After being with ME for over five years, using their popular Frank credits card, three weeks ago received first SMS saying that I overpaid due amount and need to take it back or my credit limit will be suspended. credit card, yes?! Today I got another SMS warning me that my credit card limit is going to be suspended in July, month from now, and my credit card cancelled mid August. And, sure enough, to repay all outstanding rates before they close my account. Seriously?? First, I couldn't believe then I thought: must be a spam, fake, fraud whatever but not for real. Of course I called ME customer service and was waiting over 40 minutes before I hang up. Later afternoon, same day, I call again and waited well over 20 minutes before I got a nice lady to talk to. When I explained my concerns she assured me that it was true, my credit card is about to be permanently closed. When I asked what would be the reason as I know I did nothing wrong she bluntly replied: we are closing all Frank cards and I can't tell you details because we haven't been told. Still in shock, I asked why I haven't got an email or where on their website customers can read details she answered even more mysteriously: I'll lodge your complaint in writing to my boss... I don't think anyone needs my explanation why I'm now leaving ME bank and closing all of my accounts with them
I rang me bank today because they are cancelling my Frank credit card. ME Bank closing ME bank Credit Card. Not pleased with this as they have not offered any alternative. If this was a simple matter of simplifying their product suite they would offer customers some alternative. alternative product their team has assured me this will lead to additional enquires plus a duplicated account in your credit file for accounts as the history from this one will show for 2 years plus a new one will be there. So in the end there would be 2 accounts one closed one open but still 2 enquiries (for upto 5 years) and 2 files (for upto 2 years) NOT GOOD ENOUGH MEBank

Great bank – This credit card is great. No annual fee. When ever I have needed to call ME bank they always answered within a few minutes if not straight away and with an actual Aussie call center. Simple no frills bank. I love it. Show details · 1
Not a good start – As i am changing banks i wanted a mastercard. Me Bank Frank seemed to tick all the boxes, and application was super smooth. statement that will have the Bpay information so i can add funds to my account.
So 14th arrives and no statement. 15th i contact customer support.
There is NO WAY to add money to the account until a statement is issued, AND they wont issue a statement until there are purchases on the card.
How is this even possible?
Ive waited over a month for this.
Customer rep was talking to me like i was stupid and didnt understand that there is credit on the card. Yet was completely unable to comprehend that im not going to use a card i STILL dont have the ability to PAY, one where i was told explicitly that i would get that information on the 14th.
My customer complaint number is EC26589
I cant believe i might have to lodge a complaint with the AFCA about not being given the details to add money to a credit card. Crazy times i tell you.

that the advice from the bank now is to re-apply. I am politely declining the desire for more headaches. For no reason our postal statements also stopped arriving which means we missed a minimum payment date at which point the bank freezes the card which messes with any direct debits you might have, and triggers a nominal penalty fee. One star is too many for this bank and for me it's time to look elsewhere to avoid what has genuinely been an extremely ordinary experience.

possibly clear up whatever the perceived issue is if they wont even talk to you?
I have fully paid off 2 properties, have a substantial amount of cash in the bank, 4 credit cards, 1 owing $95 and 1 with nearly $2000 in debit (my money) and the other 2 are $0 and for travelling overseas. I have a govt job I've been in for nearly 20 years - and still the application was denied - goodness knows why.
I was planning to change all of my banking over to ME Bank, but not anymore. Any type of bank who does business like this is not an organisation I wish to do business with.
I suggest everyone should consider very carefully before getting involved with this bank.

Really old app – Their banking app sucks, this morning is second time i have logged into a page that says you have no accounts. I am also unimpressed by the app in general it does not show pending transactions in detail. It is also lacking basic features like notification of overseas travel. Show details

Archaic and untruthful – We applied for joint home loan and credit card. They didn't tell us that the card would be in applicant 1 name only. Make sure Applicant 1 earns more. It also takes a few days for transactions to show up. 1980-like crap. Show details

Great zero annual fee option – I have probably had this card for at least 10 years - maybe longer. One of the lowest interest rates around and always has been from my experience. messaging service. They always reply very promptly. A little expensive to use overseas but other cards that can provide better rates have an annual fee and higher interest rate. This point is certainly not a criticism as this card is one of the cheapest to use - just highlighting a point. Overall I can't fault this product or the bank. You get what you pay for and if you want a simply credit card without all the options which you're generally paying for this card is one of the best options. Happy to recommend.

to find the customer reference at the letterhead section of the statement, while accessing to the statement takes a couple minutes, the whole process is too much burdensome I ended up closing the account. After I closed off the account I still received statement which I couldn’t access at all - accessing the statement is really a major debacle Even though with a good rate and no fees the difficulty in operate and manage the account can be a major hurdle for keep using it

Needs improvement with their credit card transaction on the mobile app – At first I was very thrilled to have no annual fee and low rate credit card which is good for some people that does not want to pay for annual fee but the very disappointing part is after you made a purchase, the transaction on the mobile app doesn't appear and it would take 3-4 days before you can see it. holders as it is important for most people to keep on track and what transactions you've made as you may forget or if there is suspicious transactions already made by bad people these days. I wish I did not cancel my ANZ low rate credit card. At least with other banks, they show the credit card transactions you've made regardless if it's still pending. Also, when you made a BPAY payment it takes 3-4 days before you can see the payment was received by ME Bank on the mobile app. Me Bank is still very slow and if they wanna compete with big banks and invite good customers then they should really make an effort to start doing some improvement for the best. ME Bank please improve this because it is part of the customer service and it would help the review rating to go up.
A perfect card for me – Me Frank Credit card is really useful for all my needs. NO annual fee is a big advantage of this card. Interest rate is also best and overall its a perfect card for me for my day to day needs.
