Great Dishwasher - Clean & Easy! – Our old Simpson Silenceo 850 was just not cutting it after at least 10 years of trusty service (maybe more!), so it was time to go new. investment, but having had it for two weeks now, we couldn't be happier.

The cutlery tray is awesome and super easy to use - for best results I found stacking all the cutlery in it's own little group is the way to go (think spoons together, knives together etc.), and the extra space in the bottom basket as a result is great. The top shelf has the right size space/height allowing the 'double decker' shelf above one side of the top shelf to house another row of cups! Awesome!

I've purposely not rinsed some items and given the dishwasher a bit of a 'test' with dried on food stuffs (think coffee/milk dried into white cups for a day(!)), and it's cleaned them all! Day old gravy on white china? no problems!

It's seriously quiet (yes, I have found my self having to open it to see if it's really on!), and it does a great job cleaning. I've even placed some plastic Tupperware on the bottom rack and after expecting it to come out all mangled, was happily surprised to find it all ok! Bonus!!

The dishwasher has surpassed expectations and has found me irritating people at work by extolling it's virtues! Nice work Miele, I'll be looking at your other whitewoods when it's time to renovate our kitchen in 12-18 months time!

Almost forgot, everything comes out dry. All the cups, all the glasses, EVERYTHING! This happens on the sensor wash option as well as the intensive, with or without the 'short' function switched on. On reading some other reviews, this was a concern of mine, but I needn't have been worried.

Full disclosure, I bought the dishwasher as a discontinued line at a heavily discounted price (30%), but having used it I would have happily purchased the updated model at full price ($1400). I can't comment on service as I transported it home and installed it myself, but the packaging it was in for transport was top notch and kept it very protected.

I'm not one for writing reviews, unless something is really, really bad, or really, really good. This dishwasher is definitely the latter! Double thumbs up!!

Buy the Bosch – For the money and the reputation I am very disappointed in this purchase. Yes it is quiet. But if I want my dishes clean I have to use the 2hr Sensor setting. awkward - if any dish touches another dish, even slightly it wont be cleaned properly - guaranteed. I am using the expensive powder they recommend and stacking with as much precision as possible and still I get rejects every wash. I spent a lot of time researching dishwashers before I purchased this and was going to get the Bosch - but decided at the last minute to go with the reputation of Miele - big mistake! My friend bought the Bosch (based on my research) and couldn't be happier!! I used to think of myself as a dishwasher 'expert' and see it as a vital appliance so I'm not writing this flippantly or with anger, it is to warn others. My previous dishwasher was an ASKO and I bought that (second hand) 14 years ago - it was cleaning and drying way better than this one (with Aldi powder) up until I replaced it, which I regret now. I have given this dishwasher a good go but if I could go back 10 months, hands down I would have gone with the Bosch. You live and learn!

the only criticism would be I found the dishwasher tablets I was using to be too strong and an filmy feeling was left behind on the dishes, I gather this may be due to the Miele using less water. Since changing to a powder and using less than the recommended amount this has not been a problem. As far a noise when using the Miele, what noise? It hardly makes any, in fact we opened the door the first time round just to make sure is was actually operating. My favourite feature would have to be the cutlery drawer located at the top of the dishwasher, so much better than a cutlery basket. Overall, I'm very happy with my Miele.

went out of their way to remedy the issue and they completely replaced the appliance with a new and updated model. On that note, the replacement appliance is G6620SC - the new dishwasher is fantastic! The short cycle washer extremely well, it's quiet, it's a joy to have.

Fantastic, would recommend – First dishwasher we've bought and it's excellent. It is quiet and we love the cutlery tray. Dishes come out clean and dry. We did initially come across F19 error during operation but got a warranty claim pretty quickly and the repairer fixed it without problems. Love Miele dishwashers – Last home come with a Miele dishwasher, very happy with it. Moved houses and purchased this updated model. Both models wash everything extremely well. Have noticed with having the cutlery tray up top has eliminated some of my cheaper steak knives coming out without tiny brown rust looking spots on them (as did with older model with cutlery basket on bottom) After wash cycle has finished, this model has to have the door manually opened for the contents to fully dry, otherwise items not tilted enough will have some water retention. With properly placed items and opening the door after cycle has finished, would highly recommend this dishwasher.

the runaround.My issue is I wanted to buy a genuine hose joiner kit as I was 1 metre short on my drain hose.

Needs repair after only 8 months use – I'm disappointed with the reliability of this unit. After only 8 months there is a loud noise coming from the fan when the dishwasher starts the drying cycle. with the unit. It washes well and is normally very quiet in operation however I'm very disappointed that this issue has now arisen. Sure the unit is under warranty however the repair is still a hassle I'll need to deal with, and I shoudn't have to.

