so that it run continuously until the battery fully discharged. This, they suggested, would give me a full 6 hours of running time. I tried this and I managed around 5 hours and 35 mins. I was fairly happy with this and could live with it. I've continued to use it for a week or so, with around 5½ hours running time, and it does an adequate job. In fact during that 5½ hours, my old corded one could do a better job in 2 hours, and if not up to scratch, I could just run another cycle, unlike Madimac, I would need to recharge for 6 hours and whilst charging, complete the job by hand. I've decided to cut my losses, and sell this device, and return to a corded cleaner again, at least I know that I have almost infinite power to complete the job. I only have myself to blame. I should have learnt from a recent Dyson purchase that for regular to heavy duty jobs, battery power doesn't cut it. My only advice to potential purchasers is, think about the size of pool you have, get the biggest battery available. If you live in a particularly leafy area (Perth Hills for me), don't bother, get corded so you can do several rounds of necessary. Otherwise, it's a decent enough product, but it does have its limitations.

Great Pool Robot – Excellent Experience. I purchased an i60 about 12 months ago. It cleans my pool very well and is even able to tackle the large seat we had installed in the pool. Show details

Not happy at all – 2 problems, 1. it didn't seem to want to stay flat on the pool bottom. It kept riding around on the "back caterpillar wheels" therefore it didn't pick up many leaves. A big disappointment. Thought it was going to be brilliant given the price tag. Also very heavy to carry about with no caddy and lifting in and out the pool not easy. OK so we have a big pool but after 4 days and still leaves in the pool, not good enough Show details

Madimack i80 – I bought the Madimack i80 in January 2024 with great results I have a 11.5 x 4.5 pool it does the job very well except the steps of course its programed to do 1/2 hour every day in the summer months, it picks up leaves, dirt, even mulch at times as of a couple weeks ago it stopped working, apparently water ingress. An email with video attached and… Read more

Disappointed! – I have a deep end teardrop pool and the robot struggles to climb up the slope and spends most of the time in the deep end area. It cleans the deep end perfectly but if I’d known this I wouldn’t have bought it. I have also contacted them several times but no support. There are always leaves and debris left at the shallow end after it finishes a 2 hour floor only cycle. Show details

Great robot cleaner – Great pool cleaner. After previous not so great experiences with cordless pool cleaner I spent a bit more money and am very happy so far. Cleans and scrubs the walls and ledges as promised. Has not missed a beat. Show details

Best In Market – Brilliant cleaner. Like most people I was sceptical. I live in an area with high winds and high debris levels but this machine does an incredible job even managed pine tree thistles with ease. It last 3 days on its battery and I’ve been using it for 6 months and could not be happier. A massive yes from me. Show details

Mediocre – I'm disappointed in the product. We have an older pool which is bowl shaped in the deep end going down to 2.7 metres (nine feet) and the Madimack i80 can't climb the walls. It gets about 2/3rds of the way up and then the tracks slip and the cleaner turns and heads back to the deep point or slides backwards. It does well in the flat, shallow end… Read more

and might do well in newer pools with a flat bottom. I noticed that the post by Jennifer had a picture of her pool which also appears to be bowl shaped. The few other pictures of reviewers' pools, who gave good reviews, appear to have flat bottoms. The convenience of not having a cord is great but my corded pool cleaner does a much better job than the Madimack, including climbing the slopes in the deep end. I don't recall anything on the manufacturers web site indicating that this product won't work well in some pools. Would I return the machine? Probably not because I like the cordless feature and given enough time it eventually cleans the bottom. Would I buy it knowing what I know now? No. By the way, I'm in Canada but the machine works the same here as in Aus. One more comment, I find that some of the debris washes out of the unit as it is removed from the water. You have to zip it out of the water and onto the pool deck quickly to prevent to reduce the debris that is redeposited into the pool.

Works perfectly in large pool with lots of leaves/debris – EDIT - I am now using my third machine within 12 months as the first two experienced water ingress issues in their electronics and became inoperable. When it works the unit performs well as outlined in original post, but I worry that it will fail again. Supplier has replaced without hesitation so that has been a positive experience. But I can… Read more

only assume there must be some systemic manufacturing or assembly issues. Or I'm just unlucky.

