Had Yorick booked to come out and give a quote for a full roof of solar and battery. He phoned the morning of and said that according to their images our roof gets too much shade. We are well away of about 25% (if that) of our roof being impacted by shade for the first few hours of the day in the middle of winter from surrounding trees. The… Read more

remainder of the year this lessens to full sun. I questioned what images they were looking at and also advised that some trees had been removed since those images. Yorick advised they would be hesitant to install solar due to the shade because it would void warranty- but then the reality of it came to light - “we are also booked out until September”…. Ie we don’t need your business. Well guys - it’s not always going to be a gravy train for you and this was poor form. I have already had 3 other reputable companies actually attend the site and do shade analysis who disagree. But ultimately these guys are obviously making enough money right now - maybe lead with that next time and don’t waste peoples time. Yorick was more than happy when I said not to bother coming then as they clearly don’t want our job. Zero stars.

A Shame, not interested in after sales service or small jobs. We had MC Electrical install our solar system in 2018, absolutely fantastic, the installation was neat and tidy, a 10/10 job, was so pleased I recommended them To a number of people, thats where it stops. Since then I have contacted them a number of times for advise etc, they didnt… Read more

seem that interested. Then I got a rude reply from a staff member, upon making a complaint, Was told he was sacked, seemed harsh. Anyway, heard about the catch solar relay, emailed 17th Sep, no reply, emailed again 14th October, , got a reply on 23rd October from the staff member who was supposedly sacked WTH...

Finally got a quote to install , aggreed, on 24th October then advised they would be in touch, 6 weeks later 4th December nothing, email sent last week, no reply, email sent yesterday, 9th December no reply.

Clearly appears that MC Electrical are keen to do big jobs where they make alot of money, eg solar installs. But have no interest in follow-up or small jobs.

If you choose them dont expect after sales service.

They've lost me as a ongoing customer and now will advise and turn people away from that business

Got a 15KW array, 10kw fronius gen24 plus and a 19kwh BYD battery in late November 2025. Mc did excellent work, had excellent communication and excellent work ethic. would 100% suggest them. they were early on the install day, removed the old system very quickly installed all the required tilt frames and got everything physical installed in a… Read more

single day, Day two was finalising electrical work for the full house backup circuit and then did a live test.

the system is crazy good producing on average 60kwh a day and on good condition days peaking so far at 85kwh even on cloudy days its above 50kwh. with the battery we've had near zero grid usage the whole of October. with EV charging we're looking at ~5 year return on investment so far.

(note we WFH so we use power all day maximizing our production with usage. we use on average 25kwh a day, always talk with the guys and work out your best requirements for your lifestyle and usage, it can vary wildly form person to person)

Solar, get it right – I have just had MC Electrical install a 10 kw system and new istore 270 l heat pump hot water system. They were great from the quote to the commissioning. Dane, their master electrician, made sure of the quality, the function and my happiness through the whole procedure, and it was of a high standard. After all was finalised. Their solar… Read more

Above and Beyond Service – I got a new system installed a couple of years ago with MC Electrical. I found them through Solar Quotes - they were one of the 3 or 4 quotes. They were the only company that insisted on visiting my home, which was kind of annoying, but actually ended up being very useful and important. Incredible service, follow up and trades. I had an issue with… Read more

the placement of the inverter, which was loud. They came back, no questions asked and moved it 10 metres into my garage at no cost. Amazing.

Mark could not be any more helpful – I reached out to Mark for some advise, with regards shading and what was the best course of action to take. Mark could not be any more forth coming with information and help, even though I am not buying the solar system from him. I would if we lived in the same state. 10 out 10 for me. Show details

Dodgy Quotes – Doggy Quotes Searching for a solar installer there is more to it than just a cheap quote and the same to be said for being charged for more than its worth. Very few companies if any will itemize the cost of the panels and the cost of the inverter along with the cost of the install, they will simply tell you that is the… Read more

system their main interest is the cash back.

All they want to do is push their products. I was shunted on a solar panel as I was trying to-get a price comparison. The products that I asked to be quoted on they could not be bothered not even the inverter that I was chasing.

The good old sales push: We only have a few hundred of the 395W panels left. We had a good look at the shingle panels, they are a great idea and design. We want to see how the connective glue that the shingles sit in fair with our extreme temperate long term, before we start offering them it was nothing about your other customers, I wanted a price with you doing the work HYUNDAI are a blue-chip company QCELLS would have done

I first Heard of MC electrical from a referral from Sun Power I have spoken directly with the owner on the pH. I liked what I heard and I thought he was passionate about all things solar which I believe to be the case .

Waiting to be quote from Mc electrical for our home I have revived numerous other quotes from another company’s some of them where on the mark and some where consistently the same being and indication the price was right as well as being properly presented.

I liked the idea of the Sun Power maxon3 I was prepared to wait to receive a quote wow was I wrong. My quote from MC electrical was simply rubbish it left me highly annoyed as I have wasted my time once again. The quote was full of excuses the site plan for the panels was inconstant No explanation of how it would be wired no costings and it blew out to 20k. for a system that is only is less that 11kw. For that price it doesn’t even include a hot water timer.

My female salesperson J had computer problems might have been the case and it was embarrassingly slow where her words. Most companies gave me a quite within a day and properly formatted. The quote is much higher than the standard online price where her words, this is just with the added smart meter, removal of existing system and extra work for a tiled roof and the panels going on different roof spaces throughout the home they get paid extra. It will be a two day install this is child’s play for most installers. Thanks J $21019.20 with no items listed bar the rebate to the company of $5029.20 WOW.

