LACK OF CUSTOMER SERVICE – I had to have a part replaced on a brand new Matador Palladium BBQ, after finding a scratch mark when unpacked. Returned part to Bunnings who said I had to send all of my details to PACIFIC TRENDS and see if they would replace the part. Bunnings completely washed their hands of assisting me. Perfect BBQ under $1000 – I have had no issues with this BBQ, All the items were in the box and it went together with ease. It cooks evenly and the thick plates stop any burning/char marks like some of the cheaper BBQ's do with their thin cooking grill and plate. The smoker tray is a bit of a novelty but actually adds nice flavour to the food. I would recommend Matador Palladium BBQ Range. Show details
Missing and Broken Parts & Terrible Customer Service – Purchased a 4 burner palladium kitchen. Not cheap. Broken table top, 5 missing structural parts including the screw kit. Contacted Matador and got a friendly response promising help and requesting photos. Promptly replied, and never received a response again, even after several follow up emails. Show details
Good BBQ -but – I bought this 4 burner Matador from bunnings this week $799 . I found the instructions easy to follow and assemble. metal is very thin and flimsy , held together with screws - not nuts and bolts . After I assembled the the cabinet , the doors were 10mm out of alignment . The BBQ sits in a paved level area in a courtyard - the doors are only aligned in certain spots on the pavers . My conclusion is - an excellent BBQ , poor cabinet .
The BbQ did not last for even a year and i had a fire accident when cooking – I used the BbQ about 3 times a month and i had a fire accident in 10 months time. When I claimed warranty, they refused stating reasons that i am not in control ( bunnings and Pacific Gas company in Melbourne) Extremely bad BbQ and very bad service . Show details
Deceptive marketing – You would think having a hood with a temperature gauge sowing 300 degrees plus, this would be perfect for the sunday roast and general oven cooking!! WRONG - the instructions say when the hood is down only to use 2 burners on low which barely gets the temp up to 120 deg Celcius. This serves as a warming option only. DO NOT BUY if you want to roast. Show details
