Terrible product .Don’t waste your money
We bought this machine from Harvey Norman 1 and a half year ago after our 9 year old Ariston broke.Miele WM is terrible and not working anymore.We hand wash our clothes now .Called Miele to help us as it is still under warranty.They have a waiting of 2 months.2 months I have to hand wash the clothes of entire family along with my job and other responsibilities that too when I bit the bullet and bought such an expensive washing machine.This was my first Miele product and preety disappointed.The error i get is water overflow in the machine when I can’t see any water anywhere underneath.U can’t put clothes in the machine 2 min after cycle starts when it was working .I will stick to my $800 budget moving forward.So upset

But there’s no short time 20 mins wash only washes 1-2 garments and Any other cycle is 2hrs upwards
The worst bit is YOU CANT CHANGE ANY WASH SETTINGS AFTER YOU PRESS START
So if you need to wash something on cold and accidentally forget to change the temp from hot it will hold said item at ransom within its belly until it has completed it’s cycle! No matter if you turn off the machine for hours there is nothing you can do to save a whole lid of delicates

Bought and paid for Miele washing machine from Harvey Norman Moore Park in 09/20. Machine delivered and installed 20/11/20. Electronics stopped responding on or about 4/12/20. Wasted more than 1.5 hours waiting online to speak to Miele service. Gave up. Called salesman at Harvey Norman who was super helpful, apologetic and said he would call Miele. Salesman called me back saying Miele would attend 9/12/20.
Miraculously, the electronics righted and I was able to use the washing machine so cancelled service call.
On 16/12, the elect...ronics again stopped responding. I called salesman who called Miele and arranged for service call on 18/12/20. Service man attended on 18/12/20. Ran updates. Electronics failed to respond. Washing machine did not work. Service man was super helpful and ordered a part on the spot via his laptop. He said he thought the part would take about 3 days and he would attend to install it as soon as possible after he received it. It is now 23/12/20. Service man told me earlier this morning the part has not arrived and he doesn't know when it will arrive. Christmas eve tomorrow. In desperation, I called Miele. Waited. Line fell out. Called again. Waited. Finally, someone picked up my call. Wrong department! Transferred to service department. Explained my long saga. Service rep checked. Guess what? Part on back order. Told service man would install when he receives the part. But not before Christmas. And no clue as to when part will be delivered so it can be installed. Asked to speak to manager. Guess what? All managers in meeting! One of them is supposed to call me back but I know not when! I bought a Miele washing machine because, although expensive, Miele had a good reputation for whitegoods and service. That has NOT been my experience in relation to the washing machine.

WCE330 - unreliable and not recommended for purchase
This is our second WCE330 washing machine. The first was purchased through the Miele Seconds Outlet. This machine was returned due to an unresponsive electronics panel very shortly after purchase. This was after Miele provided their guarantee that the seconds machines are stringently tested to meet their very high standards. We purchased the same model machine again (this time - brand new) and again the machine has had to be returned due to a faulty/unresponsive electronics panel. This was not before there was a faulty water gauge identifie...d when machine was approx two months old. We owned the second machine for approx 10 months. I’ve given two chances - so no more. I need a machine that will wash when programmed to do so. I shall be brand swapping. Nowhere near good enough Miele!
Purchased with high hopes but it is ruining my clothes
Everyone recommended Miele to me. I buy quality clothes to last and wanted the best machine to care for them but this is just terrible. It's stripping colour and making brand new clothes look old. I have checked manual for settings, asked advice, followed wash instructions to but it is simply not fit for purpose to care for quality clothes. I'm so disappointed. I do not recommend this model.

Very poor customer support
We have a 12-month-old washing machine that is not emptying. I followed the instructions to fix the issue but still, the machine has 10+ cms of water in the drum. And it will have to stay like that for a week because Miele can't get anyone out before then.
I waited for 35 mins to get through to tech support who proceeded to ask me questions relating to a completely different fault. Beyond what the manual advised the tech was not able to offer further advice - apart from me what the call-out charge was.
We have a Miele dryer and dishwasher, ...again all only 12 months old, and all perform well below what I would expect for the money spent. I will never buy Miele again. We had a Meile dishwasher 3 or so years ago - it was the best thing since sliced bread, but the latest product/s have been a serious letdown.

The sour smell - it has ruined my wardrobe, my home and cost me thousands.
My machine isn't even 6months old. The sour smell the TwinDos system has left on my clothes and infiltrated through any item folded or hanging next to it is irrecoverable. Vinegar/bicarb/60degree does not work. I have spent over $2,200 SO FAR replacing clothes and linen. The dryer is also damaged with the smell. I am now without a washing machine or dryer as I refuse to damage more items. And I'm still waiting for a result from Miele.

Very frustrated with Miele Twindos.
After paid $179 service fee, container 1 (deteegent) is still not detected. Ordered 6month worth detergent now i cannot use it at all. Not worth the money. Should order a standard washing machine. My old LG one is working much better.

