Front glass on entrance smashed. Homeless person exiting the elevator with all belongings. Corridors full of scratches, dim lighting. Looked like a drug den or half way house for people. curtains were dirty and broken, room carpet was dirty, room smells, service wasn't good enough, no breakfast. We left after entering our room and went and stayed at the Hotel Grand Chancellor up the road. $60 more but got free breakfast for two.

This is most pathetic hotel, with most pathetic staff and thieves – Maddison plaza hotel & Apartments, Townsville, Phone number 07 4773 1888 The staff here are sooo rude as they made racist remarks, ignored me and locked themselves in room next to reception so they wouldn’t check me room until I left.
