No wheel issues – Sounds like a lot of people have had issues with the wheel durability. I bought this pram second hand from someone who used it for 17 months without issues, and I've had no problems with it so far either. Manoeuvrability is okay - the Mountain Buggy I previously had was much better - although you need to be careful going over big kerbs. Folding… Read more ·  1

and unfolding is pretty simple and it's not too heavy, easy to put in the boot. It feels more flimsy & less robust than the Mountain Buggy but the shade hood is much better - gives ample shade, especially when the seat is in the upright position. There are only three settings for baby - fully reclined, half-reclined and upright. I'd prefer more. By far the best thing about this pram is the fact you can have baby facing you or away by easily switching the seat.

best pram ever – I love this pram so much its everything i didn't have between the 5 different prams id tried with my first and never liked. aside from the beautiful and unique design, it is also a light frame in comparison to other prams, its durable and easy to maneuver, it is simple and easy to turn the seat back and fourth and the low angle of the hood… Read more

when in sitting position is great cover from the elements.

I did read about one downfall before buying it in other reviews that it does not collapse as compactly as other prams and this may be so but it is really not a big deal and fits perfectly in my jeep patriot boot

Decent pram for the price – The first pram we got broke after using it twice. I was at Te shops and could not collapse it. I had to walk home as I couldn't get the pram in the car and I wasn't just going to leave a $600 pram there until someone could pick it up for me. Took it back to toys r us where it was on clearance for $369, the manager didn't want to let me refund a… Read more

defective pram and get a new one for the clearance price but just swap it over. Thankfully she got called somewhere else and the staff member let me do it and unboxed it for me. They gave me an updated model and so far haven't had anymore problems with it, although it is quite annoying the limited number of positions the seat can sit in, there deffijately needs to be an Inbetween. It also doesn't lock, so if the baby sits up he can push the seat forward as it only locks so it can't go backwards but can still move forward. If I was to purchase another pram I wouldn't spent almost $600 on the sola(which jncluded buying the bassinet attachment, which is HUGE..I've heard they've brought out a new one since though). It's probsbly worth the $300 deffinately not original price

Wheels fall off – Used for 9 months with my first son, front wheel came off while out shopping and was not fixable. Got a replacement and put it away till had my second son. After 8 months the back wheel came off. Useless. Thank god my husband works from home and drove to pick me up both times as would have had to abandon it. Rear facing, functionality wheels fall off, extremely rude customer service

Love it!! – I had a Love n Care pram when I had my bub but changed to the Mamas and Papas Sola and its been a great pram. I can move it with one hand while holding bub in the other and the hood is fantastic in summer and it also comes with a rain cover which can be handy in winter. Love it so much. Everything about it. Wish the hood would be longer.

Was happy, until the wheel fell off! – We were very happy with our pram initially, its small light and easy to manoeuvre. We used it for about 6 months and then the quick release system on the main wheels started failing, allowing the wheels to fall off during use! We've never taken the wheels on & off but when the wheels turn on their axle they must wear the pin down that allows the… Read more

quick release system and wheel and its axle keep slipping out. Now we have a $550 pram thats no use after 6 months use. We have experienced Terrible customer service from Toys R Us and i'll never shop there again. This problem really is a deal breaker for the pram and id strongly recommend you buy a different product. Small, light The wheels keep falling off!

Wheel fell off! Do not buy – I used this pram for 10 months and loved it though it had minor issues; squeaking wheels, front wheel spinning, seat not locking into position correctly. Then the back left wheel fell off and wouldn't lock back in.. After reading multiple reviews of the same issues I returned the pram to toys r us and demanded a refund (though it was supposedly… Read more

out of warranty). In Australia consumers have rights not to be sold faulty unsafe products so I would have taken further if they denied my refund. Seems the issues with the pram are worldwide. I intend on following this up in Australia as it's a huge safety issue and the prams should be recalled. Colour, ease of use, weight Faulty wheels/frame

Love – We were tossing up between this and the bugaboo. Really happy that we chose this one. And it's the cheaper of the 2. It's incredibly easy to maneuver and comfortable push. I have a small car boot (VW Golf) and it fits perfectly. It's quite light and easy to fold/assemble. I love that it can be either front or rear facing. It looks good and my… Read more ·  1

Bub is happy in it.

We didn't get the bassinet option but I don't regret that as the seat can be laid flat and my newborn was fine in it. We did get the foot-warmers which has been great for winter!

No pram is ever perfect and the Sola does have a few glitches: the basket isn't deep so is not good for loose or large items. The sun hood is small-ish and has a clear window which is too big (I end up covering it with something when we are out in the sun!). The harness buckle fits together in an unusual way which can be tricky if you're not used to it (I'm fine with it now but Grandma doesn't like it). It only take 1 child at a time unless you can fit a skateboard so I'll need to reconsider our options when Bub #2 comes.

This pram is definitely worth considering if you like style and function. It's ideal if you only need to transport 1 child at a time. Manoevorability, lightweight, stylish, comfortable, size Shallow basket, small hood, tricky buckle

Turned out to be dangerous – We purchased this pram 3 months before the birth of our first child. The main conditions were that it was easy to use, light and compact enough to fit into our Golf wagon along with our Boxer dog. It also needed a reasonable sized luggage tray at the bottom. This fit all conditions and all seemed to be going well until a month before our son's 1st… Read more

birthday. The right wheel started to come off without warning. The wheels are designed to lock on with a spring mechanism that can be released to fit into small cars. This spring was no longer clicking into place, meaning the wheel was free to gradually fall off. The first time this happened was whilst crossing a road. Very dangerous.

