Not working – W1. Press on. Says cannot be changed. Starts up but no water or motion. Beeping. Says call service. How to fix ? This after a hot wash. No start light.
So disappointed, overpriced doesn’t clean – Has not cleaned clothes properly since day 1. White socks come out dirty and grey, colours end up like pastels, expected more. Thankfully the matching dryer is good. Never buying Miele again Show details
Don't waste your cash – Miele sell a dream that their washing machines are tested to 20 years use and the highest quality, I don't know how they then can explain / justify that their machines last less than half this time. I guess they don't have that much faith in the products as they only offer a 2 year warranty. We had an ASKO washing machine previously which after… Read more
10years was still working fine, we had friends recommend a Miele as we wanted a larger unit due to growing family. We purchased a WKB130 front loader trusting the German engineered quality story and believing that we could expect around 15+ years of hassle free use! The machine has not reached 6 years of age and as we work like most people the unit was only doing around 6 loads a week. The machine had been making some noises when on the spin cylce which I thought meant something was out of balance, then I noticed a burning smell and saw sparks inside the washer. Being an experienced electrician and fearing that the machine could catch fire whilst we may be out I investigated the issue by disassembled the unit. I have found the drum carrier has been eaten away as it's only made of an alloy. I have been trying to source spare parts without success. This machine basically need everything that supports the clothes washing drum, bearings, seals and support frame at LESS THEN 6 YEARS OLD...... I won't buy Miele again.

