The vacuum suction is incredible but the cat/dog head is an absolute nightmare to clean. I have a long haired dog (Australian Shepherd) and you need to full unscrew and disassemble the head to cut hair out etc. Id opt for a Dyson instead, at least their heads just slide out for a clean. No tools required. For the price of this vacuum, it should not be this difficult to clean it. Especially given it’s marketed for pets. Show details
Worst vacuum cleaner I have ever used. I purchased the Miele boost. Since only using Dyson in the past, I thought to give a Miele a try. The vacuum was only 1 week old when parts fell off. Extremely poor quality. I then contacted Miele who then referred me onto Harvey Norman, which then referred me back to Miele. I was absolutely shocked at the… Read more
poor quality. I will never purchase a Miele again. Extremely poor customer service ! Absolutely terrible vacuum. Please do not purchase this rubbish vacuum !
Be warned. DO NOT BUY if you have to a) daily b) have pets and/or children c) live in a big mansion d) live near a busy street d) all of the above. YOU WILL REGRET FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE !!!!!! Or you want to use it for decoration. Absolutely useless. Since it clogs up with dust after like 5 minutes of vacuuming, forcing you do clean barrel,… Read more
filters and attachments after every. single. clean. Filters have to be changed between 6-12 months at $118 a pop ($59 for CX FSF and $59 for SF-AH60 filter ) though if you have a), b), c) and d) above, you will have to change filters more like every 2-3 months so $ 118 x 6 = $708 a year. More than the god damned vacuum itself. If you don't change the filters, you can wreck the motor apparently. Maybe let it blow up and then claiming your home insurance might be more cost effective solution !!! People who love this vacuum are e) clean and hygenic single f) live in small apartment 50m2 or under g) live in high rise above 15 stories h) pet free. When I bought this damned thing, was told I didn't have to change the filters until around 11/2-2 years or after 60 hours of use. I used this damned thing sparingly - only 10 minutes a week for the first 20 weeks before it started giving problems and I had to clean the damned filters constantly. Bing Lee won't take it for repairs until I had either cleaned and/or replace filters. So unless the damned thing will not work with brand new filters, the retailer won't return it under warranty or return for repairs. DO NOT BUY THIS MONSTROSITY !!!!
I purchased a Miele cx1 cat & dog vacuum from Harvey Norman, a few weeks after buying it the head stops spinning... We gave up constantly cleaning and fixing it & we try to return for a replacement or refund, as the machine doesn't work anywhere… Read more
near AS ADVERTISED, but the manager at Harvey Norman Warrawong said it needs to be sent away due to Miele policy where they need to inspect it and possibly replace the head. This tells me: DON'T BUY MIELE & DON'T EXPECT Harvey Norman to obide by the Consumer Guarantee requirements until FORCED. I left a review on the Harvey Norman website but they removed it.
Follow-up · The vacuum stopped working one day, but the day I went to return it, it was working again. I never heard backfrom Miele, seems they're aware of the rubbish they sell and don't care about truthful reviews. Expensive doesn't mean it's good. Avoid this brand like the plague.
We bought this vacuum about 2 years ago from The Good Guys and picked it up for only $436 including Gold Service Extras! Pro's: I find it has great suction when the HEPA filter is kept clean and does a really good job of having clean exhaust air, which is important for me. Having owned a few cheap vacuums previously (sub $200), that's a point of… Read more
difference.
It's compact for storage and the long telescopic handle is helpful as I am over 2m tall. I have 2 daughters that leave hair all over the house, and it does a great job of picking that up (we have polished timber floors and do not ever use the turbo brush, just the normal brush).
Cons: Design has opportunities for improvement: The cord is about 6metres long. It could be a bit longer. The length is a lot better than the really cheap vacuums I've owned previously but I do find myself wishing it was a couple of metres longer.
The accessories are in a totally weird place at the top of the handle, so we just keep them separately in a cupboard.
The front is a bit 'boxy' either side of the suction hose, which means that it can get caught on doorways/chair legs etc.
Comment: Filters: I've read some other reviews complaining about the filters getting clogged up. That has not been my experience. As I said, we've had the vacuum around 2 years, and I'm still good on the final paper filter. Just ordering our first replacement HEPA filter now. We've been renovating so the vaccum has had to deal with a fair bit of brick/cement and saw dust. I've washed it out a few times but it's time for a new one.
Hair in floor brush: As you'd expect, we need to pull the girls hair out of the brush on the bottom, pretty much each time we use it. It doesn't take long to do this, but it seems to be important, otherwise the hair is half caught on the brush and the rest builds up in the entrance to the hose, capturing everything else and making it less 'sucky'. I can't believe how much hair my kids 'moult'!
In summary it's a good vacuum, with some minor design flaws but I would definitely buy it again for this price.
Very happy – I have just used the turbo head for the first time and was really pleased how easily it picked up hairs and threads from the carpet that I struggled to get picked up with my old bagged cleaner. The only thing I must be careful with is to make sure I pick up the vacuum by its handle and not where you open the dust container. Show details · 1
Very disappointing product – This vaccum cleaner has been a constant disappointment, doing little to vacuum dog hair from carpets, despite cleaning filters after each vacuum - this included the foam and paper filters. The system clogs up quickly and the turbo head rapidly is filled with dog hair. Dog hair was removed after every couple of uses, though the speed of rotation… Read more
remains poor. I suspect dog hair has clogged the axles and there is no easy way to fix this. We bought the Miele after our Dyson broke down. I was fortunate to receive a second hand Dyson barrel cleaner a few weeks ago and was again pleasantly surprised at its efficiency. Not only did it clean the carpets - remove the dog hair, but the emptying of the barrel was easy.
Worst vacuum I have ever owned – Poor sucking power. I used it on carpet and hard floors. It is easy to mistake bin handle for the vacuum handle. Such a poor design. Asked for my money back and got it. Never another Miele. Show details