Absolutely furious . Have been allocated a technician visit for $179 cost. Unable to set the twin dos system.Have followed all the instructions. Machine 9 weeks old. Will trade in for another BRAND as soon as possible.

I have a number of Miele devices and am generally quite happy with them. This washing machine however performs worse than any prior washing machine I've owned. Within months it produced a sour smell on my clothes, first time I've ever experienced this (am trying the vinegar solution now). It is the worst machine I've owned regarding the removal of (minimal) cat hair.

Expected Better from Miele!
Having been happy longtime Miele customers since the mid 1980's we returned to purchase a Washer /Dryer package for our new home. We rented during construction & had them stacked until placing them separately under bench on the timber floor of our mudroom.
We have just started to install the washer and find that without the weight of the dryer the washer vibrates at an awful level which we would not have expected or accepted had we known prior to purchase. Contacting Miele they advised to run the Spin Cycle at 900 RPM which leaves clothes too...wet. We have found out that Miele Washing Machines supposedly need a Concrete floor but the level of vibration we are experiencing seems to be only mitigated by weight on top of the machine. This obviously has issues and since we have limited space the logistics to solve the problem is going to be both difficult and costly. Miele need to specify in large print on Product Information or advise by their Retailers "Do not Install unless on a Concrete Pad" otherwise vibration occurs ". Since Miele Washing Machines can run spin cycles at 1600 RPM our research indicated that at this speed vibration would damage the unit and is unacceptable for a machine costing in excess of $1500. Given our observations it seems that the machine with or without a concrete floor requires the weight of the dryer to mitigate the vibration of the washer to an acceptable level.

Quiet and efficient.
After decades of machines bouncing around, smelling foul and having assorted problem we lashed out and bought a Miele. Calm, you hardly know its on; water efficient, we are on tanks; and does a perfect job. Worth paying the extra for a quality machine.

Faulty Touch Screen
We purchased the model 3 weeks ago and after only 2 cotton washes, we went to use it a third time and the entire screen is non responsive! We can use the dial to turn the machine to cotton but then can’t select the RPM, temperature, colours/whites or even start the machine! Very frustrated! To add to this, the machine is also leaking underneath! We called the service team and were read out the terms and conditions explaining we would have to pay if this wasn’t a manufacturing issue (how could it not be?) and then were given a service date 2 weeks away! Ridiculous!

New Machine that failed on the second wash
I purchased a brand new machine from Harvey Norman, Alexandria. I used it once and it worked fine. I rang Miele Product Expert this morning. They did not have information on the model that has a dial rather than a START button. Promised to call me back but I had to call them back. Was read the "riot act" about me being responsible if the job does not come under warranty (why would it not???). The first available appointment for a technician is not until 17th April. This is not at all an impressive record. i have owned Miele washing machines all my life and now in my 70's I am not at all happy to find that a new machine does not work. I paid for professional instalment through Miele/HN. Hence my one star rating.

Noisy operation but good wash
This machine is a bit noisy but it gives a good wash on gentle normal and heavy duty cycles No problems with it and the price was good as I got it at 40% off

A piece of junk
Have owned Miele washers for 17 years and have been so happy with them. Even bought one for my parents and one for our daughter. Now with our 3 months old machine-touch pad has stopped working. 1 service call failed to fix problem. We just wanted a well built machine that works, no need for the fancy touch pads and mobile connections. Miele has agreed to replace it. Still German made but not made the way they used to.

Purchased 2 years ago on sale from Miele and option of half price dryer included which I also purchased.
Lots of wash options but love the 20 minute cycle or woolen cycles, Note some cycles very long so do not use them.
This is my second Miele washer and I would not purchase another brand

Do all my washing but not doonas. The features are great. Machine washes clothes well particularly delicates. Cyles cab be a little long on some. Uses very little washing powder for good results.

My Miele W1 has error message saying “cannot be changed”. I tried turn on/ off and plug off and back in. No buttons work either. How shall I resolve it?
Hi just wondering if anyone got their washing machine replaced as I have the same problems.Washing machine smells due to twindos, rough on clothes, towels come out like cardboard. My clothes are not washed properly. Am I wasting another $180 to get a tech to check that this machine should not be sold at all. I paid $2000!!!!!!
Hi, there. My machine failed very soon after I bought it. Miele could not get the replaced part installed before Christmas which was a big problem. Would not offer replacement machine either - not even a loan machine.
Hours on phone waiting for service. After much frustration, I contacted sales person who mediated on my behalf (having bought Miele oven/dishwasher/dryer from him). He arranged for me to return the washing machine to Miele and I bought a different brand. Love new machine and washes brilliantly. Think Miele has a glitch in its electronics and is relying on its reputation and not its current performance. Sorry unable to be more help.