Just like the dryer, it is worth every cent – Our old Samsung washing machine which we paid almost $1000 for 6 years ago finally packed it in for good. It had died after 3 years and 1 month. At the time I paid for the extended warranty so we managed to get it "fixed". Now when I say fixed I mean they basically got it to spin again, but it was never the same. Noisier than a 747 and constantly… Read more · 3
having problems with it.
Much like the dryer we replaced we decided no more of this buying "cheaper" machines, we want something that actually lasts. We have 4 children so having something that is efficient and effective that will be used more than the average, it was important we got something quality. Having already purchased a Miele dryer and being so impressed with it, we decided to buy a Miele washing machine as well.
This model was currently on sale so we bought it on the spot. Down to $1699 with free delivery it was hard to pass up.
We purchased it last week on Tuesday night and it was delivered and installed Thursday morning and since then we have already put it through its paces. It has plenty of settings and simple to use and almost silent.
Clothes come out looking less tangled and tortured if that makes sense.
This thing weighs a ton, not exactly, but compared to all of the machines we have had so far, most definitely more than the average machine. It feels far more sturdy and robust and just everything about it is simplistic but well made.
You look at some of the other washers on the markets and they seem to have all these fancy bells and whistles, special screens and everything else, but the build quality on them doesnt quite seem as good. Miele do one thing really well and that is focus on what is key to the devices uses and make sure it does them well and for a long time.
The only poor experience I have had so far with our foray into Miele products is that when we had this delivered and installed, the installation was not done well at all.
We need to have these units (Washer and Dryer) stacked and I purchased the mounting kit for it which is basically a plastic plate which screws into the washing machine to hold it there securely (I had no idea what it was, I thought it was a spacer similar to the one I saw in one of the brochures).
Because of the location of our taps this was actually not going to work because the dryer would hit on them. Previously I had quickly fabricated a platform using timber left over from working on my deck to ensure that the taps were clear. This sat on top of the old washer without a problem as it distributed the weight evenly.
Because this spacer / plate was only a cm or 2 in height it did not clear the taps obviously and there for had to sit forward which then blocked the doors.
I did not know this at the time and assumed if they had issues with it the installers would have told me. Instead he said it was all right to go and to just leave the test wash going for a couple of hours and then come check on it as it should be fine. I heard them before coming out opening and closing the door so assumed they managed to get enough clearance for it.
Not only that but they did not attach the water return hose onto our pipes under the sink with a simple ring clamp and when I went back in after a couple of hours to check on it, our laundry was flooded. :(
Now I unscrewed their mounting plate and placed the dryer back on top of my home made platform and it is fine. Just now we have screw holes on top of our brand new Miele which is a little annoying.
If it was not for this experience I would have given it a 5 star review because the product itself is amazing.
Second time Miele WM purchase – Replaced my eleven year old W1213 last week. Whilst still going strong (and new owner delighted) we thought it was an ideal time to upgrade, without the time-pressure of sourcing a replacement of a dead machine. Reviewed the market, keeping an open mind, looked at all brands, spec sheets and user feedback. In the end all collated information… Read more
pointed us back to another Miele. First impressions, after a dozen or so loads of washing has been super impressive. As a family of three, who does not generate any significantly soiled clothing, we find the Express Wash 20 minute cycle hits the spot for the bulk of our laundry. Clothes (particularly whites) are appearing exceptionally clean and, compared to the old W1213, with much less creasing. Installed the machine myself and needed to get the levels (leg adjustments) spot on to keep the machine from shaking on the 1600 spin cycle. Hopefully this new machine has the longevity of it's predecessor and gives us many years of trouble-free service.
Very Happy With Purchase – I purchased the Miele WKB130 a month ago to replace my rusted up, water guzzling Whirlpool top loader. This is my first front loader Ive owned so I didn't know what to expect. The machine itself is very quite, not loud or clunky with the exception of it vibrating and making a noise when it starts up the spin cycle but then goes quiet at full spin… Read more
speed. Is that normal? (I think hubby didn't level it correctly when he unpacked it and installed it, said he could do it himself to save on the install fee).
My clothes on the cottons setting come out clean (even ones that had dried clay, dirt or tomato stains) don't look damaged (with the exception of a white top sneaking in with the dark load by accident which went grey). On the delicates setting (and the use of a wash bag) fragile clothes and lingerie come out clean and undamaged. I did purchase the Miele washing liquids to give them a go and they seemed to work much better than Dynamo liquid which partially kept getting stuck in the drawer dispenser and not going through the wash as well as leaving a bit of residue on clothes. Towels do come out a little bit rougher than usual but my towels are pretty cheap and not high quality so it doesn't worry me that much anyway cause there were a bit rough to begin with. My bed sheets do wash up lovely and soft without any fluff or debris that used to still be stuck on then when washed in my old whirlpool. I have not washed blankets in it yet which would be the final test as I'm wondering if one will fit in the drum.
I was advised to keep the door open at all times when not in use and so far have not has a problem with any smells or seeing any mould build up, its only been a month though so its probably too soon to notice. All in all I'm very happy with my Miele.

Miele washing machine faulty after only 4.5 years! – Our last Miele washing machine lasted 12 years but this one had not made it to 4.5yrs. The backlight in the display failed resulting in a black screen and no visible display- this requires a $450 part (complete control panel electronics chip) and $180 call out fee as the Miele technician has to load new software on it. Be prepared to spend a lot… Read more
of time on the phone, we requested Miele repair the fault under the Australian Consumer Guarantee Law. Miele have proven to us they want to stand out for being better than other manufacturers and when we raised our concern they contacted us to replace the faulty panel for us at no additional cost even though it was outside the warranty period. We are very happy with Miele’s care, understanding and assistance with a great solution.
Worth it – Always wondered if they lived up the hype and they do. They definitely aren't the cheapest but I am so glad I saved a little longer. It's quiet, it washes brilliantly, the quick 20-minute option is great for late-night uniform washes! Show details · 1

Very disappointing – Does not get clothes clean on handwash cycle. Very annoying. Ultra long cycles - 3 hrs for cottons. Need to 'clean' the machine every month or it will not wash towels. Show details
I’d rather have my old one thanks – This machine washes OK but doesn’t dry as well as my 20yo Miele, despite its alleged spin speed of 1600rpm compared with my old machine’s 1200rpm. Things come out of the 20yo machine much dryer than this one. Don’t buy it!!!

