We bought our Grosvenor King in May 2017. We have no complaints until recently, our backs started to hurt and we noticed divots in the mid-section where it is supposed to provide back support. I contacted Snooze Penrith because it is still within its 10-year warranty period. They put me through to Futuresleep, the Manufacturer. Suffice it to say,… Read more · 1
the Customer care Team led by Jaspal and Rebekah were more than helpful. After providing the necessary photos, they scheduled for the mattress to be picked up, inspected and repaired. The mattress was picked up at 0700 this morning and returned at 1100. Fully repaired. Long story short, our under 9-year old mattress feels like a brand new. A comfort layer and the springs were replaced. I'm very impressed. I reckon I'll be able to get a few more years out of the old gal. Many thanks to Futuresleep and their professional team. Saved me thousands on a new quality mattress. I highly recommend Futuresleep Mattresses.
No rewards were given for this honest review. Just your regular garden-variety excellent customer care service. More valuable than any reward.
We purchased this in 2021 from Snooze in North Lakes north of Brisbane for about $2500. It was satisfactory the first two years until the coils began to sag. Now it is no longer acceptable for us with the degree of sagging. We are disappointed as we expected a 10 year life. We have purchased a new mattress from another company. Show details
Extremely Disappointing Experience – Avoid This Store! – The customer service at Snooze O’Connor (Perth), particularly from [Name Removed] (the owner), has been appalling. Responses were consistently delayed, unhelpful, and often abrupt or rude. We purchased a $4,000 firm Madison Grosvenor mattress based on the Snooze Profiler system, staff recommendations, and the in-store sample. However, the mattress… Read more
delivered feels nothing like the demo we tested.
Despite following the advice to allow 3–4 months to adjust and for the mattress to ‘break in,’ the experience has been nothing but frustrating. [Name Removed] and his staff suggested jumping on the mattress to soften it—a method the manufacturer explicitly warned could void the warranty. To make matters worse, [Name Removed] offered an old second-hand doona as an underlay to replicate the in-store sample, which was frankly laughable.
Another so-called resolution was to pay an additional $1,000 to have our new mattress rebuilt, an unacceptable suggestion for a brand-new purchase.
Even after 12 months, we are still waking up every day with sore backs, shoulders, and necks.
To date, no resolution has been provided. We are extremely unhappy with both the product and the service. Avoid this store at all costs!

No, no, no! – Bought this a few years ago. I sleep on it 5x a week. I have developed really sore back and shoulders over the years. Got it from snooze for $3000. Now, planning on just buying a new one, preferably Sealy. This is a waste of money... Show details

Hard tiring sleep – This mattress doesn’t even deserve 1 star. We bought this mattress in January 2023 and it was terrible from the start. It was nothing like the one I tested in store. When I spoke to the store they told me that it will take 60days to “break in”. My side of the bed was never “broken in”. It is still extremely hard and uncomfortable to sleep on. My… Read more
husband’s side has a huge dip in it. So if you can imagine down the middle of our bed we have a “cliff like” edge. This is the worst mattress I have ever had. My back pain is even worse now than in my old mattress. It feels like I’m sleeping on a hard surface not a comfy bed. Usually people get excited and can’t wait to climb into bed after a hard day and feel your body just melt into the mattress, not here! So disappointed!!! Now I have to buy a new mattress and it definitely will not be a Madison Grosvenor or Madison in general.
Perfect mattress – Myself and Fiance bought this mattress just over a year ago. never had any issues with it. Super comfy to sleep on, it also supports us heaps which is great. I also love that it has a cooling feature as we get very hot in summer. Show details
Great quality mattress, good quality sleep – We purchased this mattress heavily discounted from Snooze several years ago (roughly $1500) with our RACQ member discount. It's given us years of quality sleep, and continues to serve us well! Show details
Let down – Did the bed test and this was the more expensive choice. A cloud year 1, ok year 2, terrible dips year 3 - enough to cause chiropractic issues. Incredibly heavy too! Show details
Poor quality, Poor customer service – The stitching came undone after only two years leaving the pillow top exposed. It took two months for the customer service department to get back to me about the warranty claim and a further two months for them to repair. I use the word repair loosely because the stitching was still not right. Do not waste your money. Show details
Sagging and back pain – I bought a Queen bed Grosvenor mattress worth $2500. Medium. After less than 2 years, it is sagging on both sides. I feel that I am falling into a sink hole.My partner has terrible back pain. Show details
Terrible mattress! DO NOT BUY – Would never buy another one. Terrible service, Terrible mattress. Have had to replace only 3 years after purchasing. The mattress has sagged, they are refusing to come and inspect. Rude and unhelpful. Hard and uncomfortable. Have developed neck and bad issues from sleeping on this bed. Sleep quality has reduced. Madison Grosvenor - Mattress review – Excellent mattress! Exactly what I was after and I would 100% recommend to anyone. Great support and comfort. The Staff at Snooze were excellent to deal with. I think most of the negative reviews below are quite poor and not a realistic or correct review of this mattress. I think they are more of a reflection of the poor choice that the customer made based on what type of mattress they actually needed.... Show details
Firm mattress, good nights sleep – Very happy with our mattress choice, bought from Snooze. It is a very firm bed which is what we wanted, but I find it does have sufficient give in shoulders, hip and knee so they don't feel pressure points when I am sleeping. The mattress has good firm edges, so does not sink down when sitting on it to get out in the mornings. I appreciate the… Read more
side handles, which assist with manoeuvring mattress to rotate, mattress is heavy but not unmanageable.