The salesperson J she never came to the property just sat on the pH. with a video link organized by the owner of the company. I was going to have a talk to the owner to see if it my quote could be rectified.

MC would like to think they are different in a lot of ways they are not, and I would tread on the side of caution when dealing with company and make sure it’s all in writing. I won’t be getting this company to install our new solar system this is my experience and I have tried to keep my comments objective. This doesn’t mean that others haven’t had a positive experience.

Best of the Best for Brisbane Install – I just had my install of my 6.6KW solar system today. Despite heavy rain the team from MC Electrical showed up on time and got started on installing the inverter. We somehow got lucky with miraculous blue skies and with 3 vans, a ute and 2 electricians on sites I felt like solar panel royalty. The install team worked diligently through the day… Read more

installing the solar panels in lightning time. I don't think I've ever met such a lovely enthusiastic set of sparkies who clearly enjoy what they do and know their trade. They took the time to explain how the system works, clarify my next steps and tidied up. If you want excellent service, a choice of high quality solar products with excellent warranties and the peace of mind of the best local after service then you can't go wrong with MC Electrical. Their sales team know their products, quoting is simple with no hard sell, their admin support are terrific and the install team are a delight. Highly recommend. INVERTER: fronius primo GEN 24.

Great service and quality installation – After getting in more than 20 different quotes and going back on forth on different panels and inverters we went with MC electrical based on the reviews received and the time they have been in business. Many cheaper quotes found, but we were not willing to go with a company that has not been in the industry for at least 5 years, which made the… Read more

list significantly shorter.

Very happy with the service and installation. Getting around 35-40kWh per day on a 7.4kW installation, well above the guarantees given initially.

Didn't want to onsite quote assessment – Called for quote. Sales rep. did not want to come down for a look based on his google street-view assessment. Other solar companies came onsite and gave quotes no problems. I find that odd. Show details

Excellent work across the whole company – Sales and admin staff were great, super helpful and knew their stuff. Got a reminder call the day before install. Install team did some little extra things like tidying previously installed cables and moving whirlybirds on the roof which they didn't have to do, but they took their work very seriously. Nothing was too much for their teams, will definitely recommend them to everyone.

Solar installation – MC Electrical installed 42 sunpower panels and a Fronius 12.5 Symo inverter with a smart meter and hot water relay on our home over two days in July. Whilst they may not be the cheapest installer for Brisbane, they certainly deserve their reputation for efficiency, service and post sales support. We would have no reservations in recommending them.

Best decision ever – Quality, Reliability, Prompt service. I had MC Electrical install a 7.848kW system comprising of Sunpower panels with a 6kW Fronius inverter in June 18 and I couldn't be happier, this system is producing above and beyond what was expected. The workmanship was quality and it was completed without fuss, the boys cleaned up and left the site the way they found it. Would highly recommend MC Electrical and their crew.

Honest & Reliable Solar Company with Great Service – Our Solar system from Mc Electrical was installed May 2017 and had its 1st birthday last Thursday. It has been brilliant so far and such a great investment, cutting our energy bills to a fraction. We have the Fronius 5 kW invertor with 6.6 kW of REC panels plus our hot water system on relay to the solar smart meter. Sunny days easily produce… Read more

constant 5 kW on our north facing roof with no trees blocking. Even on cloudy days the extra panels ensure optimum energy production including over the winter months. The service and advice we received from Ben in choosing a tailor made solution for our home was excellent and the pricing was extremely competitive. Recently our hot water system died and Ryan and David assisted us with advice and assistance getting a replacement up & running. Ryan even sent David over to check the wiring and reconnect the new system at no cost to us. Now that is fantastic old fashioned service you do not often see anymore as these guys really do care about their customers and understand the power of good reputation. Many businesses these days appear to have forgotten this but companies like Mc Electrical will be around for many long years because of it. Congratulations guys & gals at Mc Electrical for a job very well done and huge thanks from my family and especially to David, Ryan & Ben :-)

Couldn't Be Happier – From our first contact with MC Electrical, we have been impressed with them - their knowledge and abilities to help us have a clue about solar energy, patience, quality (and tidy) workmanship and after sales service. We'd happily recommend them to anyone contemplating leaping into the world of solar energy.

Mostly Good – We used M C Electrical from Eagle Farm Brisbane because they were close to where we live in Hamilton, Brisbane. Other companies would not install for us because we have a tiles roof. This was no problem in this instance. Generally I thought they were pretty good, with the panels going up in a day. The rest took a little longer as it seems to take… Read more

a while to get the unit 100% operational. The young sparkies that attended on various occasions were nice indeed, and credit to the company. However no-one presented themselves as the man in charge so we had no idea who to talk to about commissioning issues. I have had a few questions that I have directed to head office but sadly get a response, and I still have no idea who I should talk to. The unit with a TESLA battery (see following) is producing more electricity than we are using so we are exporting to grid. Whilst the unit was installed it took about 6 weeks for the power company to change the meter as required. The big disappointment is that we paid around $8,000 for the battery they put in and a month later TESLA released a TESLA 2 with 45% more capacity. I feel that MC should have said hold off for a month and you get a much better battery. I'm really unhappy with this aspect of course. In summary, the young electricians are terrific in every way but the backup office seems all over the place. This really needs attention with a dedicated customer service person appointed to each job. Their invoicing was all inefficient but this is the bloody office all over.

MC for MisConception – Recently went through 3 quote process looking for battery ready solar system. Turns out again it wasn't a hybrid, how frustrating, SAE was the only company with a real option and the price was great!
