Exclusion school – Exclusionary practices. Child with complex disabilities expected to perform like a robot for them upon their second meeting at the school with an entirely different person. No surprises when he rebelled and refused. They wrote him off after 10 minutes. I came and collected him and I was told to try again for next year. The hoops we had to jump through to just get rejected was devastating. As an educator in the state system, I cannot reject any student on the basis of their behaviour based on their disability but it’s ok for this school to do. It’s an absolute joke!
