Terrible – Just 10 days after one year of buying it, one of the wheels went out and broke and the company says it doesn't have gurantee any more, TERRIBLE never recommend, I have also a car seat which that one also a piece of crap, my baby is never comfort in it
Go Anywhere Pram – Bought the Maxi Cosi Elea pram (black colour) as a demo unit last year at half the price of a brand new unit and I have to say it has been rock solid since day one. The pram satisfied my main priority of having reversible seats, cushioned lining, good sun protection and tough tires although sacrificing some portability and being little heavy. I… Read more
like that the seat comes off and the main frame folds down to a compact size. Both the pieces fit in my VW Golf boot perfectly only leaving space for a couple of small shopping bags. The front wheels can be locked while the rear wheel brakes can be operated easily.
After more than 7 months of daily use, it's still going strong with only a few squeaky noises coming from here and there. I only bought the pram because at half price & near-new condition it was a no-brainer but I'm not sure if it is good value at full price
Practical Pram – The Maxi Cosi Elea is an easy to fold pram/stroller as two separate pieces. When folding it as one piece it is pretty bulky. I felt it was a little on the heavy side approx 13kgs, but it is manageable getting it in and out of the car. The seat is adjustable to face you or face outwards. It has a great canopy. The bassinet that you purchase… Read more
separately is easy to click in with adapters and I found it useful to have for my newborn. Now we use the pram seat and seems comfortable enough for baby to sleep in.
The seat is a little on the low side, but I am short so I don't have to reach and bend down too far, but may be a problem if you are taller parents. You also cannot see the baby when the canopy is fully open. It has good storage space underneath, but hard to access when the seat is in the forward facing position as seat is low.
The handle bar at the top is adjustable, but the handles get in the way when bringing it close to the table so pram has to be parallel to the table rather than facing the table (hope that makes sense).
The height of the seat belts were difficult to adjust (written instructions were quite difficult to follow), but to adjust to baby's size around shoulders and waist was easy to do. You do have to adjust them quite a bit when you lower the seat to a flatter sleeping position and then adjust them back to an upright position.
I have taken the pram to the park and travelled on grass and pebbles and sticks and it works well. Overall, it is a good item, it is well built and sturdy. It is not perfect, but functions as it should. This pram is definitely cheaper online which I found out a bit too late after I bought it in a store. And, as far as I know, it only comes in red.
Good pram- Value for money! – Nice and easy to fold. Will fit in the smaller boot. Fits safety 1st capsule in the frame without adaptors . Maxicosi capsules as well. The baby nest part is from birth so no need for carry cot. Front wheels lockable and the button on the frame. Plastic on the pushing bar handle and baby holding bar , so no missing ugly pieces of foam. Hooks… Read more
for nappy bag. Well padded comfortable seat, easy to clean.
Easy to manoeuvre. Shopping basket is a good size, no need to fit an elephant in the stroller, like some people try to. Attractive design. Worth considering. This is my forth child, i used bugaboo, quinny and bertini strollers in the past, i thought maxicosi elea is a perfect solution for my needs this time around and value=quality without overspending and sacrificing on look and features. Very popular stroller in europe. I have checked all new trends in au before making my decision and no regrets.
Easiest pram to clean – Easy to manoeuvre The best thing for me is how easy to take the lining and wash it my son is now two years old and you all know the accidents we have vomiting, diarrhoea and speld food and liquids. With Elea it is not a nightmare for me any more Clips easy to remove and toss in washing machine and in the same time strong enough and hold the… Read more
lining in its place and the basket too
The basket in other hand is small awkward to reach
My daughter is 4 years old sometimes sit in it and still easy to push
Easy to fit in seven seater car when open the third raw
The down side the food rest just came off after 3 months of use and I can't put it back any suggestions.!
Great stroller! – Compact fold. Can fold up in one piece or two pieces. Easy to manuever one handed. Lightweight. Comfortable and cushioned seat. Seat can face both directions. Reclines fully flat. Seat belt is complicated and has an awkward fit. It is also difficult to adjust. Small storage basket. No cup holder. Easy to maneuver. Comfortable. Seat belt has an awkward fit. Small storage basket. Fairly pricey.
Hidden surprises - still amazing me – We are having our 3rd baby and our 4 and 2.5 year old are no longer using the stroller so it was time for me to do away with the double and get a single. The most impressive thing about this pram is the way it folds so compactly, I am so impressed and if you are limited for car space in any way, then you must check this pram out. I have a… Read more
maxi cosi pebble car seat which goes on and off this pram with no effort at all, removing my capsule from the Phil and teds pram was a serious fight that I did not enjoy.
The seat material is amazing to feel and has a memory foam feel about it, so even though I am covering it up with a lamb skin liner you can still feel the nice soft mattress under it.
I have not had the new baby but still take it out for the 2.5 year olds to sit in and he loves it.
The hood has a hidden extendable zip, that I did not see until I unpacked it and it covers the baby entirely, there would never be a need to throw a dreaded blanket over that keep falling off.
The pram can face to you or away and this is a lovely feature because most children like to be able to see their parents.
The shopping basket is a bit on the small side, but makes up for the fact it is very easily accessible.
The wheels don't need to be filled with air and I have only taken this off road briefly and it had no problem at all.
The over all look is good, and although when I first gave it a good push I thought it was a little flimsy in the handle bar I realised it was only because the handle bar has to compactly fold, it is very durable and even holds the weight of the nappy bag with no problems.
I would recommend this to anyone that is having a baby. The maxi cosi products have been faultless for us. Compact fold, versatile, light! Small shopping basket.
