Smart watch purchased from Kogan Australia, this item was terrible, would not hold a charge, gave the same blood pressure every time, reset the steps at random times, the time was never accurate, in the end I just stopped using it as it was an inferior product. Show details

Follow-up  · This Kogan smart watch was and is terrible, it is now in the bin, it is so bad I would not even pass it on to anyone else to suffer with.

I bought my first MedAlert watch in November, 2025 and a week before Christmas I was putting it on after a short charge of 15 minutes and noticed the back of the watch cracked outwards in several directions near the charge port. I contacted MedAlert by email along with photos of the damage and several days later got a response and with some… Read more

further clarification about how I used it they agreed to a replacement watch. It arrived in January, 2026 only to have a similar cracking occur on the back of the watch after a 15-20 minute charge about five weeks later. This was a similar time frame to the first watch too! I have sent five emails describing what had occurred plus photos with the replacement watch and have only had one response which was after I had phoned them. I have not had any communication with their "management" personel only a phone operator. I absolutely DO NOT recommend this watch to anyone

Don't believe this latest rubbish below. I already have this subscription. A (false) alarm triggered recently, and it took me half an hour to get through to the Emergency Response Call Centre Service. They were unable to identify my location at that time and were sending an Ambulance to my home address about 25 Km away from where I was. They… Read more

Following my online purchase of a MedAlert watch, my order arrived at my address on time. I called on the support team of MedAlert for advice concerning settings on the watch. Their team member, Reina, attended to my enquiry in a most friendly and efficient manner. Having such after sales support that you can count on, nowadays, is rare. Thank you MedAlert. Show details

Bought one for my dad and it is so inaccurate on his location. One example- for several hours it was telling me he was next to a business intersection. I would ring and check and he was sitting at home. I cant rely on it. It always goes off when he bumps it too. Such a waste of money. And possibly worse than that, on 4 Dec they sent me an invoice,… Read more

due for payment on 3 Jan 2026 for renewal of subscription. The following day (5 dec) they CANCELLED his service due to "non payment". No notice of cancellation or anything. No contact number in that cancellation email. I am currently away so just have to hope he is ok until I can get it sorted. Even if it was overdue, what kind of service is that for vulnerable people? Just disgusting.

I feel scammed. They state that it does so many things like checking blood pressure and temperature and it does none of these things well. It gives a reading but it is nowhere near accurate. And if I were to use them I would be taking my father to the hospital all the time. It goes off all the time except when he falls. He will put his jacket on… Read more

or sit down too quickly and it will call me. He has fallen while wearing it and nothing. I tried to contact them but they said that it was never meant as proper measurements just as a guide. Absolute ripoff. Do not buy.

I have had a LiveLife pendant for 4 years and it is great. Thought I might upgrade to a watch so purchased a MedAlert. DON'T buy this is you are an active senior, it sends fall alerts if I walk briskly, take clothing off over my head or do any sort of exercise. The response from this business, when they finally answered their phone, was to take… Read more

the watch off if I was exercising!! Really?? That's when I would be most likely to have a fall. I contacted them re returning the watch within the time limit but all communications from them ceased at that point. I have now renewed my subscription with LiveLife Alarms, who now have a watch, maybe not so flashy as MedAlert, but works very well. And it can contact up to 5 people & advises very loudly if accidentally activated. AND the lovely staff are available to help & advise.

This medalert watch simply does not do what they claim it will do. Falls notification is too sensitive and was giving alerts when I didnt fall thus causing my family to come check on me. The BP, Oxygen and heart rate monitors are not accurate at all and the location data is a joke. It said I was 1 to 3 Kms away from where I was - not helpful in an… Read more

This company is the worst! The watch does not work as advertised. It couldn't not accurately find my location, which is the point of having the watch in the case of an emergency. Despite not having left my home, the watch tagged my location in 3 different places (none of them my home), 1 of them, a place I have never been before in my life. I… Read more

also got several false alarms. 1 whilst sitting perfectly still at my desk. The company takes FOREVER to respond to emails. They only offer a 30 day money back guarantee and I believe they take their time responding to issues on purpose to run the clock out, so they don't have to refund. Their customer service is basically non existent.

Agree with so many other reviews, a cheap ineffective device that doesn’t work. 1. Unable to charge after 6 months 2. No phone reception so of no use whatsoever unless you are outside and maybe lucky to get a signal. 3. Only suitable for ‘big’ towns. Then can’t confirm if it/or function will work. 4. Doesn’t detect falls 5. No notifications 6. No refunds Buy at your own peril Show details

Frustration and Time Wasting – I wanted this watch to monitor my wife's movements as she has Azheimers; geofencing was particularly important as it would alert me when she crossed an invisible GPS line. This function did not work. I repeatedly phoned and emailed them but only got one help response which did not resolve my problem. I asked them for an address to which I could… Read more

return the watch and get a reimbursement, but got no answer. Finally, I sent them a Letter of Demand telling them I would initiate legal action in the Small Claims Court and gave them 14 days to respond. Nothing! Yesterday, when time was up, I phoned them and told them what I intended to do. I was asked for the postal tracking number which I provide. They said the matter would be referred to their management team. I have now lodged a claim with the Small Claims Court for the sum of $641.55. My experience with Medalert is typified by frustration and a huge wastage of time, I would recommend you steer well clear of them.

