Metro Shower Screens and Wardrobes

Extraordinary and ethical service! – Unlike some other reviews, I only have high praise for this company. I needed a shower screen replacement for a rental property. The company had to deal with a tenant who was very difficult to communicate with and did not make it easy to make an appointment. The company persisted and finally came round to install the screen. The young tradesman phoned me up to say that he was reluctant to install the screen as some of the tiling was loose and had a soft base. I came to inspect and fortunately, the tradesman's hunch was correct - years of water leaking in the corner joint had started to rot the underside and internal sides of the shower! Because of the alert from the young tradesman I was able to find the leak and fix it. This potentially saved me tens if not hundreds of thousands of dollars in damage as the underside of the house was a pool of water from the leak and it was only a matter of time before the house foundations would have sunk and the floor rotted. The tradesman could have done the work and not told me - instead his ethics compelled him to alert me to the potential problem, even though this meant the his trip was wasted and that the installation was postponed. Clearly, doing the right thing was more important than money for this company. After I fixed the problem, the shower screen was installed, and I was pleased with the quality of the replacement screen. Well done!

Worst company I have had the misfortune of dealing with in years – I used them to do a built in wardrobe fit out with new doors. They managed to fit the wrong wardrobe internals and stuff it up. No quality control, no apology, hopeless and pathetic customer service. Very unprofessional use someone else.

Metro shower screens and wardrobes are total crooks – This guy is totally hopeless. We booked him to install our shower screens and mirror. The guys name is [name removed] he says he does the apartments in Barangaroo which is really disturbing. The first time he was scheduled to come he never showed up, and gave the excuse that the supplier lost a panel for the shower, so booked another time and this time he came with all the panels but the mirror was damaged on the side. So he booked a third appointment where I had to miss work again and he showed up 3 hrs late. Installed the mirror which was scratched and took off. We noticed the scratched called him back but he was full of excuses and then said he would replace it and we have to clean up the smashed glass and if our basin is damaged when he removes the glass he will not take responsibility. In the end he tried to blame our cleaners for the scratch on the mirror and we have not heard from him and he doesn't return our calls - don't use bad [name removed]!!!
