Please do not use these people. I had my tub resurfaced and within 3 months the paint started bubbling and peeling around the drain area. I rang them, got fobbed off saying they were going on holiday. I emailed them, they said they never got it. Finally arranged a day for the technician to come over...he never showed up. Rang them and was given yet another excuse, " oh, we couldn't make it and forgot to ring you". DONT USE Menda bath.
The Mendath process does not work – Our technician told us that some stains could come back on the bath after a "year or two." We accepted that in the hope that it would be a couple of years. That was 3 months ago. The work seemed to be done professionally and the result was stunning. A week later pink spots appeared and we have images of them on the bath on our mobiles, date… Read more
stamped. An email outlining our concerns and asking for a refund were not even answered !!
This is a pretentious operation that looks big but in fact appears to have representation only in West Australia. The process does not work and we want our money back. Failing a reply, we will take further action in the local small claims court. Oliver Ocean Reef Perth.

Stunning transformation, speedy professional service – After being let down by the bath doctor who said my bath was too far gone to resurface, Steve from Mend a Bath was able to do an amazing job. Highly recommend. Honestly looks like a brand new bath. Steve was on time, professional and friendly.
Professional. Clean and great job – Reasonable price to have an old bath resurfaced. Provided professional advice on the pros and cons of the work. Did a good job to communicate throughout. Very responsive. Provided aftercare advice as well.
Extremely poor after sale service – We had our bath re-enamelled (painted) in 2018. Bath ok for 1st couple of years, although discolouration started soon after 1st use. Then some bubbling paint appeared at head end of bath. Called multiple times to query this and eventually had Steve come out to repair. This was not successful as bubbling paint just moved downwards. Of more concern… Read more
was the poor attitude on and after repair, being accused of using a suction bath pillow (completely untrue) and being told it was not a warrantable repair. Have contacted mend a bath for warranty clarification but am yet to get a response (4 months ago). Very poor customer service, happy to take your money but not follow up on any problems that arise. "DO NOT USE".
DO NOT USE – I would much rather give zero stars. I am absolutely appalled by this company, I paid 1800 to have my bath re-lined, was told a 5year warranty, but would last 20! What a joke. We didn't use the bath for a week, they gave us 48 hours, I did prolong it. The bath wasn't packed properly underneath, I called and asked the company to send someone out to… Read more
settle my concerns as the bath was very weak, I was informed that the person who completed resurfacing has never under packed a bath and has always done a great job, I requested him to come back out to settle my concerns. I never had a follow up call. My bath is not draining properly as there is not enough under packing, less than six months I have this issue. Please don't use.
The bath looks better than new – The bath had a large J shaped crack in it. We worried we would have to replace it at considerable expense. However Steve did an amazing job of repair and recovering it and the bath looks shinier and better than a new bath. I cannot recommend Mend a Bath highly enough. Their staff were wonderful and very helpful. We are very happy with the cost, it was worth every cent.
Great service – Steve came to re surface my bath and what a fantastic job he did, he was very professional and the bath looked amazing, could not believe it was the same bath. Very happy indeed Jackie
Terrible product waste of money – We had our bath resprayed in September and by February a huge bubble appeared under the coating near our new drain. We called them back to fix it and the repair job they did is shonky. The guy reckoned it was our fault because of a droplet of water, yeah right this product should be waterproof and he should have sealed it round the drain properly… Read more
in the beginning. I would not recommend this product to anyone. As we paid cash we weren’t given any warranty or told how to care for the bath after it was sprayed. We found the warranty on the net and it in itself says how shonky the product is. Read warranty before considering this product. Perth WA
Terrible, Shonky & Dodgy – It cracks off, peels, discolours, cheap rubbish!! You'll make your bathroom look like sh#t. Get a new bath, shower and tiles, it'll cost about the same, don't do a cheap looking mend job.
Buyer beware – **Buyer beware** We hired Mend A Bath services in 2016 to re surface our bath. Over the past two years Mend A Bath have been back to our home three times to patch repair the constant peeling of their paint product used. After paint, yet again, sticking to my husbands foot while showering we contacted Mend A Bath for the fourth time. Their… Read more
representative [name removed] came out to our property for the forth time last week to inspect the peeling paint. After inspection I asked [name removed] 'why does our paint keep peeling?' He responded with he 'did not know'
In the warranty signed by [name removed] it quotes:
' This guarantee shall be limited, at Mend A Bath International option to:
A) the repair of the bathtub;
B) a full refund of the monies paid by the customer'
Knowing this we asked [name removed] about the option of a refund which he replied he 'wasn't going to discuss' and simply walked away.
Considering this would be the fourth repair, we didn't think it would be unreasonable to request a refund. We have shown Mend A Bath good faith in the past, giving them three opportunities to repair and rectify their services and products, which is still yet to be done.
We have only ever used and cared for our Bath as per the warranty provided to us.
Inferior products, incorrectly applied and terrible customer service – I had my bath re surfaced 2.5 years ago, in this time I have had it done 3 times under warranty. I now have peeling paint AGAIN sticking to the bottom of my foot and also have the waste drain sealant give way, to which I was told was a inferior product and this has since been changed. I have contacted mend a bath and have asked for a refund, I was… Read more
refused, even though this will be the 4TH time myself and my young family will be inconvenienced and won't have a functioning shower in our home if it was coated again. Neither [name removed] or [name removed] were useful in coming to an agreement where we were happy and we have now paid $700 for a dodgy paint job in our bath, their customer service was some of the worst I've experienced. What a rip off!!
OK for first couple of years then it's all downhill – I had my bathroom shower tiles re-surfaced about 20 years ago, also my bath. The bath hasn't been used very much and remains in fairly good order, although several small flaws have appeared over the years. The shower was ok for nearly two years, then the enamel started to shrink over the grouting and mould started forming. I used their… Read more
recommended cleaner to start with but eventually nothing cleaned it properly and the mould just remains. I would never recommend having shower tiles re-sprayed, their 10 year warranty is useless. They did try to correct this with several re-sprays but the same thing kept happening, the product just doesn't wear well at all and today my shower area looks terrible, nothing cleans it satisfactorily.
