Bill payment is a random walk – We were a group of 10 that lunched at this hotel on 6 January 2023. The service was good given the relatively low patronage that day. The food was good. The wines are very expensive. However, payment is not made by individuals when ordering. Rather, individuals go up to to the registration system and tell the service person what they ordered. My own order was for two items that cost $84.00. However, I was not shown the bill and asked to pay $145.00...some $62 overcharging. After I had left in disgust, not wanting to make a fuss, a colleague later questioned other bills and found I was overcharged and others were simply incorrect.
My advice is to stay well clear of this hotel when in a group.
Be very careful making a booking! – This hotel has a non-refundable policy when making a lunch booking, that you will not know about unless you click on the terms and conditions tab near the payment box. It is not clearly noted, & could be ambush marketing in my opinion. When contacted the hotel said it would refund but it took 23 days for that to happen. Thank you to the hotel manager.
