Y5, terrible phone, freezes and has fits – Had the Y5 for two years now, constantly freezes and randomly displays various screens as is it is throwing a fit. Don't waste your money. Show details
Hopeless Mintt Phone – I procure the Mintt Phone in 2021 while in PNG. From day 1 it started troubling. Battery would not get charged as the power inlet was damaged (factory fault). As it could not be repaired in Australia, I have to send it to PNG. Repaired twice but the problem still there. I will never encourage anyone to buy this product Shame for Mintt Show details
Had my MiNTT for two years – Had my MiNTT for two years connected with Aldi mobile and have had no Issues works well is well made
JUNK JUNK JUNK – DONT BUY THIS JUNK.... Thought I was buying an "Australian" phone. Is a cheap chinese knock off and a piece of junk! Service is non existent. Don't even think about buying this crap Show details
Not Aussie Made !!! – I was looking forward to buying an Australian made phone and Mintts advertising states that they are 100% Australian. 1 star because I had to. Lies lies and more lies. The garbage is made in china. No-one in their right mind would buy this rubbish. Boycott China Show details
Good for short term use, useless for long term use – Phone arrived a little late, but that was to be expected. The Y3 was good for the first few months, but after about a year the issues started. Screen would stop responding to any inputs. Phone would begin to overheat, even when placed in a cold room, with no apps running. Battery life would vary, sometimes you could go days without charge, or you… Read more
might need to charge it several times a day even on minimal use. Apps would randomly open and close without any input. Screen would input randomly, but more often than not, would activate homescreen button. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND OR PURCHASE ANOTHER PHONE.
It took nearly 2 months for my phone to be repaired due to the nightmare that is customer service. The charging port was so poorly constructed that after several months, charging cables wouldn't sit in the port, thus stopping charging.
Side note: it's taken me several attempts to even write this review.
Don't Buy One – In the last few years I've had a few phones in the same price range and type as my Mintt Y5, including Oppo and Huawai. The Mintt has been by far the worst. It started off OK but in the three months I've had this phone, it's performance has deteriorated in all areas of its operation. To start with the camera, which has good specs, was brilliant,… Read more
but now has become so glitchy that at times it's unusable.
And now the operation of the rest of the phone has followed suit. It freezes regularly, not responding to any input and sometimes I can't even restart it to clear the problem.
It is said that you get what you pay for but in this case it's simply not true. I paid $399 for this phone and I totally wasted my money. In my opinion stay clear of this brand and don't be fooled by the "Australian Company" hype either.
Not worth a cent – Last year, during lockdown, I purchased CoolMintt DUO3 online as my beloved Samsung I had for 4 years was at the end of its life and I needed more memory. At the time, this phone was one of the smallest I could find (I need something to fit in my pocket). Big regret. Within 2 months the front camera became so dusty (and obviously can't be cleaned)… Read more
that it's unusable, the rear camera doesn't even capture the true colours of the subject and phone calls drop unexpectedly. Also, while listening to Whatsapp voice messages, the screen goes black and you cannot do anything else except restarting the phone. Cheap Chinese product sold as Australian. Stay away from it.
Very glitchy – I bought the top of the range model but wasn't expecting much for a sub $500 phone, I just wasn't expecting one so bad. It somehow shows the right AND wrong time at the same time and can not be changed. The time zone can be changed but that doesn't change the time on the clock face. Also if you want to install more than about 5 apps on your phone… Read more
don't bother with these as the phone just won't work. I just use it for basic things not even games etc. Save your money.
I can’t get good service – This firm sell Mobile phones. I was considering one of their models and asked if it had volume control . The response was that if the volume control on the phone was not adequate that third party apps were available. This response while factual was not helpful. In additional other questions I asked were not answered. Hardly the sort of service one would expect in a competitive market