NOT WHAT WE WERE EXPECTING – I purchased this for my elderly mother and first one was faulty so they replaced it. Second one is way too sensitive and keeps sending out fall alarms even when she’s just standing still and talking to me which makes my mum feel she shouldn’t be wearing it as she doesn’t want to bother us necessarily. The touch screen is hard to read without glasses and unresponsive especially for elderly people with arthritis. I don’t recommend this product. Show details

Far from worth the money – If you have poor internet in your area stay clear of this product. I have had 2 and both only worked like the mobile phone on and of ! And when you try to get a refund they tell you no refund after 30 days even if you only receive the 2nd replacement watch that still doesn't work as it claimed to do is within 15 days of receiving! At the end of the day it's a ripe off, $500 with only 30 day return in Australia 2024 !

Worth it – Medalert watch has been priceless for us. We are a button away when our dad needs help. The other day he was on a low chair and unable to get up. He pressed the SOS and I was there within minutes to help him. I like the app on my phone, so i can see his were abouts when needed. We have found the support service to be exception and the battery life to be decent. Not affiliated with the company just a happy customer. Show details

Overpriced scam – I found out the company was ripping off people after my grandma ordered this... I found the exact same watch on AliExpress for $66 AUD, and on a German site for £62. Poor quality item, small wristband, tiny screen, does only a few of the features listed and useless for seniors. Impossible to add contacts via the device. The Google reviews I… Read more

discovered most of the reviewers are linked to the same area where the company is based and use the same gym franchise. I contacted the company via their chat on their own webpage with the information i discovered and demanded a refund. I was blocked by Matthew who I was speaking to and also blocked by their Facebook page. No refund has been given yet. Very disappointed as they are taking advantage of seniors by promoting a mediocre item for $500.

If you are prone to falls, I would recommend this watch – I don’t normally leave reviews, but even I left a good review for MedAlert by email, they asked me to leave it as a public review, and I will happily do so as I’m quite happy with the product and service so far, I’ve been working with Paul from their support team and he is always very happy to assist. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a smart watch and is prone to falls like me Show details

Very happy with this purchase, good battery life too – I have been using the medalert watch for just over a year now and it has proven to be a very good investment for my money, i use it like a phone, being able to call when needed, and the fall alert helped me when i had a fall in October 2023. I have recommended this to all of my friends at the club. Show details

Doesn't do what they promote – This is my second watch watch. The first watch was giving me all sorts of problems not giving me the right readings for the sleep patterns not giving correct location. change the time for daylight saving. It's showing my sleep, steps and blood oxygen levels 1 hour ahead of time! But As it's daylight saving that time is actually 2 hours ahead of time . I am not at all happy with this watch. It doesn't do what they say it will do. Nothing seems to work properly so if I have a fall my location is not correct. Often shows my location as a couple of kilometres away. When I finally do get a location the closest it shows is the house on the opposite corner from where I live never gives my actual location I would not recommend buying this watch. Instructions I have been given to fix some of the problems conflict with what the marketing of the watch details. For instance, I was told it will ring triple zero if I have a fall and my contacts don't respond and now I've been told that that might not happen and that I need to put triple zero in as one of my contacts. If I am unconscious how will that work? I expected from reading the marketing material that if I have a fall and I am unconscious and unable to press the SOS button that triple zero will be notified but how can they locate me if I'm unconscious and the location is not working correctly?.

Expensive for little result – My daughter bought this watch mainly in case of a fall. We discovered if you fall and are unconscious unless you pay for an extra costly service ($32/mth) no help is available. Location is another issue. It is unable to locate my home. Pedometer is also most inaccurate. I definitely would not recommend this watch . Show details

Suggestion – The watch is too wide for my small wrist and because I’m active it can catch and bruise my wrist……suggest it maybe can be turned around so its width goes up the wrist instead. Having said that it’s a much better idea than one worn round the neck. Show details

still waiting on a refund – I purchased a watch for my dad, when it arrived we or the support couldn't get it to work, they sent another one, it was to hard to set up . Size to Large – I purchased a Medalert watch thinking I could wear this all the time for my health safety as I am a senior. Wrong this watch is way to big and bulky for my small arms. I have notified the company and was told it is suppose to be the smallest watch available. I think they are wrong as I have seen a flatter watch on a person I was visiting.
