Great product – Happy with the results of Plastix after polishing the headlights on my Lexus. Only downside is the cloudy film comes back after a short time. Good for a quick shine though. Also you only need a small amount ! Show details
Outstanding plastic polish for clear motorcycle windscreens – I recently purchased a motorcycle that has a large windscreen (ABS or acrylic...whatever they are made from these days!) and large parts of it almost looked as if it had been lightly sandblasted. It was quite foggy to look through, so obviously it needed attention. I have some other plastic polishing products which I have used successfully for… Read more
general polishing of motorcycle plastic ware, so I tried these first. None of them touched it. While they did polish up the areas that were not affected, they had zero effect on the "blasted" areas, despite firm polishing. After having a look at a few different products, I thought I would give the Meguiar's PlastX a try...it promised a lot, and it happened to be on special at Repco as a bonus! I was a bit concerned they described it as a "gel", but in fact it is a thick opaque pale blue liquid. So does it work? My word it does! While it did take a moderate amount of elbow grease, it did not take long to see that it was removing the fine pitting from the plastic. The most severely affected areas took a couple of applications, but at the end of the day, it removed ALL of the pitting and left me with a beautifully clear windscreen. It did such a good job it is now my new favourite plastic polish...to restore my windscreen so well means I do not have to buy a new one. Happy? Yes, very!
VERDICT: It might take a bit of effort for badly dulled plastic, but it is the best plastic polish I have ever used. Definitely recommended!