Miele Vacuum – I am happy with my new vacuum cleaner bought from Bing Lee Penrith, does everything I want it to and is very good at picking up cat fur. I use this on hard floors and a couple of rooms with carpet. Doesn't tip over like other vacuum cleaners can. Show details · 1
Amazing – Lightweight and easy to manoeuvre comes with different heads and even looks fancy great value for money and it also and doesn’t take up to much room when stored, suction is great for pet hair too Show reply
Very disappointed – I've only had my Miele Boost CX1 vacuum for 1 year. It has been predominately used for my house floors (no dogs or cat fur) and on occasion my car. Today whilst vacuuming it just stopped working. I've the changed filter. Cleaned out the filter with that ridiculous brush and still can't get it to work. I called Miele to discuss and was met with 2… Read more
week wait depending what the problem is. I'm so sorry but this isn't an inexpensive product! With the rises of cost of living paying almost $500 for I personally except better and tbh better service. I gave this product a chance and in all honesty the suction does not even compare to my old Dyson and bag filter Miele. Do not recommend

Design flaw makes this a Don't buy! – This could have been a great vacuum, it's good value and works well. The problem is that you can't remove the brush roller from the power head for cleaning. This means you can eg vacuum the carpet in 30 minutes, but then spend an hour picking and trying to remove pet and human hair from the roller. The only access is through the gap that the… Read more
fluff gets sucked in.
If you don't clean it, the system loses efficiency quickly, and the longer you leave it, the more tangled it gets.
Sorry, but I can't recommend this vacuum.

Quality Vacuum – After lots of research I settled on the Miele Boost CX1 Cat & Dog Vacuum and couldn't be more impressed! I was looking for a bagless vacuum at a decent price point and found this vacuum at The Good Guys on sale for $499. I chose this because of its turbo brush head to help with picking up all my wife's hair, especially on the carpet. I use it both on hard wood and carpet floors and have found that it does a fantastic job.