I like the fact also it is a Brisbane made (Australian made) product.
The only negative for me is that it is deeper than my old mattress, so my fitted sheets are difficult to put on as there is not much slack.
I am still a little concerned with how the tencil filled top will go with time, whether it will 'pack down' or will it still soft. But time will tell on that.
Edited to add after 3 months: Still going okay, tencil top is not as soft and fluffy as it was. Mattress feels as tho it is 'sagging' / defined indent with hump in middle of bed. Still a comfy mattress. Definitely a HARD mattress.

Goodbye Sore Lower Back - Hello Perfect Night's Sleep – This mattress came highly recommended from friends and family and hasn't disappointed. It has pocket springs, so you can never feel the person next to you moving. Reasonably priced - could not recommend this product enough. Also staff at Snooze, Moore Park were exceptional. Best mattress ever – We love our mattress purchased in March at Snooze. It provides the perfect combination of support and comfort and I love that it is made in Australia. Highly recommended for comfort and value. Show details
Beautiful Mattress at a VERY reasonable price!! – I have only been able to afford "inexpensive" and non-brand-name mattresses most of my adult life, and a few years ago purchased this mattress from Snooze in Ballina. I was expecting to shell out $5000 for a sealy or something with a trustworthy name. After laying on the Grosvenor a few times, back and forth... This mattress is light years ahead… Read more
of the best sealy products!! Yes, this is for you if you like a mattress with enough support (firmness) that you aren't sinking into it, but the comfort layer on top is pure heaven. Purchased this mattress in sept. 2015 and it is still as comfortable as the day I bought it. Great for anyone wanting a firmer mattress due to back/neck/sciatica issues and I have to agree with other reviewers... You cannot feel your partner getting into or out of bed, zero roll-together,
The ONLY negative aspect was that the handles sewn into the sides of the mattress to assist in turning (highly recommended to turn the mattress at least once a month) came off after the second turn which was a little annoying, but seriously that's all I can fault it on.
I understand some people have had issues with retailers in this thread, but remember we are rating the products, not the retailers ☺️
A great mattress! – Purchased this mattress and we love it! Nice and firm with a bit of softness! Would recommend if you like a firm...not hard mattress. We got the king size and can't feel when my partner enters or leaves the bed. Show details
Great mattress – Had some reservations about purchasing this mattress after seeing some of the negative reviews, but we have been delighted with it !! Been sleeping better than I have for many years. After a few days, it was extremely comfortable while still being very supportive. My lower back pain also seems to have improved enormously. Show details
Madison Grosvenor mattress – Don't do it! It's hard as a rock causing sore back. Due to the liquid gel infusion smelt damp and was wet to touch. Disappointed with sales person pressured to purchase this mattress. Highly recommended DON'T! We exchanged for another brand of mattress which we are happy with. Show details
The worst bed choice – Bought the Madison Grosvenor. Waking up sore and in a lot of back pain. Bought if from snooze. All they could offer me in the way of help was to send the matress away and have it re-spec (add another layer) into the matress for comfort so it was meant to be like their "Times Square-medium range".. What a complete waste of money.. $400 for the re-spec and made no difference at all.. The worst bed I have ever purchased. Show details
"THE" Best mattress – After buying 4 different mattresses and not liking none of them, we decided to go for the Grosvenor. What can I say, but it was the best decision we made. It's been 3.5 years and we just love this mattress. The firmness is perfect and you really do get a solid sleep. Money well spent.
Worst mattress ever – My brother bought a Madison mattress only a year ago because I talked him into going to snooze and that's what they recommended from the time he first slept on it he has had a bad back every morning. Now he can't sleep on it anymore and bought a new mattress latex and he is in heaven no more bad backs or towing and turning all night like before.… Read more
He put the Madison in his spare room and last night I slept on it and guess what I tossed and turned all night and woke up with a really sore back. It's not fare he spent a lot of money on that mattress because he was told it was good he just dosnt have that money to throw away. And now he hasn't got a mattress for me to sleep on I guess it's a blow up one

Don't to it! – We bought a Madison Grosvenor and found it really uncomfortable, every morning it is sore backs and shoulders. We've had it for just over two months and now got rid of it after the store and manufacturer couldn't (or more likely wouldn't) help. The warranty is not worth the paper it is printed on. Don't buy it under any circumstances. If I could rate it zero I would have done so!
