Purchased the 35" version in December 2021 and ran them to the point of failure 52,000km later in August 2026. During that I drove across Australia, and on every offroad surface except snow/ice. First the negatives. These are an enthusiast grade product and come with a lot of compromises. For example, they are quite loud on the road and have a firm ride. The wet road performance wasn't the worst I've had but was bad. They also specify a low pressure (36psi iirc) at full load. One of them failed suddenly when driving on sand after I let it down (see photo). The sidewall failed in multiple places, and there were no rocks or sticks on that short section of track. I had another one get a sidewall puncture after driving on rocks offroad, which I had plugged. Onto the good: The offroad traction these tires offer is phenomenal. They go great in mud, gravel, hard sand and pretty well in soft sand. I can't recommend these tires to the average 4wder (I don't think they fit most new vechicles), but for a 4wd tourer/enthusiast they are a good product.
Follow-up · What caused the sidewall failure? - Can't be sure but I suspect it already damaged by sharp rocks and the extra stress and flexing from being aired down caused it to fail How often did you rotate them -Probably not enough. Maybe every 13,000km or when they were visibly unevenly worn. What tyre pressure did you use? - I ran them at the recomended road pressure of 35psi and typically 20psi offorad and as low as 10psi on soft sand.

80,000kms and counting! – Tough, can't puncture, iv got 2 nails in one tyre for the last 10,000kms and doesn't lose air. Done countless off-road trips outback to beach towing, almost at wear markers at 80,000kms. You can't kill these tyres, are they loud, I don't know probably if that's something that worries you just go for a highway terrain.

Excellent mud terrain tyres – I first saw these tyres about 8 months ago and just the look had me very interested, very aggressive and excellent looking tyres, so I did some research. And I seen the new technology Maxxis had integrated into these tyres, as well as the expected life of the tyres (45000) which is pretty good for a aggressive mud terrain so I decided to buy them. I’ve had them for about 8000 klms and I couldn’t be happier with them, I have a 2015 Holden Colorado and it's my daily driver (100klms round trip). They ride very smoothly, they have great wet weather traction, and the road noise is minimal (still a slight hum, but less noise then previous M/T) I had. As for off road traction, these tyres are phenomenal, my ute is 4x4, I haven’t been stuck once, or had to fight for traction when the rain's hit. The tyres still have plenty of tread left, 10/10 I would highly recommend them, don’t forget to keep em rotated every 5000-10000 klms.

Muddies Review Part - 1 "On Road" – PART 1 Had the MT-772 Razr for a while now and the on-road noise is very low in comparison to my other offroad tires. There is no tire drift on cornering and are really stable on the highway at high speed. Stopping on the wet tar is great. They feel sure-footed. On black slick greasy mud, they are brilliant. They dig in deep and clear mud with ease. On my last trip, I was the only 4x4 that held the lines. Lots of 4x4 with different Muddies and All terrain tires. Airing down 18PSI they bagged really nicely and felt very grippy.
PART 2 ***UPDATE 2 Fed 2021*** 20,000km on the MT-772's and I have done some super technical steep, rocky, muddy, silty, and beach driving with these tires. I've travelled all over Australia with them and I will be buying another set when these die. Very minimal chipping of the treat. I've done a lot of sharp shale rock driving and they have worn very well. The noise level is still low for Muddies and there is no uneven wear.
