25% of a new unit now. I contacted the Miele Care to seek a bit of discount to no avail. I can't help but wondering a high-end unit that charges 3 times of the normal ones, but cannot last more than twice of their life span. It is like buying a German car that is less reliable and expensive to service. I guess my replacment unit would definately not to be a Miele any more.
Miele recommended plumber damaged my brand new kitchen and left without finishing the installation – We just bought Miele Kitchen Appliances with Invoice no 8710153 and asked Miele to recommend a plumber to install the cooking top for us. The recommended plumber Twin Electric did come to install the cooking top this morning. They damaged my kitchen and left without finishing the installation. It is unbelievable that Miele has such a bad service partner and recommend it to Miele' customers. We are very trust with Miele and never doubt that Miele's brand, product and service. And it the right reason that we wanted to use Miele or Miele's partner to do the installation so that Miele's products can work perfectly.
But the kitchen was damaged and the cooking top failed to be installed... We are very disappointed and very sad...
Great! – We've recently completed a kitchen renovation and used all Miele products including the abovementioned gas top. Like several other reviewers, the gas kept "going out" on the main Wok ring. with that wok burner, it's important that some particular parts "line up" or the cooktop thinks it needs to cut the gas supply. Why wouldn't the service company let you know that so you could "fix it" yourself?? According to said repair man, it's not in the Miele manual (tho' I haven't checked). Anyway, I love the cooktop and it's easy to clean and is working great for us (we've only had it in a month or so) Size; streamlined; grates come off easily One burner kept "click-click-clicking" and then the gas would go out randomly
