Don't Bother – First time buyer from ModCloth, bought a dress for a 70's themed birthday party. I live in Australia and therefore purchased the dress 3 weeks before the party and also paid over $40 AUD just for express shipping. I ordered the dress in early September, and it still hasn't arrived yet. So I paid over $100 for this dress, and since it didn't arrive in time (or rather at all), I had to then spend more money to buy another dress elsewhere. Emailed Modcloth in December and they told me to wait a little longer to lodge a lost parcel claim with them. I emailed them yesterday and received an email back stating they have lodged a refund, however, based on other reviews I've now seen online I'm not sure if I'll see that money to be honest. Wouldn't shop with them again.

Ripping off Australian customers – Conversion to AUD on ModCloth website is much higher than the actual exchange rate. For example, dresses that are 99 USD convert to 195 AUD. As per the current exchange rate, 99 USD = 155 AUD. Customer service rep confirmed I can't purchase an item in USD prices if it's being shipped to Australia and they will not adjust the exchange rate on their site. I have bought from Modcloth in the past in USD so I'm disappointed this has changed. Clothes are cute but I'm not paying $195 for a poly blend dress made in China. Check measurements carefully as sizes run small and most don't have any stretch.

Great range of products and sizes but service and shipping is terrible – I was very excited to from ModCloth for the first time. They have such a great range of fun and quirky clothes. I ordered a dress for a particular event, I ensured allowed several days extra on the stated shipping times on there website for priority mail to Australia. Unfortunately according to their tracking my item was ready for collection for 10 days (the total that there website stated for shipping) which is stated as "About 6-10 business days to Australia". It has now been 24 days and I have still received my item.

Customer service also took several days to respond to my request, you also need to have a gmail account to be able to contact them from outside the US.

Very unpleasant experience. I will be returning the item and encouraging my friends to shop elsewhere where shipping and service is much more reliable.
