This dishwasher served me well for 10 yrs, never missed a beat - I have just found out cockroaches have destroyed the power board and I will have to replace the machine as a new power board will cost me $850 plus. Never listen to the Salesman hype at your local appliance store. We were told Miele is the best ,you won’t be disappointed. Our Machine didn’t make it to 8 years before the pump died. 2 person household ,very light duty ,very poor performance by what is supposed to be a premium appliance. Our previous machines were Bosch and LG both outperformed the Miele by years. Miele machines won’t do 7500 cycles or last anywhere near 20 years. Show details
DO NOT PURCHASE – Poor quality machine, very poor customer service, promises made and not followed through. Pay extra for a Miele brand and only get 5 years out of it, do not waste your money. Buy something cheaper and will get better quality.

some kind of float failure. Have checked that inlet valve has no restrictions and tilted machine in hope of clearing codes. Rang Miele who said they couldn’t attend for weeks ( covid perhaps) and mentioned a big call out fee. This just seems wrong for a premium brand machine with very little use. This failure cannot be down to wear and tear I’ve hardly used it. Looking at other reviews it looks like the repair could cost as much as a replacement machine from another brand. Not what I expected at all.
UPDATE : Miele contacted me and arranged for a tech to come around at no charge. Apparently a flow sensor had stuck and was going need a new part. Tech says he used strong magnet to free something up and no need for parts. Appears to be OK for now. Just hope it stays fixed- still unclear why it would have stopped working properly. Hope all is well now. Will post updates if anything changes. Thank you Miele.

So quiet don't even know its on – I love the fact this dishwasher has the cutlery tray so you don't use up space in the bottom. It is ridiculously quiet so we don't even know its running sometimes and cleans the dishes perfectly. Only wish it would dry the plastics better but I don't think any of them do that. So quiet! – Compared with other dishwashers I’ve used, Blanco, euromaid and even Asko the Miele is the quietest. The only time you even hear it is during the draining. It doesn’t quite look as good as the Asko but the cutlery tray and not being charged so much more for stainless steal won me over. Show details

Died after 5 years – EDITED: We purchased the extended warranty *which the repair shop failed to mention. This machine was replaced for free with the latest (and better) model. ASAP. I completely back the Miele brand and would 100% buy miele and purchase the extended warranty's via Miele directly. They responded to me on product review directly to resolve this issue. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Purchased 2016. Worked fine until recently. F12 fault. Had repair person out 4 times already!!! Over $350 in call outs. Works again for a wash or two then f12 fault pops back up with 1hr 42 mins left in the cycle. Next option is into repair shop to be stripped at $60/15 mins. At this rate cheaper to throw it away. Had cheapo Westinghouse one prior but wanted a "good one" when we bought this.

Surprisingly just out of warranty and cost of repair nearly same as new – We bought our dishwasher and purchased the extended warranty. fault finding maintenance checks all failed to clear error.
The one biggest factors in buying any appliance/whitegoods, is reliability, and Miele obviously doesn't have it. Judging by comments here and a bit of searching, it has revealed this is a common fault with the Miele dishwasher.
Another supposedly good brand bites the dust. Will steer well clear of Miele products.