Very disappointed – This machine tangles clothes very badly in the wash. I have had 5 calls to Miele, and a recent service call, to no avail to date. I am now told I need to wash groups of items separately. I did not have to do that in the Asko machine that I owned previously. I am still awaiting some resolution to the problem. The service visit resulted in a 'software upgrade' to no avail. Not recommended Show details
Miele has resolved this problem and provided a refund.

Impressed with our 20 year old Miele and my son purchased above model two years ago – Have been using a Miele for 20 years and have not had one single issue. Consequently my son purchased a Miele 18 months ago and loves it especially the pre ironing facility. Has had no issues at all. My other son son has just purchased a WKG 130TDos. He is experiencing issues with the TDos and Miele is actively trying to solve the problem. They believe the actual cartridges may be faulty. Watch this space! Show details · 1

Loads of functions and great on price! – We went to buy a LG but the prices were outragus and this model was on sale so we picked it turning out to be the best buy we've done in the past 3 years! It washes just the same as the big name brand and cleans just as good! Show details · 1
Love this Washing Machine ❤️ – First time I have ever owned a front loader. Done my homework on them went to buy a Bosch. That went out the window... Miele with their sale on won me. Great to use – Easy to use, great options for different cycles. Cleans great and everything comes out almost dry with a fast spin! Generally quiet, quick cycles helps do a few loads in a short amount of time. Drum is a bit small. Clothes turn out good don’t really notice any wear on the clothes. Show details
Best companion to cloth nappies! – This machine and it's partner in crime dryer have been the staples of our home over the past 6 months. Having a newborn in modern cloth nappies makes you a bit of a slave to your laundry room. Fortunately the Miele washer set have been outstanding, a rapid rinse, and efficient but effective wash have left our cloth nappies looking nearly new after dozens of washes. It washes all the other clothes well too! Show details
Can't live without it – Wonderful machine. Uses half washing powder and has a quick and easy washing programme. There are big savings on water usage and washing powder. I can't believe how brilliant this machine is. Makes life much easier. Would recommend Miele for any products in the home. They may be a little bit expensive but believe the savings in the end are worth it. Show details
Works great n a few issues – It works pretty well except some deep stain is not removed completely. It doesn't wear out my clothes. The majority are well-cleaned. I don't have to worry about my clothes being ripped or stuck with laundry powder. It's quiet when i wash clothes that don't have big button.I I don't have a favuorite feature. Show details
Dry cleaning – Washes really well and doesn't seem to damage the clothing if you follow the settings.it is quiet enough to still listen to the TV and I was really happy when I put the missuses dry clean only blanket in it. Using the delicate setting it came out unharmed. good job Miele Show details
Great Meile washer – Gosh my towels have never been fluffier until this machine. Download the manual and read it well as we needed to set our delicate option . It was not washing well on delicate cycle so we had to program that in. Lots of washing cycle options. I love the express, the dark cycle. The soaker cycle really helps to get stains out of clothes. The rice only cycle is quick. Show details