We called Mamas & Papas Australian distributor who stated that the pram was out of warranty and gave us a number for their recommended repairer. Upon picking the pram up a few days later we discovered the "repair" was simply a rivet through the spring mechanism, rendering the wheel permanently attached. We sucked this up and continued on our way (busy life). However, 1 month later, the left wheel will no longer lock into place. We Googled this problem and discovered many people in the US and UK with similar complaints. M&P must know about this quality issue!

We are not willing to suck this up so will be demanding a refund from the retailer based on our consumer rights to a reasonable product. Wheels coming off within 12 months of USE is not reasonable.

This is very disappointing because it seems to be a well designed product with a very minor yet dangerous quality product. M&P need to address this issue in manufacturing and also ensure their recommended repairers are doing a satisfactory job even outside of warranty. Compact, reasonably light, easy to use, sturdy body Detachable wheel mechanism is of poor quality

Excellent pram with all the functions – I can't recommend this stroller highly enough. We've had our green Sola in use for 3 months now and we love it. It's lightweight, has a nice small turning circle and can be steered with one hand (or just your wrists if your hands are full of coffees). We have no problem fitting through narrow shop aisles. It also fits in to the boot of our… Read more ·  1

small Nissan Pulsar sedan.

We bought the bassinet and that was great. We added an extra mattress and used it for day sleeps and overnight sleeping - which meant we had great flexibility to take our daughter out, even out to restaurants for dinner. The bassinet option was useful in the early weeks so that we could rock our daughter to sleep or walk her around the house to settle her. At 12 weeks old, we just changed over to the stroller. She has no problem sleeping in the stroller because it's flat, and the recline option is perfect to let her sit up and watch the world without crumpling when she's awake. Cost effective (esp compared to the Bugaboo), seat faces forward or back, bassinet option was great in the early weeks, easy to fold and unfold, goes on all terrain, lightweight (<10kg), manouverable, has a rain cover and can get a foot muff to keep bub warm in winter There aren't really any cons. The basket is a little harder to access with the bassinet on, but it's not a drama.

Light but sturdy - very practical – We got the limited edition one from Bubs n Grubs. The one with a demin look. Had it a little while now - it's been great. My wife uses it like a daily driver and it's copped a hiding but has stood up very well. IT was good value and nice quality. She likes the big shopping basket in particular that the urbo didn't have. Sturdy, big basket, built to last

Best stroller I have ever had! – We bought this stroller after going through three other strollers. As soon as we unpacked it (at the store mind you) it was like absolute heaven. It moved so easily, you can comfortably (absolutely no effort at all) use one hand to push it around and looked so comfortable for our little one. It is also easy to push on different surfaces/terrain. … Read more

The seat is removable and you can have it facing inwards or outwards, it also reclines all the way back and sits up quite straight.

It has a foot plate in the front of the pram for toddlers which I will be trialling very soon with my 2 and a half year old.

The fabric on the pram is gorgeous and stylish, you really do feel quite savvy pushing it around. We now have a 6 month old who is in it, and she looks super comfortable. We bought a pram liner to put in it just to have a bit more cushioning in the actual chair part as it seemed just a tad rough for little bubbies.

The price was, from memory, approx $600 from Toys R Us, which is great for the type of pram it is, well worth the money. We have had this for over a year now and really have no issues with it at all, my other prams haven't aged as well. Really couldn't have asked for a better pram! Easy to manoeuvre, confortable for bubby and stylish for a pram a little difficult to get into the boot, but if you remove the bar that sits in the front of the chair part of the pram it would fit more easily.

Exceeded my expectations – The following reasons swayed us to buying the Sola: - Bassinet option (which we purchased) - Both bassinet and seat can be inserted to face me or the world...I love the fact that I can look down and see my darling bub when we go on walks. - The pram design and colour is vibrant - most of the other prams on the market had boring solid colours.… Read more ·  2

(We chose the Trufle design)

- The price was right - we got the bassinet and the pram for under $800 at ToysRUs during a storewide sale.

After using it for almost 10 months, these are the reasons why I would recommend it to my friends without hesitation:

- The pram steers like a dream, even with one hand and the basket full of shopping.

- The basket is large and easily accessible.

- It can maneuver over uneven grounds very easily and can handle grass pretty well, hubby calls it a 4wd pram.

- It is very easy to fold and unfold.

- The colours and design inside the hood, keeps my baby entertained and soothes her when she's cranky and sleepy - she just stares at it for a little while and goes to sleep.

This is a beautiful pram and I am so glad we chose it instead of the overpriced Bugaboo. sturdy, easy to steer, vibrant colours, bassinet option, easy to fold and unfold. Not the lightest of prams to lift into a car boot

Extremely Happy – We found buying the pram the hardest of the baby purchases. The Sola ticked most of the boxes we were after. You have the ability to have the baby facing you or facing away. It is fairly compact and lightweight (I'm no muscle women but I don't find it too hard to lift up and down). The price is great, certainly when compared to models offering… Read more

similar functionality. We use the prams for walks and it is holding up really well so far. It is a really streamline looking pram and the splash of colour is a nice change from the blacks and greys out there. We always get positive comments about our nice little pram. I struggle to think of too many negatives but I would say we had to buy an insert for the pram to use it for our newborn (we didn't buy the bassinet) and we have had to buy an insert now he is bigger as it is a pretty plain and hard seat. Price, colour, rearward and forward facing seat, easy to fold and unfold