Madison Grosvenor mattress – Really hard mattress I bought the Grosvenor in Jan 2015 and found that it was like sleeping on a rock. When I was in the shop trying out all the mattress' after an hour, I found the Grosvenor was fine. After sleeping on it though, it left me with a really sore back and body in the morning. Snooze at Moore Park assured me it would take a couple of… Read more
months but it would be OK. It wasn't. I was lucky enough to go into Snooze at Bankstown to seek advice from the staff (spoke to the store manager). I tried the Grosvenor again in the store and it was OK. She told me you can't tell by lying on it for a little bit and you really need to spend an overnight on it. That's why their bedmatch program is really good. The program had originally chosen the Waldorf for me but I ignored it as it seemed too soft in the store. She arranged for me to have the topper changed from Grosvenor to Waldorf (at an extra cost) and haven't looked back since.
30th Oct 2020 After 5 years on the Waldorf it’s starting to sag :o( I went back to Snooze to try their sleep machine again and it tells me I need a Times Square. The sales assistant said she would get back to me the next day with a quote to replace the top like I did from the Grosvenor to the Waldorf. That was over 3 weeks ago. The mattress’ are great for a while but for something so expensive you would expect them to last a lot longer. It would be good if they included a discounted plush or top replacement after so many years.
Hmm.... a Madison mattress – We didn't really research properly with regards to the brands and comfort ranges for mattresses. We bought a coil spring mattress which was a stock standard queen sized. We bought it at a place in Box HIll in Victoria and the sales man looked like a bit dodgy... we did manage to bargain the price down and after trying out the sample mattress;… Read more
within minutes, we both felt like we wanted to fall asleep straight away.
Once we got that by delivery, we continued to have the same experiences for a few years and to my experience, it is still the best mattress we've ever owned. We still have it. But as times move on, our perceptions of needs and wants change as well.
We were running out of storage space and hence an idea for a storage bed was needed. And as we bought our Spring Air Plush King sized mattress from Bed Shed, we had many problems with it. My partner and I are fairly tall people, she is almost 6 foot tall and I am 6 foot 1. My partner experienced less problems than I did, as she is slim; she has only had neck and shoulder pains so far. As for myself, I'm rather bigger, borderline overweight and obese. I've had instead more significant issues, both upper back, lower back and shoulder pain.
I've found that many people who review mattresses, especially after reading a few, they don't often mention about themselves. Human beings come in all shapes and sizes and despite a mattress that tries to offer the best feel for people (universally or generally), they don't talk about themselves and end up putting blame on other aspects of their experiences.
In any case, we went to Snooze despite the many reviews that are stating the negative experiences. We walked into Snooze yesterday and within an hour or so, even doing the mattress test that they had to supposedly measure the pressure applied onto a mattress by the human body and so on. The reading on the computer print out showed that my partner was closer to the yellow range; whereas for myself at the red range for firm. The print out managed to find a common ground in the blue blend range. Subsequently, a list of mattress brands and ranges were printed.
We both tried several mattresses. I was more keen on a Tempur, because the fact that I use a Tempur Classic pillow and it really helps even after more than 5 years of ownership. The price jump on a Tempur was probably more extreme than any thing else in the store, but I guess it goes with the territory of wanting something to last, build quality and it really does what it does. Though the downside to a Tempur is that in summer the mattress heats up and its always recommended to have a fan or air-conditioning.
We narrowed the list down fairly quickly, down to the Madison Grosvenor. It was priced at $3400, though we learned that it was on a weekend special with a 40% discount. So that dropped the price down, and since my partner being so yin-yang about superstitious numbers; decided to see whether the price could get into the 1800 range. And so, she managed to do so. So hopefully within a week or two, we may hope to get it.
The sales person that we dealt with, seemed to know a lot of things about mattresses and based upon body language; he was very professional and was very accommodating especially that we had a child in tow. We did raise our concerns regarding a bad experience with Bed Shed along with the mattress.
We don't have a base for the existing mattress, just a storage bed with a metal frame and some wooden slats in between; so the experience is going to be impartial to every one else who may or may not have a base. We ourselves experiencing dipping issues, and literally the whole thing starting to fall apart as soon as we got it.
I hope with this newer mattress, we may or may not experience the same or similar conditions as most people would have. But in saying so, if it does turn out that we do experience similar conditions with our previous mattress; it may be something to address the base as well by reinforcing it some how.
Our older mattress will become our son's new bed, lucky for him a king sized one.
Since we have only tested the one at the store which was sitting on top of a base, I found that the bed was similar to that of a Tempur but was softer and supportive. It did come with a pillow top as most other reviewers complained about. Our previous mattress had the pillow top as well. We were told by the salesman that the individual pocket coil springs reduces the movement vibrations in the mattress and were also made of titanium, my partner found the experience to be better. Supportive (Firm yet also soft, not as hard as a Tempur), Price Too early to say
Love the Madison Grosvenor – Love this mattress. My hubby is 6'5" and weighs 150kg. He destroys mattresses. This is the only mattress that has not sagged, has not worn unevenly in the middle ending up with the dreaded and usually inevitable mountain of pillowtop where you do not sleep. We've got it on a great quality solid base and partner disturbance is virtually zero. This is our second MG, upgrading from queen to king. Awesome.
