Great machine but no service – I would give the machine 5 stars but the service lets me down. 2 months of waiting and several calls and nothing. This is after spending 20k on Miele appliances in the last 3 years. Shame on you Miele australia as you let the whole brand down.
Great machine but bad service – Great machine but 0 stars on service. After waiting for 2 months and we still have nothing on a simple service. This is after spending 20k with Miele over the last 3 years. Shame on you Miele Australia for giving Miele a bad name.
Failed! Stopped after 3 months. Junk. Terrible customer service – The machine has stopped. I hope to return it under Australian Consumer Law (OFT) Many other people online have reported their Miele failed also. Abbrasive and unhelpful staff member when i called Miele. Then placed on hold for Service Dept for 40 minutes until the call dropped out. Wow, im going back to the great cheap washing machines ive bought before. Ive bought many machines for a rental complex and not one has ever faile, ever. This overpriced Miele lasted about 20 washes, 3 months. Contacted Miele PR as other unhappy customers had been advised to on review sites. No answer. My advice, dont be fooled by the stupidly high price, ours lasted 3 months! (installed New Years eve, failed March 20th)
Purchased in for $2,300.
Daniel, If you read my review, you would have seen that i have already written to that email address several days ago with zero response. Separate to this, I've also waited on hold for Miele for over 2 hours combined. I have tried Miele chat which just directed me back to the service area. Before buying expensive Miele appliances, i suggest you read some actual real customer reviews. Here's an example https://www.productreview.com.au/listings/miele-w1-wce-series or this one https://www.productreview.com.au/listings/miele-w1-wce-series Customers should be very happy when they buy such an expensive appliance, not smashing it to pieces with a sledgehammer, but this past week, i understand his frustration.
As for Miele Online Service booking -I tried this after waiting on hold forever, listening to recorded message about delays caused by large volume of repair bookings, which is not surprising for a product which fails after 3 months despite costing more than 6 times the price of my machines in a rental property complex. The 14 Euromaid machines cost $349 and haven't missed a beat in 14 rental properties. Im currently using my late father's $299 Aldi machine which is working perfectly after 6 years. I'm driving many kilometres and waiting for washing cycles to complete, despite having a $2300 white metal ornamental Miele box in my own laundry. How very convenient. Miele Online Service form wanted me to pay $179 service fee in addition to $34 per 15 minutes, plus parts on top (yes i know it has 10 years warranty, but i've selected the warranty option and provided the warranty number in the online booking). It stated a waiting time of 2 weeks and I needed to be home for a whole day waiting for the technician. I would understand more if this appliance was 7 years old. Ive also called the number provided onscreen when customer has a warranty but that is a 3rd party warranty insurance scheme. The Miele service phone number places customer on hold indefinitely while suggesting the customer book online. The online booking process fails on so many levels. Today i will try selecting the Sales option and I expect that will get me straight through to a person. I doubt they will be helpful based on my experience so far. I explained to the staff representative who finally answered on my initial call that I do not want service, i expect a refund. If a $2300 washing machine fails after 3 months use and other customers report the same problem, I dont want the machine. Trying to contact Miele is a nightmare, and i don't want 10 years of this frustration every time this product fails and lets face it, this machine is likely to fail. I suggest that customers who have an expensive Miele appliance fail after a short period should investigate their rights under Australian Consumer Law in their own State or Territory to have the contract rescinded and the faulty appliance refunded. The entire experience of after sales service is extremely poor and very frustrating. Before you consider Miele, customers should try to call service, or use Miele Online Service Request. Get an idea of what you will experience AFTER you've parted with your large amount of money for "high end" appliances.
Still no response from Miele. Customers, think twice and read the reviews on here before you buy this brand.
Hi Mike. I'm very sorry for the delay in a response from our team. I've chased this up with our team and asked them to contact you as soon as possible. Kind regards, Daniel.
Same problem? – We've had our machine just under 3 months. The touch screen doesn't respond, so even if you accept all the defaults, it's impossible to start a cycle. Evidently the cement used to connect the touch screen to the electronics is not suitable for Australian conditions (humidity) so has to be replaced. The parts have to come from Germany so we are going to be without a washing machine for 3 weeks.
No loan machines but they did offer to reimburse Laundromat fees.
Purchased in at Bing Lee Physical store for $2,299.
Not even 28 days & requires technician, as does my friends bought same time!! 1 week tech turnaround :( – Friend and I both bought the Meile WWG660 9kg Washer. She rang me yesterday saying her control panel was not responding and couldn’t get it to work. Low and behold mine did the same this morning. 33 mins wait on the phone. Can’t get a tech out for a week for both of us. Rang back. Was informed that the machine needs a “software update by a tech”. Why would you make a machine need a software update that can only be done by a tech that you cant get out til 7 days later.......I’m on the phone now and it’s been 25 minutes. I want to ask about the 30 day return. There are no service partners in our area. Closest is 60 km. We are between Goldcoast and Brisbane. Spent $2300 on a machine with a ten year warranty and I’m now without one for 7 days. Given no time frame during the day. My friend works. It’s so inconvenient.
Hi Nikki, please accept our sincere apologies for the inconvenience of the matter. If possible, can you email your full name, the state you reside in [so we don’t call you too early] and best contact number to prsupport@miele.com.au and a member of our team will be in contact as soon as possible. Please reference your Product Review username so we can identify you. Kind regards, Daniel.
No need to contact myself. A nice lady called Sasha helped me by putting me in touch with a gentleman named Nathan from Victoria. He has organised delivery of a new machine tommorrow. The 30 days money back guarantee starts again. So will review my comment upon using the new machine. My friend has also received the same outcome. Thanks Nikki
