I have an old minijumbuk quintessence quilt. I find it a little heavy but very warm for winter. I would like to purchase another quilt a little lighter. Can you tell me what GSM is in my old quilt? Also, it is not machine washable & wondering what is the difference between the old Quintessence and the Everyday quilt? Thankyou.
Hi Gail, the Quintessence is a 475gsm where the Everyday quilt is 400gsm. With the everyday quilt you can machine wash and tumble dry it also comes with a 7 year warranty. Kind Regards Chloe @ MiniJumbuk
These reviews are very old. I'm about to invest in a new quilt - I am concerned about what I'm read about the smell. I have a very strong sense of smell and the reviews sound terrible. Can the manufacturer respond on this please, with details.
Hi Kathryn, We are aware that there has previously been reviews regarding a smell issue, but we are confident that majority of these customers have contacted our Head Office directly and we have resolved their issue. We monitor our wool process closely to ensure our wool is clean and odourless when creating our bedding. Wool is a natural fibre and does absorb surrounding odours, this is why we would suggest airing our products for a couple of hours before use. If you have a strong sense of smell I would recommend smelling the product before your take it home and ensure you are happy with the product. Hi Gee, The Quintessence quilt is equivalent to our Warm Wool Quilt. The wool fill is very similar but you may find the Warm is a lighter quilt as our technology has changed over the years which allow us to produce a much lighter quilt while using a similar amount of wool fill.

hi, i just want ask what is the different between the Thermal Wool Quilt and Luxus Wool Quilt?
Hi Becky, The Thermal Wool Quilt is from our new Airlight Technology range, it is our warmest winter weight quilt. The Luxus Wool Quilt is from our old range which is similar to the Warm Wool Quilt in the Airlight Technology range. It is also a winter weight quilt, and one of our most popular winter weight quilts.
The Thermal Wool Quilt has 500gsm wool and the Luxus Wool Quilt has 475gsm, making the Thermal Wool Quilt a warmer quilt. The Thermal Wool Quilt is ideal for people who live in very cold climates or are cold sleepers.

Hi, I'll be moving to rural NSW where it goes down to about -4.5 at night in winter, would this be too warm? Or should I be looking at the gold model.
Hi, It is hard to suggest a quilt just on this one question as everyone sleeps different. Before purchasing your new quilt please consider these questions. - Is your quilt for Winter, Summer or All-Year Round?
- Is your home cold or does it have good insulation?
- Are you a cold or hot sleeper?
The Essence quilt is our warmest and most luxurious quilt for Winter warmth, I would recommend this quilt or our new Thermal quilt if you are only planning on using it during Winter (as you may find it too warm during the Summer) and if you are a cold sleeper or your bedroom environment is cold.

Our gold series (Luxus, Sensuality) is also a Winter warmth quilt but has slightly less wool compared to the Essence and Thermal. I would recommend this quilt if you are a hot sleeper or your home is well insulated.
