Suspicious off the get go. 2. They gave no explanation for why the quote was issued and why an electrical inspection was proposed. I later came to find out that all that was needed was a new hot water unit! Nothing to do with the switchboard at all. 3. They said the price was that high because they work off unit rates which include material, however being a sparky myself I know that you could literally replace the whole switchboard for that price! This company are making their money by overcharging people who aren’t in a position to call them out on their extortionate prices. Hiding behind unit rates is not an excuse for price gouging! This company are borderline charlatans.
