Agressive nice looking tyres for an A/T. Bought from new, the first 5000kms were fine but they eventually developed extremely loud road noise with an off beat humming sound from 40kmh to 90kmh depending on the road surface and temperature. Tires were rotated, aligned and balanced again after 10,000 and nothing changed. Mechanic ruled out any… Read more

issues with wheel bearings, differential etc and said live with it.

After 15000kms there is noticable chipping and gouges from the tyres even though it has been mostly highway driven and no off road. Will look elsewhere next time.

I love my new Maxxis RAZR AT811 tyres. I was surprised at how quiet they are on normal roads. I have only been off road once in the month since they were fitted and they seem very good. The beach I went on was very soft and they handled it fine. The road down to the beach was extremely rocky and uneven and they handled that very well too. The guy… Read more

that fitted my tyres was polite and efficient and made sure that I was happy with the job he had done. All in all I am very happy.

Maxxis RAZR 811 review – Had 285/65/18 on a next gen wildtrack ranger . Done about 46km on them with a lot of towing a 2.6ton van . They seem to wear well to start with but have worn quite quickly lately . They need replacing at 46 000km. Noise level was ok. They have chipped and cut up quite badly but never has a puncture despite about 10,000km towing on sharp gibber… Read more

tracks. Quite Good grip in wet and dry conditions . Bag really well when running low pressure in sand. They appear to be on the softer compound side . Been a good tyre but I would not buy them again. I am trying the BFG KO3 this time . Done about 5K on them .nice and quiet good grip in the wet and dry . Huge improvement on the KO2.

Stay clear! Terrible tyre – I honestly don’t have anything good to Say about these tyres…Coming from 100,000kms of experience with these tyres , the only Reason why I change them out was because it’s not a cheap exercise. We left tyre power and as soon as we left we noticed they were loud and when we hit 80kmh they started to produce vibrations , within 15mins of leaving I… Read more

called and asked what’s going on. I booked to come in and they re-balanced the tyres and off I went, same thing so I called them right back , they had the rep come along with rim rep. The rim rep agreed there was vibrations but the maxxs rep brushed it off, typer power then offered to re balance again and the rim rep(x-tyre fitter ) recommend we turn the tyre 180 to possibly achieve a better balance. After doing this it helped( a little) but I still had noise issues and un-even wearing or time.

TBH, if I was the rep of a huge company I would have offered another set of tyres.

The reason I am making this review is because I have now had Toyo tyres at3 fitted and all I can say is …WOW!… Better handing, hardly any noise , no vibrations AT ALL! , smoother drive. I actually couldn’t believe the difference.

Maxxis AT Tyres you will be surprised – The new Maxxis AT 811 will surprise all 4x4 drivers, I have found the maxxis AT811 is great on road with very little road noise, then the best off road tyre I have ever own, not sure about wear as I have only be on my vehicle for 3 months. Show details

Perform well but don’t wear well – More of a high priced all terrain but wear the fastest out of any I have owned. Grip is great in the dry and wet. Due to poor wear I wouldn’t buy again. Due to poor wear they have been balanced every 10k which isn’t ideal. Show details

No side wall strength – Puncture destroyed tyre less than 4 weeks old, less than 2000 km. Maxxis tyres have no side wall strength. Contacted Maxxis not interested in helping, not interested in helping with replacement cost. They are only interested in sales and not customer service would not recommend or purchase again. Show details

Sceptical At First But Now Very Satisfied – I was using 16' AT tyres and carrying heavy loads and decided to change to 17' wheels with a lower profile tyre with a higher load rating I was lucky enough to get talk to a tyre dealer that had time, I really wanted to stick with the big name brands but he reassured me that the MAXXIS product would suit me better, well he was right they handle… Read more

better than the other tyres, firmer ride & cornering, about the same road noise but they just feel better in my opinion