service and after waiting on hold for approximately 40 minutes, Miele service told me that I would have to pay $179 call out fee then $34 for every $15 min after initial assessment. Then $600 for the pump. So it may cost $800+ to fix the problem. At the earliest, Miele service will take 20 days to send a technician to fix it. My job number is 7027884. I have received a poor quality product and terrible service for a high price.
Constant Headache... Expensive to replace parts – Bought 3 years ago just after warranty started having F98 error replaced pump aud400 worked for 7 months now F24 error.. Sick of it... Great customer service from Miele – This dishwasher is four years old, two person house. I contacted Miele when it stopped working and they quoted $800 to repair. After Miele received feedback that I was unhappy with their repair quote they sent out the lovely Joel to fix the issue. The dishwasher was repaired by Miele at no cost, I am a very happy customer. Was Useless now Fantastic – As a Miele for Life member we were upgraded to the G4920SC. Very disappointed when the dishes were wet when the cycle was completed and not as clean as my old dishwasher. Great washer – Washes quietly and effectively. My wife loves the cutlery tray. The stainless steel is mark resistant so looks great all the time. Takes plenty of dishes, cups and containers, with a good basket layout. Got the washer for a great price - $1299 ($300 off special deal) from Harvey Norman. suggests; so long as It lasts 8 years i'll be happy. Update December 2024 (7 years & 6 months old) Still working well but there is a noise in the pump. Pulled apart and cleaned (found nothing) the pump system is a bit of an unusual design (has a ball bearing non-return valve and a rubber seal piece that is hard to refit) Hopefully it won't die ! We live in a rural area so getting a tech is not a real option. If it fails I'll have to truck it to a service centre... Has nearly lasted my "mandatory" 8 year period so it nearly ticks the life span box for me. Servicing a family of 8 people it does get a very heavy work out. Operates a minimum of once per day sometimes twice to 3 times.
Faultless – Got this on sale at Good Guys where Miele was taking $300 off all their models. Couldn't fault this machine. Super quiet, lots of different wash functions, plenty of setting, height adjustment came handy several times with pots, easy to clean and great installation service. It would be nice if the door release at end of wash cycle. I found the plates and cups does not dry unless you open the door to release the steam.

cutlery tray is fantastic and allows much more room in bottom tray without the basket. Our last machine was an ASKO which was good, but this cleans better and is quieter. We've also had a bosch in another house - also good, but no where near the Meile. Highly recommend it, particularly as the price wasn't a lot different from top of range Bosch/Asko. Bought from Beta Electrical but sounds like Miele set their own price and retailers can't vary, Harvey Norman were pushing for other brands. 4 star energy & 5 star water.

we are quite unusual people so he will turn up the temp to max allowable in Aust.(65-70 Deg I think) So off he went and we so excited to do the next load.
My wife only cooks twice a week and we eat out or have take away. Tea cups wine glasses cake plates (light stuff mainly non greasy dishes,even rinsed dishes prior to placing in THE MIELE ).
STILL NOT DRYING!
Rang Miele several times but they could not care less. "Sorry sir you need to wash for 3hrs and leave overnight to dry". Our Budget Asko down the beach does all that in 90 minutes.
Our rinse aid costs are quite high as we buy Finish! Maybe thats why our Miele is Finished! So if it was a car, this would have done 20,000Kms not 120,000Kms (Very little use)
After years of F70,F18 and other F's I was happy the repair guy only took $165 to tell us that the machine leaked into the electrics and would cost 2 arms and 2 legs to fix.
Other friends have also had problems with Miele dishwasers, not washing well etc. For a high end appliance and company ,we are really dissapointed. We have had Bosch,Asko and Dishlex in previous homes that have performed better. What brand should we purchase next?
Pretty quiet & cleans well – I had to get used to the cutlery tray at the top of the dishwasher, as I was used to using a cutlery basket. I group all knives, forks and spoons together so it's easy and quicker when unpacking the dishwasher to grab all the spoons etc. to pack away. It cleans really well & is pretty quiet. Best Dishwasher I have used – This dishwasher is super quiet. There are a lot of different settings. Cleans dishes very well and it holds more plates in the tray because of the separate cutlery drawer. Great dishwasher, washes very well – This dishwasher is extremely quiet and dishes all comes out very clean. I like the simple menus and the excellent ECO function. Reliable dishwasher – Does an excellent job of cleaning and drying dishes. Fairly energy efficient and very quiet so you aren't disturbed when you put it on before bed. The cutlery tray is an excellent feature and the racks are sturdy and can adapt to fit different pots, pans and plates. nothing comes out shiny.
I have a Bosch at our beach house and it is one from when the house was newly built in 2002 - and it cleans and dries infinitely better than this machine. Plates, glasses clean every time, and dry. This Miele does not dry completely either.
I bought it based on the brand, but again I think some people are over-awed by the Miele brand and it is hard to distinguish true capacity from their desire that given they paid more, it works better. Definitely not in this case.
How can soft avocado still be on my plates after an intensive wash - I also rinse my plates before a cycle- so this is unacceptable, Miele!!
Something is not right.
In a busy family, no one has time to wash and re-wash dishes- be prepared to do this if you buy this machine. It does NOT clean well or do the intended job of dishwashing.
