Not recommended. Expensive, only suitable for light rubbish. Avoid for anything heavy – Lockable skips and free pick up / delivery (even though you’re able to tow the skips yourself) are good perks. cancel the order and book direct with Mobile Skips for $530 instead - already pretty pricey.
Then came the overweight issue (my load apparently came in at 800kg over the limit), which ended up costing me another $300 - the "cheapest" solution according to the manager. It was also nearly a week after pick up before I was advised of the additional cost - this was 3-4 days after I'd been sent messages saying my waste had been "disposed of responsibly" (messages which led me to believe everything had been dealt with and resolved).
All up nearly $850 to dispose of 1800kg of timber, rubble and soil!
When booking, the only available options are 500kg (medium) and 1000kg (heavy), but you’re given a 4 cubic metre skip no matter what option you pick. A 4 cubic metre skip holds a lot more than 1000kg (as I've now learned the hard way), so it’s incredibly easy to exceed your weight capacity without knowing it. 500kg and 1000kg really ought to be labelled "light" and "medium", not medium and heavy.
You can find estimates of what you can put in a 1000kg skip on the Mobile Skips website, but this info isn't at all obvious when booking via Bunnings (if Mobile Skips are going to partner with organisations, they need to ensure their messaging is consistent). I also had conversations with two people from Mobile Skips during booking and drop off, and neither brought this issue up as something to be cautious of.
I'd be extremely cautious about ever using Mobile Skips again. Cost me nearly 3 times what it would've with an open skip.

accumulation of old hardware and handyman "stuff" in the garage, to a huge accumulation of old unused household goods ranging from old clothes to books, VHS tapes, bits and pieces of miscellaneous computer gear, and other "stuff" that seems to accumulate over the years at the bottom or back of cupboards, under stairs etc.
I ordered a 1-tonne mobile skip for delivery on a nominated date. It was duly delivered on time, and parked where I wanted it. While they can be parked out on the street (includes a locking mechanism so that neighbours cannot also dump their stuff in it), in our case it was possible to have the mobile skip parked right beside our front door which made for easier access, bearing in mind the innumerable trips we had to make to the skip with more and more of our accumulated "stuff".
A 4 cubic metre 1-tonne skip seemed more than adequate for our needs, yet we easily filled that skip over the two days we had it, and we will probably need to go another round with maybe a half-tonne skip around the time we actually move house to dispose of any leftover "stuff".
We are very happy with the delivery and pickup service provided, and will probably use it again at the time of our move. Thoroughly recommended.
Postscript: We did use Mobiie Skips a second time over the weekend of our house move, to handle the final cleanout of our departing house. Delivered on time, in fact delivery was delayed by 12 hours at short notice, at my request due to last minute house moving delays. Very happy with this second service, as with the first.

The skip was delivered and picked up on time. The delivery driver was very helpful and efficient. I have used this service before and will use it again. The skips are a great size and can be squeezed into a parking bay or driveway without the hassle of typical skips that take up so much space and disrupt the whole street. credit card. An hour later I get a text from this franchise owner saying oh your bun was very full I had to charge you more. I never authorised it, there was no line on the bin saying where to fill to and in fact I was never told by the operator I could only fill it a certain amount. I text the franchise owner and he was so rude and the operator said he should have asked before charging my card. So many issues, they jelly my card on file without my authority, they never told me I could only fill a certain amount (very deceptive advertising as it was less expensive than other skips but they clearly do this knowing they will then charge you more!) and the owner was so rude. I asked them to refund my card as I never authorized this and got no reply. Do not use this company they are terrible.
Good Bin, Bad System – Innovative service but back end needs improving. Went to Bunnings to rent a bin. Only one staff member knew how to do the booking and then he had issues with mobile skips booking system. Took 50 minutes to pick up the bin, should just be in and out. The Bunnings person groaned when he heard what I asked for so clearly an ongoing sore point for front line staff
Best if you order a skip from an ethical reputable company – I ordered a skip. They delivered the skip and did not tell us to ignore the weight limit on the skip, so we did not get what we ordered. Then when they removed our skip they knocked down our fence. They did not deny they had knocked down our fence, but refused to pay to fix the fence.
