Don't bother – Malibu caravans simply put are crap..don't waste your money on them, buy a recognised brand with good warranty. The workmanship looks like it was done by a child & they must have shares in a silastic company because i have never seen so much on a caravan roof..nightmare to deal with & no response or return call when you ring them..VCAT is the only way to deal with these people..

Terrible decision – Turned up with a list of terrible faults. Cracks in the interior, screws penetrating from interior to exterior, glue over flooring, pantry would not close and that was just the start. A day after delivery we realised it was leaking. It has taken 7 months for them to take the van back to factory to supposedly fix. Been gone 5 months now. The van… Read more

has suffered huge amounts of water damage but they just want to cover up the damage. Won’t allow an independent inspection as they know it will uncover mould and damage behind the walls. The roof also has huge lumps, silicone everywhere The floor also. They should not be in business

Positive process – We spent 7 weeks travelling the West Coast in our new family adventure wild track van and loved it. We only had some minor issues e.g our microwave moved out of place, few screws came out of the kitchen rrtable and we lost a leg. Very impressed with the customer service we experienced when taking our van back to the manufacturer to get it fixed… Read more

up. We were booked in within a week and in and out on the same day with everything fixed. Layla organised this for us and Amanda stepped us through the process when we arrived and departed.

Very disappointed with Malibu Caravans – The Caravan itself is pretty good, the warranty however is a different story. Purchased our California brand new from Best Coast Caravans on the Sunshine Coast in Qld Christmas eve 2022. Travelled the East Coast for the first six months with only a few minor issues, nothing major. Then in August 2023 we found our shower wall was bubbling and that… Read more

it had been leaking, we spoke to the dealer and he asked us to return it to him when we got back to QLD. Having done that the manufacturer requested that the caravan be sent back to the factory for major repairs. We were so thrilled when we were told the repairs had been completed and our caravan was coming back. On our inspection of our caravan on its return back to Best Coast Caravans we found that it still leaked and it was actually worst than before, not only that, but our caravan had also been slept in, the TV was used as was our Toilet (which had a fresh cassette put in before we dropped it off). We have a tracker in our van and it had been picked up and spent a few days away from the factory before it was returned to QLD.

We then wanted a third party inspection done and took it to Fair Dinkum Caravans at North Lakes and asked them to see what they could find. Well, after pulling out the new wall paneling it was found that nothing had been repaired, the rotting timber was still in place and untouched. On further inspection they found some more areas with rotting timber (Yes, photos and facetime calls were provided) and we told them to make good what they found and we paid them direct. On explaining this to Best Coast Caravans we were told by the owner that he would speak to Malibu and try and get our repair costs reimbursed, no luck there and that was the end of it. We contacted Office of Fair Trade in Qld and try as they may, Best Coast Caravans refuted any responsibility and Malibu Caravans didn’t even respond to any Communication from OFT Qld.

Where to next, who knows, disappointing really, considering how much hard earned people spend on their caravans, the Australian Government definitely needs to do something to stop the consumer being ripped off by some of the Caravan Manufacturers and Dealers in Australia.

Warranty issue completed – Picked up our new Malibu van in June 2023, and had a 6 week holiday nearly 9000 kilometres long. Unfortunately sustained a crack in the ensuite wall during this period. Contacted Malibu Warranty last week and booked in for works today. Attended the factory and immediately had the item addressed. Service and workmanship was excellent, they even asked if there was anything else that I was concerned about. Show details

Good Buy – In response to Joeys (NSW) Malipoo comments. I would assume you’re a disgruntled employee as how else would you “think” you know about the owner. Reality is their vans are just as good as the next one and there will always be a difference in opinion to all makes and models. I love mine. Had no trouble with mine - so no complaints here, thus… Read more

far. As far as the owner goes, I bought a van, I didn’t ask anyone to provide me , (nor, did they ask if I wanted their bosses information) in regards to their personal details. How would you know all that!! Your comments regarding your van after reading it wasn’t worth even taking seriously. Idea of this is to comment on the vans. I wish I had replied earlier as I hate wasting time reading “disgruntled employee comments)!

Don’t even consider buying a [Content Removed] – Do your homework and read the real reviews from honest customers as people that are giving them a 5 star are [Contents Removed] and probably being paid by the owner as he makes plenty of money, buys a new house every month, new sailing boats, cars etc and boasts about everything he has got. 90% of there vans are crap, the workmanship is the worst… Read more

in the business and they have absolutely NO pride in there products, just want the money and give you no service at all and doesn’t give any of there dealers any warranty help at all as I have spoken to many of them and now they are no longer dealers for that reason. The only dealers they have is owned by them or they give the vans to other dealers at NO charge and they have to deal with all the warranty issues themselves. ( see how it works ) I will go as far to say that the blame now should go to the caravan industry association as they still allow them to build these pieces of crap with there badge on them. We and hundreds probably thousands of others have spoken to the CIA and they don’t help one little bit and there industry states that any manufacturer with there badge on it has to comply with fixing any problems. How are they allowed to be present at caravan industry association shows! ( they get paid by [Content Removed]) DISGRACEFUL, RUDE, DISGUSTING AND DONT GIVE A [Content Removed]..

Very disappointed with what I thought was a good brand! – Poor communication with trying to sort out simple issues, picked up the van from Campelfield on a Saturday 11/11/2023 only to find that the electric brakes did not work and that they had fitted a top loading washing machine when the order was for the front loader that was displayed when we purchased it. I then made some 20 phone calls and 2 weeks… Read more

of chasing them only to offer that they send an auto electrician on a Sunday afternoon to have a look at them after being promised that they would pick up the van the Monday after I purchased it and return it once completed. I was told that the front loader washing machine would be changed within 2 weeks only to be told after 3 weeks that I would need to contact the warranty department by the person who sold it too me. I was very disgruntled at this point to which I let her know only to have her hang up and send me her bosses phone number who does not answer his phone.

If I could advise a prospective buyer DO NOT BUY A MALIBU VAN THEY ARE TERRIBLE TO DEAL WITH!! and there is no quality control, simple things like the side lights/reflectors are cracked from over tightening, the glue that the must apply to the chassis when they join the two components is wiped off and all over the bottom of the underside of the floor, the plumbing underside was not glued and come apart in my hands when trying to adapt a waste hose barb as they do not fit these.

I understand that when you order something and it is not quite right when the customer receives it you need to work it out, Malibu have little concept of this and when asked avoid their responsibility's I feel that the are poorly managed and that they are not to be trusted.

Anyhow enough from me, 78k spent and not a happy customer!!

Love this van. Can't fault it – Our Malibu is amazing. We haven't had any issues and City RV, Wagga Wagga have been excellent to work with. The family adventure is the perfect van for us. Rubbish – Hot water not working, missing items that were paid for, scratches and dents in all panels, over all poor workmanship, wish we never picked the van up. absolutely disgusting after care. issues. In feb they finally came to pick our van up for repairs, in a 2x4 Ute with no elec breaks, no towing mirrors and no tow ball, not legal or possible to collect van! They had to come back another day to pick it up. We were told we would hear a few days later what was happening and when it would be ready. It’s now March and still trying to get things sorted. Once again multiple phone calls and now onto the 5th person at Malibu trying to get answers. Do not buy absolutely appalling after care for customer service or warranty issues.

Malibu Caravan Appalling Paint Job – Purchased a Malibu Phoenix ( now called Malibu Raider due to Malibu being threatened with court action by another product with the same name) caravan new in November 2017 from dealer Bellarine Caravans in Geelong.
