Matador Edge BBQ Range

Worst bbq ever – Worst bbq I have ever owned Uneven heat on plates makes it impossible to cook for a family on this bbq.Rear of plates get hot as you can see flame tamers glowing red but struggle to cook an egg at the front . Really dissatisfied to the point I have owned it for 3 months and it's up for sale I will buy something better and it won't be hard to find a better unit
Purchased in at Bunnings Warehouse Retail Stores for $499.
- Even Heat Distribution: No
Happy with the cooking side of it – It would be handy if the genuine matador char grill cleaners fitted the grill plate You have dropped the ball here
Purchased in at Bunnings Warehouse for $1,300.
Disappointed – I bought this last year as our previous bbq had finally died and the reviews I read of it seemed to indicate that it was a good bbq. It was in the box for about a month after purchase before I had the chance to assemble it. It has been used for about 7 or 8 months now. Things I like about it are: (1) Side burner with descending lid allows our large wok to be used on it. (2) The grill generates more heat than our old BBQ so steaks turn out better (3) The lights on the knobs allow you to see how they are set from a distance
Things I don't like: (1) The wheels have a less than sturdy attachment and are not suitable for anything less than a perfectly smooth floor. Our BBQ was on pavers which (due to the age of the house) are slightly uneven. This has caused one wheel to collapse completely and another to bend. The BBQ is now sitting on besser blocks and can't be moved (2) The temperature gauge is very inaccurate. (3) It does not do roasts well at all. Our three previous bbqs all did roasts better than this. When roasting according to the fixed temperature gauge they were always underdone. I now use an internal thermometer but am still not happy with how it roasts.
Would I buy it again? Unfortunately, no. I would try something else.

You cannot properly roast with it without voidng warrantee – This is set up with on hotplate, which must be on the right, and one open grill which must be on the left.I have read of people burning out flame tamers but did not know why. To roast properly in a gas barbecue, the hot plate needs to be in the centre with food above it; then, open grill needs to be each end so heat circulates for best cooking method. Matador state that if you do this, it will void warranty and damage barbecue. Correct me if you know this to be wrong but it has always been the way with other brands and cooking advisors.
Purchased in at bunnings woodville for $899.