Long wait for Servicing – My 9 month old dishwasher has an F70 error message and a burning smell. I contacted Miele Serving and the quickest they could arrange someone to come out to repair is 13 days and I live in a major city. can come out a bit quicker so now I only have an 8 day wait, which I still feel is a long time. If they say it is not a warranty issue I will be out of pocket $169 plus parts plus $6.20 per 3 mins if it takes longer to fix than 1/2 hour ask for a 9 month old dishwasher. My previous dishwasher was an Asko but I got talked into a Miele because they had a 'good deal'. I don't think it washes the dishes any better than the Asko. It takes longer to wash, which is frustrating. The Miele cutlery basket is overly bulky and takes up valuable space. It is handy that it is easy to raise and lower the top shelf depending on the size of the pans etc... I use this feature a lot. The filter is awkward to clean and the plastic spin arms look flimsy and get a bit discoloured.

Quiet dishwasher – This is a great dishwasher. It fits plenty of plates, cups, etc and always washes really well. The best feature is it is so quiet! Our only complaint is that it has a very long cycle (we use the eco wash), but when putting it on at night that's not a problem. I'd highly recommend it.  Show details

Amazingly quiet! – I can't believe it is so quiet! The dishes come out of the dishwasher clean and dry, although I don't put soiled ones in. The adjustable racks are a dream and makes it very efficient. Easy loading and unloaded are a feature of this dishwasher and I love the use of space by putting the cultery rack on top!  Show details

You and Miele – Hey, mate, it's a Miele. What can you say? Well, you can say the same thing you can about every other dishwasher: it washes dishes. Fantastic – I find that the dishes are cleaned very well. I don't pre soak or rinse the dishes and they still come out very clean even frying pans and baking dishes. apart from the operation lights on the front. I love the adjustable shelves and the multi use baskets giving you a variety of ways to stack the dish washer. It has a good range of different operating times and wash cycles variant to what you are washing. Cleaning of the washer itself is quite simple and given that we wash a lot of heavy soiled dishes I am surprised at how little build up there has been in the strainer/ filter. Very Happy Jan

Great results every time! – The Miele is very quiet and does a fantastic job every time, from washing to drying. No need to soak dishes beforehand or even rinse them, just scrape off the large particles. Easy to remove filter in the base if any larger pieces get caught, just twist and pull up, empty and replace. Fairly economical to run.  Show details

Wonderful Miele Dishwasher – A great machine. It washes and dries dishes really well. It's very quiet and I love that it gets stains out that might be difficult for other machines. Good quality dishwasher, but not my favourite layout. Runs quietly – It cleans well, but leaves some cutlery dirty if I haven't rinsed them first. That's probably because I like to use the 45degree setting, so it's not as hot. get used to lining the cutlery up (slowly but surely) on the top tray. Takes so long that I really miss grabbing a handful of cutlery and dropping it into the cutlery basket of my old Bosch. It runs fairly quietly which is a plus.

Works Well – The Miele Brand has a good name - we took 3-6 months looking for a dishwasher and got very confused, and finally opted for a good brand, and not disappointed, I have had only one glass problem on a thick drinking glass - not too clean - but all the other items clean - saucepans to delicate glasses in one wash - i always use finish brand to put in - that makes a difference. No smells, easy to clean on the outside and it just looks great. Price wise it is pricey, but the old saying is you get what you pay for.

Good Diswasher – Cleanswell but I rinse first otherwise cheese does not come off. Extremely quiet. That it is quiet. I run the machine on extra hot often but it still gets a bit smelly after 2 days. come back to empty it and it has not washed until you fix the problem. We are very fussy but people that are too busy wow. There are only 2 people in home that is why I don't use everyday. All in all I like it. Wow I must be doing something wrong after I have read others comments below. I am being truthful.

I have never had a better dishwasher – My Miele is the best dishwasher I have ever had. It is nice and quiet and it does not smell bad like other dishwashers. I never have to rewash any of my dishes. Very good and quiet – This replaced our 14 year old Fisher and Paykel. It is quiet and energy efficient. It cleans well and has a good quality finish. It's great, LOVE IT!! – Our model is very quiet, 4 programs are enough to do the job. First time I have the cutlery tray and must say it cleans much better. Everything I need in a dishwasher – Cleans the dishes well, I love the cutlery tray draw- it's so much more efficient! Delay timer was a must and it isn't too loud operating at night - the only thing I hear if I'm not asleep when it starts is my plumbing. Just a great dish washer and damn so quiet, initially was checking ti see if it was working ! Made a – The dishes come out so clean and it is so damn quiet that I was at first checking whether it was working. You have a choice of economical, sensitive wash temperature or light soiling! I love this dishwasher – Hi Ive bought others over my time but you cant beat a Miele dishwasher. Service and install was great, got rid of boxes and everything...small things but some places don't and then you are forever stuffing them in the bin.
