Pool cleaner works ok but doesn't do the rounded corners on the wall or at the bottom of the walls. As the cleaner doesn't map I have noticed that it doesn't cover the whole pool and often have to run it 2 or 3 times. I wish I was able to afford one that mapped the pool but that was over what I could afford to pay.
Don’t bother… when it works, it’s great. Easy, cleaning and maintenance is simple and small for storage. However, whilst it’s still under warranty, I have already had it serviced/repaired multiple times. It’s always something - broken tracks, new… Read more
motor, new impeller door…. It’s just time consuming. I’m back to the old manual vacuum and am happier, other than my failed $2000 experiment.
Follow-up · Whilst in warranty, customer service was great. As soon as warranty expired, they were no where to be found. Repair wait times were very long - 1 of the instances was in excess of 1 month. I called repeatedly and, in the meantime, the pool just got worse. After 5 weeks, I called and they said they had called, but they hadn’t. The other 2 service… Read more

EXPLAIN or return my calls Phoned CBS instructed me to send a complaint letter and sent me a template which I used and sent to Maytronics via different email addresses that were given to me from Maytronics customer support SURPRISE addresses couldn't be found or unable to receive emails I Cc in Riverina pools in SA whom got the letter of complaint and photos of defective parts NOW cleaner is with Riverina Pools its NOW been over a month No cleaner YES would have had my cleaner back if I paid the $215.70 repair cost BUT REALLY 6 MONTHS OLD WHAT ABOUT MY consumer rights and guarantee!!!!!!!!! Had this Pool Cleaner for 18 months. Has worked fine up until it just would not climb the walls and would move 30cm and stop then move 30cm and stop, repeatedly. Sometimes it would just sit there doing nothing. I contacted Maytronics as it was under warranty. They just gave me the run around, waiting a week before replying to my emails, asking for… Read more
details on the pool chemistry and for more details on what the Cleaner was not doing. Basically just giving me the run around and using delay tactics rather than just saying fine, it's not working as it should so bring it in for repairs.
I took it to someone and they replaced the motor and now it's working fine again. The motor should last for more than 18 months especially when only used once every two weeks in pool season.
But the really annoying part is the complete lack of effort by the Maytronics Company to acknowledge or comply with a simple request for warranty repairs. A lot of money spent on one of these cleaners, so not happy with their lack of service.
I suggest people really consider other brands: A) because motors should last longer than 25 uses, and B) Maytronics will stuff you around if you need to get it repaired under warranty.
3 stars for the product, 1 star for service.
3 stars – In contrast to vacuum robots that armed with high tech sensors and cameras and AI algorithms, these underwater robots still in stone age wandering around blindly. These machines no matter what brand are produced by few companies that have monopoly in this market. So come to the key points: - Coverage: You run it as often as you can to increase… Read more
the coverage otherwise it covers 70% of the pool and picks up 50% the dirts and leaves. Daily run is not enough to keep outdoor pool clean.
- The industry design is like 80s Soviet Union style, no human experience considered, it works but you don't enjoy the interaction with the machine. For example, every single moving part of the filter, is directional like old USB2.0 port, you will make mistakes, retry and retry and wanna swear every time you trying to put something back together. Another example is the anti tangle swivel does not work well you still need manually sort out the cable after a few runs or the cable will tangle and be shortened and limit the coverage of the robot...
Now you just hope it won't die just 2 weeks after warranty. If it last 4 years I would give it 5 stars. I have a feeling that in 5 years there will be a company like Tesla that disrupts monopoly with revolutionary pool robot cleaners.
2 months in, very happy with S150 model – So far great & really happy with it. Only 2 months old but very very good at cleaning the pool including up the walls and edges. Filter system gets all the fine dirt out of the pool as well as any larger items such as leaves. Our pool size is only 6m by 3m so maybe bit of an overkill but better too much than too little! Maytronics Dolphin S150 – Great unit, climbing the walls and scrubbing along the top tiles better than previous Swash units I have had. New basket system much better than previous versions also. Show details · 1
Dolphin S150 upgrade from Zodiac robot – I've recently purchased the Maytronics Dolphin S150 as an upgrade to a failed Zodiac 4WD55. The Dolphin s150 has the swivel and caddy as part of a promotional pack, so was reasonable value at about $2K. So far the Dolphin is an upgrade in every way to the Zodiac robot, but especially: * It is smaller and lighter than the Zodiac * It gets into the… Read more · 1
corners that for some reason the Zodiac just did not go to (7mx4m pool) * Dolphin filters collect fine dust and debris by default. Our Zodiac required us to buy a seperate smaller micron filterbox, that still did not clean as well as the Dolphin * The filter box is a breeze to take out and insert, but the Zodiac always felt like the lid was going to break when I closed it.
So far, I'm super happy with the Dolphin, and escatic with its cleaning. I did not buy a 'smart'/connected version, as I don't really see the need for a pool robot, and I'm not really keen on having lithium batteries sitting in my pool.
I can't yet comment on longevity, but my Zodiac was repaired once during it's 5 year life, ($350 later) and I just couldn't do that a second time when it was 5 years old.