ORIGINAL POST - Purchased the i80 in early February 2024. Its been happily cleaning my pool ever since (nearly 5 months). I live on the coast and have quite a few tropical palms and flowering trees next to the pool and it happily vacuums up fallen debris, including sand, providing I keep on top of emptying the basket (which is very easily done). I have a large 11m X 6m pool and the i80 cleans it in a logical grid fashion leaving no area untouched, except for steps, which are a struggle. I run it an hour a day, and it easily lasts the week.

Sadly my unit has recently died - suspected water ingress into electronic areas - and the supplier is replacing it without fuss. Despite having a failed unit, prior to this is was performing well so 4 stars. If the replacement fails, then I will have to consider my review.

Was undecided – Im new on the market of robots and decided to give the madimack i30 a try. I am VERY happy with my purchase. Not only does this model look great it performs really well! Australian company makes it another easy purchase with a 3 year warranty! I haven't owned a cord robot but I can imagine what packing up cords and having ugly cords around pool… Read more

would look like, I also found more ease with having young children and cords or hoses not being in the pool. At first I was concerned that it wouldn't pick up fine sand and dirt as my pool is mainly subject to that debris but it cleans really really well. I suppose it's what suits your pool and the i30 suits my pool. Other rivals like dolphin liberty was nearly twice the price and half the running time. There is only one mistake and its that I didnt spend more money getting the i40 or i80 model but the i30 is great for my pool size.

I am trying to return this product. It's terrible – I have had a terrible experience with this product. It wanders aimlessly around the pool, not cleaning it at all. I've got it on wall and floor clean. It can't even go up the sides of the wall, just stalls. I took Madimack's 'trouble shooting info', downloaded the app and connected it to wifi. It made no difference. It doesn't move effectively… Read more

around the pool and it doesn't pick up debris, big or small. I have called the company to say I want to return it and get a refund. They appear to not understand what the word 'refund' means as I keep getting emails saying they are going to trouble shoot this with me. How clear can I be? This thing does not clean my pool and I want a refund. Consumer law. PS. The video I've attached is of it trying to go up the wall and failing. You can see from the pool how well it's cleaning it i.e. not at all.

Great Cordless Robotic – I was very keen on getting a cordless robot as I was sick of seeing the cord across the lawn, my previous zodiac robot died just after the warranty expired so not keen to go back to them. The i60 is amazing. Cleans up our 35000L pool in less time than my old corded robot and so easy to pull out with the hook. Cleans the pool in about 30mins so… Read more ·  1

will get lots of cleans out of each charge. Neat little unit, takes up much less space in the equipment shed than any of the others I looked at. Attached photo shows pool with unit in before it started cleaning. Cleaned all this up in about 30mins only emptied the basket after it finished.

Surprised at how well it performed – I have had 2 corded robots in the past and this is my first cordless vacuum robot. Our pool is a rectangle 5x3 pebble finished pool. I ran the settings on floor and wall and it performed flawlessly. I was very surprised at how well it climbed the walls. When it had finished it was easy to remove with the supplied hook. all the debris and was easy to remove and clean. The 6 hour battery life allows me to run the cleaner for 1 hour a week and last 6 weeks before needing to be charged again. So good not having a cord crossing the alfresco, through the garden and into the pool. Highly recommend.

Suitably impressed! – The best thing about this robotic cleaner is that its cordless! No more tangles. Super easy to use, just press the button and off it goes. It climbs walls easily and picks up the finest residue off the floor, big enough filter basket to collect leaves (we have palm trees) twigs and nuts are always falling in our pool. At the end of the cycle the pool was perfectly clean, cant complain! Show details

This is a great cleaner – I tried this out in my pool, I was very surprised it worked so well as it’s the first battery cleaner I have tried. Very easy to set and work out how to use. It’s compact I would say, so moves around the pool with ease. The basket has magnets so was easy to put in and out and clean. I don’t have a lot of debris in my pool but did well with dust being in a new estate I get a lot. Price point is also really good. Show details
