Warning to Perth households ceiling vacuuming and insulation – We needed our roof cavity vacuumed. [Name Removed] answered my call and provided wonderful customer service. clean roof cavities and their Google reviews were great. I had some trepidation paying a company $7000 without knowing them but they told me when they would start the job which was time critical and kept communicating with me in the lead up.
On the day, two men vacuumed the roof cavity while the tiles were all off the roof allowing them the best possible access.
I received a text message from [Name Removed] at 2.16pm saying that it was all done. It took them 6 hours.
We noticed an immediate difference because of the insulation.
However, this is where it went downhill.
The following Saturday electrical work revealed rodent matter and debris that remained throughout our ceiling cavity.
We looked under the new insulation and were shocked by the dirt that remained in the corners and in other areas of the roof.
We found old insulation that had been used to cover the area even though it should have been removed.
Our tables had insulation that was halved in thickness. Yet we paid for full thickness over 260sq mtrs.
I questioned whether the batts would be laid over the lights. [Name Removed] reassured me that he had been in business for 20 something years and has never had a problem with laying insulation over lights. He was defensive and accused me of questioning his professionalism.
We contacted [Name Removed] sending images of the debris and asked him to come back and clean it properly. [Name Removed] didn’t respond and has not answered any of my calls since.
[Name Removed] has answered my calls and has been argumentative and difficult to talk to. He prefers not to talk with me. Instead, he argues with my partner.
All words from [Name Removed] and we are still waiting for them to come back and finish this job.
All the while I have explained to them that it is time critical as the roof is changed over from tile to tin. Parts of the roof are now inaccessible as the roofers push on with their task.
We need to warn others in Perth who are considering Megatec for their vacuum roof cavity vacuum and insulation.

Excellent Service – I had Possums in the roof and my ceiling insulation was destroyed and Megatec came to the rescue. It was expensive but worth it. To fix this problem is an awful task but it was quickly and efficiently. Highly recommended.
Great job – Had the boys do a GP and termite barrier at my new place (4 months since i moved in). The place was like an Adams family home and within a week the creepy crawlers are gone and my Mrs stopped giving me ^&^&#^. well done boys
The Full 5-star Story – What the previous "1-STAR reviewer" didn't say is that Megatec immediately went back and re-treated the whole property without question. technician assured her that the re-treatment was thoroughly done. The fact that he couldn't find 'a living pest' was strange but alas Megatec wanted a happy customer. When another call was received - 2 weeks later insisting on 'more live spider sightings' and NOW 'a full refund' Megatec's owners wanted to return in order to do an on-site inspection, not just send the technician back again, but was not allowed back to site.
Luckily the technician took photos during the second treatment and a full record of all areas, chemicals used etc was kept. Thus when consumer protection enquired, Megatec could provide all info & their feedback so, the case was thrown out...
All businesses rely on 5-STAR reviews and Megatec really go out of their way to make EVERY customer happy! HOPEFULLY the norwell '1-star' review can be viewed for what it is...
DISGRACEFUL LYING PEOPLE WHOSE PRODUCT DOES NOT WORK – We paid $240 for them to come and do a Spider Treatment. thought that would happen as we ran out of Powder". Less than 2 weeks later we still had a house full of spiders and garden wasn't much better. They refused to answer my calls, or return my calls or emails until I said I was going to Consumer Protection, then [name removed] called me. Kept saying "now Listen Here Lady" and yelling and talking over me. Was so rude and unprofessional and was very intimidating. Their product does not work and the owner is extremely condescending and rude. You are wasting your money if you hire them.
