Perfect coffee machine – Love our Miele coffee machine easy to clean programs step by step instructions. Great coffee every time even after 6 years. Any type of coffee great milk heating and frothing both long and short black modes. You can purchase any beans you like and this magic machine grinds them fresh to make your coffee. Winning.

Gets me through the day! – Really easy to use Grinds whole beans fresh for each shot. Easy enough to clean daily and weekly or thereabouts for more thorough cleaning programmes. Dislike the milk hangs off the side sitting on the bench but is easy to attach and detach to go back in fridge complete in the metal container. Service by miele is brilliant for purchase and servicing

Does not make a decent cup of coffee. Too cold – This machine was sent to replace a CM5100 which broke down after 6 months. This machine is of poor quality and it never heats the milk to a reasonable temperature for coffee. It barely heats it above 40 degrees which makes the coffee lukewarm. Took it in to be fixed and was told it was within specifications. Very disappointed as the 5100 was a decent enough machine.

Excellent machine, Strong coffee with a single touch – I bought the Miele CM 5200 to replace a 7 year old Jura J5 machine. The Miele wins hands down.....it is cheaper AND better. It has a similar operational system to my old J5, of using a dial to enter various functions and menu levels, however it somehow makes a stronger coffee. I switched over to the Miele machine half way through a bag of beans, and it definitely tastes much stronger. The CM5200 has a pre brew setting, which produces a stronger espresso with the same amount of beans. This makes it a winner in my books!

The CM5200, with one touch of a single button, allows you to preset and save the exact amount of milk froth and espresso to exactly fill your particular cup size. You then get the perfect coffee every time.

For some strange reason, the only place to see the actual Miele coffee machines is in their display showroom at Frenchs Forest. It's a very odd marketing ploy which I can't figure out? Consequently, i did a blind buy after reading online reviews, and am very happy with my decision.

After 3 months of use, i would like to add to my review above. Firstly, I still like the machine, although I now preheat the milk in microwave for 15 secs which makes a big difference in the coffee temp, as i found it was too cold for my liking if used straight out of the fridge. Also, on one occasion, mid coffee making, the machine prompted me to empty the drip tray. Frustratingly, after completing the action, the entire coffee making started again even though the coffee had already been ground. I now make sure that things like emptying the tray, filling beans etc are checked manually as the CM5200 is not quite intelligent enough to continue the procedure from where it stopped. Having said this, I still love the coffee and would buy it again.
