Two dogs won't touch it – Bought M4M puppy food. Kept it for two weeks before returning for an exchange. Not one, but both puppies, would not eat it. Spat it out. I have since been informed that M4M 'used to be good.....not any more'. Very disappointing. Now buying Lifewise and it is excellent AND both dogs love it. Show details
Poison! – Do not give this poison to your dog! At first I was impressed by this brand, by the packaging & the recommendation at the pet shop, in hindsight I was deceived. At first things seemed fine, but after a week or so my pup got ongoing diarrhea, as I thought the food was premium (expensive too) I did not even consider it was the cause. I exhausted… Read more
all other options before considering it & when I did, I learnt that many others have had the same issue. I changed his food immediately to Savourlife & in less than a week his poo improved.
Poor little fella I was so worried. You only have the best intentions for your pets & brands like this take advantage of that.
Looks good on paper but incompatible to my dogs gut – 14 mth old Border Collie has been eating this for 4 weeks. Enjoyed it at first. But now avoids. Mucus poos. Runny poo. Qty of poo (extremely smelly) has increased. With urgency at times hardly making it out the door. If she has her previous food ( black hawk lamb & rice) she returns to normal. Starts again with eating this new food. I had such… Read more
High hopes. Clearly there is some ingredient that is irritating her bowel. She is also passing smelly gas which is a first. Still have 12kg from 20kg bag left over
Puppy and senior dog loved it until I ordered a new bag! – My breeder recommended this product for our labradoodle pup so we brought the 9kg puppy Turkey, sardine and salmon mix. We also had our older Cavoodle eating this as he seemed to loooove it. Our dogs have been using MFM since March and I believe I have ordered 2 9kg bags however I purchased a new bag 2 weeks ago and after the first meal from the… Read more
new bag my cavoodle got bad gas. His tummy was making all weird noises and his poo turned like mucus. I also found my labradoodle reacted with slightly runny poos but did adjust a little better however I have found over the last week that she has been pooping a lot more and the consistency and the smell has definitely changed. I gave my cavoodle a break from MFM for 5 days and he soon returned to normal and appeared to want to eat the MFM dry food again as he could certainly smell it in my labs dish. We gave him a small amount last night and unfortunately he was outside again this morning eating the grass and has the very loud noises in his guts once again so I guess I’ll now have to switch up his dry food and find something new. I’m so disappointed this has happened, I’m guessing something has changed in this new batch but after contacting MFM directly I have still not had a reply!
Best biscuit I have ever tried – My 4 month old Chow Chow is on the MFM Puppy Turkey Sardine and Salmon, in combination with Pet Fresh raw supermix meats. He had an unsettled tummy on just the raw despite transitioning carefully, but adding the MFM really did the trick. He loves the biscuits and transitioned onto them quickly and with only good results. Chows can be sensitive… Read more
to chicken and other allergies so I am thrilled to have a puppy option that is turkey instead. It is early days but he looks to be the picture of health, lots of energy and his coat looks great.
I have fed a lot of premium biscuits and air dried like Ziwi Peak in the past to my older dogs and while those have been great, the MFM is received with gusto, no doubt in part thanks to their excellent smell.
Stools are perfect and he is drinking a healthy amount of water. Very happy and excellent value I think for the premium ingredients.
Love it!!! – I have a 14mth old male doberman, had him on black hawk but stopped eating it after suffering from diarrhea then put him on ivory coat large breed puppy kibble he was fine on it until they changed their formula which caused him to have severe skin allergies, vet told us to changed brand, so we tried him on MFM large breed turkey and chicken and… Read more
haven't looked back. His skin allergies went away after a month, his coat is shiny, no diarrhea or vomiting. And he is now on their chicken formula no issues will be trying him on all their flavours to give him a variety. Hopefully this company won't sell to overseas like ivory coat did. Until then big 5 ⭐ rating and will not be changing brands.
Diarrhea and food intolerance – My rottweiler had this food for 6 months, and during this period he had never had proper stool. It was gradually deteriorating to the point that he would have constant diarrhoea and would not tolerate any food or treats except rice with chicken. Switching to a different brand fixed the problem. I have to admit that his coat was very good while… Read more
on this food.
I fed their cat food to my cat as well, and he also had soft stool whenever I tried to introduce Meals for Meows (tried 3 times with the same result).
