it was miele a good machine – The Nespresso coffee is great. The Miele coffee machine that dispenses it was Miele okay until it stopped working. Miele servicing expected me to stay home all day as the best appointment time they could give was some time between 8am and 5pm...... (Take a day off). The original purchase cost was $4000.

So after approx 5 years of owning it......

THATS $1000 PER YEAR PLUS THE COFFEE @ $1 EACH

expressing coffee you can end up with mostly water and just a little coffee at the end of the process.

The most disappointing aspect is the lack of service from Miele.

The first time we had an issue it took over 2 weeks to get a service call.

The second issue (expressing just water) I went to the Miele Centre in person only to find no-one could tell me much.

The lady at reception was very good and tried her best.

She spoke to someone at management level who said they would get someone out the next week, but that was a few weeks back and we've seen no-one.

I'm pretty much ready to go back to my good old reliable $160 Sunbeam Cafe Crema.

Great coffee if you have a million dollars to fix it every time it breaks! – I am on my second machine. Each one cost $2,500.00. I fixed the first one several times at the tune of over $1,000.00. I had to buy a second one for $2,500.00 and now the pump on it is broken (not under warranty of course). The pump and service is $1,000.00. I have spent $7,000.00 and I am the only one drinking about two cups of coffee per day. Need I say more?

Takes some learning - but produces great consistent coffee – Our neighbours have the same coffee machine, and don't use it for anything other than short or long blacks. When we were telling them how much we loved our machine, we realised that they had been using their milk frother incorrectly - not hard to do. However, you do need to spend some time to learn how to use the milk frother correctly - you can't just press a button and wait for a perfect result. The initial review on this site also complained of problems and service delays. We also have had problems, but with a system with very many moving parts and internal checks (it tells you if you have insufficient water, or if your disposal unit is full, or if it's need of a service), some of these are to be expected. With a little bit of patience and some thinking power we've been able to solve all of our problems except for wear and tear due to heavy usage. We've now had our machine for over 5 years and it has produced (by my estimate) over 5000 cups of coffee, all at under a $1 per cup (pod + milk). Consistency, Variety of coffee flavours. False errors (reporting a problem when one doesn't exist)

Don't ever buy one – We have had nothing but trouble with this machine, capsules getting jammed and more recently water leaking from the milk frother. It has been in the Miele service dept for over 6 weeks now and the communciation and customer service has been absolutely woeful. taken it back again for who knows how long. We love the Nespresso system and have now bought a Delonghi machine as we love our coffee. I have generally been a Miele product advocate but after this experience I would never buy this brand again. Arrogant attitude who can't back up their premium product positioning with basic customer service. Nespresso Pods Shocking after sales service
