Rubish - far too frustrating. Poor service – This was the third desk top machine provided under warranty from Miele. Makes great coffee which is why we persevered with it, but the frustration with its ongoing faults has led us to the point where we are replacing with another machine and junking this one. Main issues are ongoing fault messages that cause the machine to stop making coffee. Needs to be rebooted frequently and repeatedly until the "fault" disappears. An example of numerous - continually cancelling brewing to ask for refilling of the beans when the bean container is full. Requires often many reboots before it clear the error and actually makes coffee. Reported faults to Miele on two occasions inside warranty but due to Covid they understandably could not deal with it. Now it is out of warranty and Mile has said no to a warranty claim unless I pay $100s for the faults to be fixed and then write a letter asking for warranty dispensation. Not worth the risk - put the $s to another brand of coffee machine. Hate to junk something that works well - but only when it chooses to work.

A Coffee Lovers Dream Come True – My partner and I tried a coffee at the Adelaide Miele Experience Centre while collecting some supplies. The flavor made me obsess for months, I tried everything to achieve the same coffee experience at home. I researched machines from different manufacturers and for us a Miele came out on top. The CM6350 is at least a few hundred dollars cheaper than the nearest competitor’s machine that wasn’t even fully automatic.

As Australia headed towards lockdown and Cafes were closing, I purchased the CM6350 to help bring a little joy to our household.

We previously used a pod machine for convenience, it was good but I was growing concerned at the number of pods we were sending to landfill and the high price we were paying for coffee. At the end of the day it just couldn’t deliver the same experience as our new Miele.

We have been able to successfully achieve consistent beverages, similar to what we had in store. The results are easily repeatable and extremely consistent. I am a happy man!

The machine is easy to use and after some fiddling, I found the menu easy enough to navigate. You can customize the coffee to your taste and portion size too. With separate profiles, everyone in the house can have drinks just the way they like them. The water and bean containers are plenty large and while the drip tray does need regular emptying, it’s made simple by an integrated pouring spout.

Care and cleaning is required and for our use, thoroughly once per week is sufficient as the machine has to be the best at rinsing its own milk pipework, hot water flush followed by steam, it doesn’t leave a trace. The waste container and drip tray can go into the dishwasher with the exception of the facade which is easily rinsed under running water, as is the brew unit. The two milk texturing pipes are also dishwasher safe.

In the past four months I have descaled the machine once and degreased the brew unit twice. It appears one to two years of cleaning supplies are included in the box. The machine gives plenty of warning when maintenance is due so you can do it when convenient. The display walks you through each step so no need to regularly reference the instruction book.

The only negative we have observed is on a dark facia, the buttons can be a little tricky to see when room lighting is dim.

If you want a consistent coffee with arguably the best milk froth from a machine at the push of a button, this is the one you want.