Just love it EXCEPT :- – I have only had my first front loader washing machine for 3 months & love it EXCEPT FOR the washing of towels. They dry rough & hard, not soft & cuddly. Please, could someone tell me the best settings to use for good results when washing towels. I would be eternally grateful. Show details
Perfect for My needs Highly Reccomend! – It cleans the washing very well without using too much water. It has a lovely variety of washing cycles that can be used. It does have some longer cycles on it. The cycle I mostly use is 59 minutes and that works very well. The machine is very gentle on clothes and it works quietly in the laundry. My favourite feature is that it is 8.5 kg and is capable of doing a big load of towels or two lots of queen size sheets in one load. Show details
Not recommended at all – It does wash clothes probably My clothes get holes after wash Since I bought , I am trying to find out which is the best option but none of is working including delecate cycles. Very bad customer service I've ever seen. I used to have Fisher & Paycle and it is much more better than Miele. I spend fortune money for this washer , I could get 3 washer in same price I pay for Miele. Service call is very expensive. Now I m thinking of sell this machine and buy F&P. Never buy Miele
Miele WKB130 my clothes have never been so clean! – I purchased the Miele WKB130 as recommended from a discerning friend who raved about hers. Being short on time, I actually purchased over the phone from their unboxed warehouse and had delivered 2 days later. I couldn’t be happier. My first front loader. Was used to a 15 yo top loader. before I leave for work and get into the dryer. And SUPER clean using their white powder, which you use only half a scoop of. Highly recommend. Worth the spend, especially as on sale.
Love it – I purchased this washer after having a bad experience with a fisher & paykel that had nothing but problems. Never had a front loader before. Well, I love it. Washes beautifully, quick wash is awesome. Done in 20 minutes. So easy to use. I was sceptical but have converted to front loaders. Show details
Miele is German engineering at its best – We've had this washer for 15 years and it hasn't missed a beat. It's getting a bit more noisy these days but it still works as good as ever, it's seen us through raising out family and washing loads every day. We wondered about spending the extra at the start but have never regretted it. Show details
Lemon – Broken after 2 weeks!!! Assured it s a good machine by service agent despite the fact that they can't fix it! Advised the circuit board might faulty and would take a few weeks to get a new one but they won't quite sure what the problem was??. I am still waiting for miele to contact me. But they won't quite sure what the problem was?? Terrible machine terrible service wish I had bought an Asko. Previous asko was 15 years trouble free! Show details
Fantastic washer – Had this for a few months now and love it. Does 1600RPM and it's very quiet for that speed. Washes really well. Has 24hour timer which works well. Controls are touch based and work really well. Much quieter than our old LG. Lots of different cycles. Expensive but worth it for premium quality and always good washing results. Very happy. Quiet and worth the money – We've only had our washer for a short time, but it does a fantastic job of washing our laundry. It has handy settings like pre-ironing your clothes (although how well it works is debatable), delay start and auto load sensing so that if the drum isn't full, it only use the water and energy needed to do the smaller load. It's also very quiet, which… Read more
is a vast improvement on the old Electrolux we had. That thing sounded like a jet taking off when it was on its final spin cycle.
Was fine - til it broke! – Yes I've had it for 6 years - no real complaints until now except perhaps didn't pull enough water at spin and possibly responsible for holes I continue to find in my t-shirts (the wash is so damn long) BUT it it now broken (possibly due to tachometer possibly mother board was gone, Miele technician could given me definitive answers except it… Read more
would cost st least $800 to fix).
With any other brand I wouldn't complain but for the cost of purchase and the "quality German Engineering" sales pitch I got - with the implication that the machine would last me 20 years - i am not happy. The technician told me "they don't make them like they used to" so don't believe the quality pitch - you will be disappointed.
New purchase will be either Fisher and Paykel or Bosch - the inevitable break down won't hurt so much! maybe I'll stretch to a speed queen. Off to research on product review.....
Very bad ! – The drum dirty is left over ! Many fluffs stay in the drum and puts onto the black dresses !He is washing the dresses very rudely. Quasi without water his front. The dresses are stretched out! I do not recommend Miele! Onto washing incongruent. But quiet, he does not have more benefits !I regretted that I bribed it very much. Show details
Best machine I have had, cannot compare to past machines – Clothes come out fresh and clean every time. It is quiet and does not move around and sticks to the time on the counter. The 20 minute wash time is the best I have had on a front loader and adjusting the different times for the need is a great extra. Show details
Money well spent! – This machine washes muddy clothes to delicate baby clothes leaving them looking like new! Money well spent. I use the Miele fabric softener along with Omo sensitive liquid and have not had an issue. Is so quiet, I love that it is so simple to use yet does an amazing job! Show details
