add washing powder instead and not use the twinDos. Don't use the Wifi feature either because that affects the operation. The touchscreen is now non -responsive. Earliest service call is in 4 weeks. For the 5 years we owned this machine, I would say it has been out of action for at least total of 6 months.

This machine has a few quirks I personally don’t like. It will not spin if u are washing a single dog blanket or a single fluffy dressing gown or even a bath mat. drip dry. The second thing I dislike is that when u set the timer there is nothing to tell others that it has been set. The machine looks like it is off. Fine in a single household maybe. Thirdly it doesn’t tell when the cycle has finished. Everything is blank. Lastly most of the cycles are very long, too long in my opinion. Others may disagree but I wouldn’t buy Miele again.

electronic fault it was replaced then next one died after a year or so because it rusted out being a clamp that was not tightened in the factory now died again due to water leak fault. Like I say Miele service has been very good but I would have thought a premium product would not be failing so often. Certainly not a good omen on build quality. The technician is coming on Monday and I expect they will tell me they need to replace the machine - again - all I can say is buy the extended warranty

To update this review. The machine has now failed again - I contacted Miele service and unlike last time they were shocking. The person was dismissive and abrupt. Kept telling me what time it was in Melbourne - like I care - I live in Perth. Told me they would send a Technician tomorrow but could not say other than "between 8am & 5 pm because its "after 12". I pointed out that it was 9 AM and got told "Melbourne time" I said I did not care what time it was in Melbourne. I got told to "call back after 4 pm in Melbourne and we should be able to tell you what time". Like I want to do that after the excessive on hold time. I asked why they could not send me a text or call me back and no response. So tomorrow I will sit around all day probably while waiting for Miele to grace us with their attendance. Quite simply the absolute worst machine I have ever had. Its a pile of Junk and for a supposed premium brand Miele should be well ashamed. Once the warranty runs out the first time it dies again I will junk it and buy another brand. I will never purchase a Miele product again. They claim "always better" which is blatantly not true.

Save yourself the stress. Do NOT buy this washing machine made by Miele. Definitely NOT good enough! – Bought and paid for Miele washing machine from Harvey Norman Moore Park in 09/20. Miele. Salesman called me back saying Miele would attend 9/12/20.

Miraculously, the electronics righted and I was able to use the washing machine so cancelled service call.

On 16/12, the electronics again stopped responding. I called salesman who called Miele and arranged for service call on 18/12/20. Service man attended on 18/12/20. Ran updates. Electronics failed to respond. Washing machine did not work. Service man was super helpful and ordered a part on the spot via his laptop. He said he thought the part would take about 3 days and he would attend to install it as soon as possible after he received it.

It is now 23/12/20. Service man told me earlier this morning the part has not arrived and he doesn't know when it will arrive. Christmas eve tomorrow. In desperation, I called Miele. Waited. Line fell out. Called again. Waited. Finally, someone picked up my call. Wrong department! Transferred to service department. Explained my long saga. Service rep checked. Guess what? Part on back order. Told service man would install when he receives the part. But not before Christmas. And no clue as to when part will be delivered so it can be installed. Asked to speak to manager. Guess what? All managers in meeting! One of them is supposed to call me back but I know not when!

I bought a Miele washing machine because, although expensive, Miele had a good reputation for whitegoods and service. That has NOT been my experience in relation to the washing machine.

The message while waiting on the phone repeats over and over again that Miele is currently experiencing a large volume of calls. No doubt from all the other customers who bought their dud washing machine!

Frustrated. Upset. I have not had a working washing machine for a week. I will not have a working washing machine over the Christmas period. I have no idea when the part will arrive. I have no idea when I will have a working washing machine. Spectacular failure by Miele on all levels.

machine liquid and water you could save as it great choice. Whaling machine has a sensor and weight the clothes and use the laundry washing liquid as it required. The washing is perfect, taking care of your clothes and cottons as they stay always like new. Many option and programme to your convenience. The washing machine work very quiet and sometimes you doubt it is working ??!and go to check as its incredibly quiet. Very happy its important that you know sometime you buy something expensive but it well worth it as you save on many thing like water , electricity , washing powder and liquid. Great product highly recommend. Couldn't find better.

perfect this washer is. Clothes are washed perfectly everything, My whites are whiter, coloureds are perfect. Touch screen and easy to use, even for someone who isnt very tech savy. Silks and wollens program are so soft that even dry clean only clothes come out immaculate with no damage done. Cant express enough how great this washer is. Ive been a Miele customer for years and the service team are amazing even if out of warranty as they have a plege on many parts. Had my drum replaced for free on my last 8 yr old washer that was out of warranty as their promise is a mim 12 year life on the drum. Amazing product and amazing brand.

Great washerand gentle on clothes – I have now had this washer for 4 years without any issues. As it is a front loader it takes about 2 and a half hours for full wash on cold but gives excellent results. I had to get used to using less washing product. It is quiet and easy to operate. TwinDos not the best! – I have recently purchased the W1 with TwinDos and have found simple stains, like tea or dirt, did not come out. The cycle used was cottons 40 degrees. The cycle times are ridiculously long…very frustrating! Show details

ordinary cheaper washing machines to start up. To much of not useful electrics, ie it welcomes you with a welcome sign before you can set the wash. Again time wasting. Wash is not more efficient than any other washing machine. It needs more space behind it than all other brands so if your space is limited then this is not for you.

with Miele customer service and the only way to resolve the issue was to call for a technician. The total cost for a technician is around $180 for service + you pay a price for every additional 30 minutes of labour and it's not guaranteed it can be fixed. We ended up buying a new washing machine.

works well but intermittently – This machine does not work reliably. It has just stopped working altogether on numerous occasions and/or makes a loud beeping sound with an f50 alert. for over 4 weeks, leaving us without a reliable washing machine. He was not surprised at the problem, seems like it is a common fault of this machine. It does work intermittently and when it does, it is fine but I don’t expect to have this level of problem and inconvenience from a Miele. We always purchase Miele appliances because they are generally reliable but not in this case.

German engineering at its best – Best feature? The delay timer, so the wash can be set to start at say 5am, so ready for putting out when you get up. Honeycomb drum ensures no snagging if fabrics. Twin do dispensers ideal as correct amount of detergent is dispensed, for with colour or whites, whichever is selected. The sour smell - it has ruined my wardrobe, my home and cost me thousands – My machine isn't even 6months old. The sour smell the TwinDos system has left on my clothes and infiltrated through any item folded or hanging next to it is irrecoverable. Vinegar/bicarb/60degree does not work. I have spent over $2,200 SO FAR replacing clothes and linen. The dryer is also damaged with the smell. I am now without a washing machine or dryer as I refuse to damage more items. We called the service team and were read out the terms and conditions explaining we would have to pay if this wasn’t a manufacturing issue (how could it not be?) and then were given a service date 2 weeks away! Ridiculous!

does not come under warranty (why would it not???). The first available appointment for a technician is not until 17th April. This is not at all an impressive record. i have owned Miele washing machines all my life and now in my 70's I am not at all happy to find that a new machine does not work. I paid for professional instalment through Miele/HN. Hence my one star rating.

Noisy operation but good wash – This machine is a bit noisy but it gives a good wash on gentle normal and heavy duty cycles No problems with it and the price was good as I got it at 40% off
