Devastated… a lot of people dread Mondays and this Monday product, people need to dread to – I started using Monday shampoo and conditioner, I was in Love with the smell and the way it made my hair feel, after 6 months of using it, I wondered why my hair was falling out in clumps in the shower and on my brush. I was freaking out, I thought maybe stress or because I dyed my hair often, but I have always dyed my hair and never had these results.
My hair is really thin now, it kept breaking at the the ends and all these tiny bits of broken hair was falling all over me during the day. It wasn’t until my 9 year old was watching TikTok and she came and told me that the shampoo and conditioner that we are using we need to stop, she said “its so bad for our hair mum it’s got the worst reviews and a lot of people are saying it makes your hair fall out, that explains why I’m losing so much hair we need better shampoo and conditioner now, so we can fix it. And it explains why your hair is getting shorter without hair cuts” I had a think about this and I was devastated as now it’s going to cost a lot more to fix my hair (thank goodness my daughters only been using it for a month as her hair is amazing) that I’m even contemplating hair extensions as I hate it being the length it is. I almost had hair half way down my back which took like 6 years to grow to now it just being past my shoulders with this long bit in the middle and shorter around the sides like a layered affect. I should go to the hair dressers and get it fixed but I’m worried they’ll cut it shorter to help fix it and it will end up below my ears. Bleaching my hair hadn’t even caused this much damage, but I tend to only do that maybe once a year if that.
It was really scary to see. I’m using Bondi boost now to try and fix it but I was scared about some of their reviews and I’ve only been using it for two weeks so no results yet, but at least my hair isn’t falling out in clumps anymore. I’m so disheartened that I was even telling my psychologist about it.
My hair has always been something that I liked about me and it was pretty much the only thing I liked about me, this has destroyed my self esteem which I was only just getting back after 23 years of DV from my ex. And I am 38 this year. Cost me $20 per bottle for shampoo and conditioner the and I purchased it from Coles. And in the photos that’s not from a haircut if it was it would be a lot nicer looking then what it is.

10yr old hair loss! Devistated – My child wanted to try an 'expensive preppy' shampoo after seeing tiktokers use it. I gave in. This was maybe 6 months ago. These last few weeks her hair is falling out rapidly and thinning. We are in process of blood work and skin drs. Until i read the reviews, i thought maybe it was hormonal or her diet. But she has a great diet. Ive been so worried. She scared shes going to be bald! And yes there should be a class action lawsuit created like another MONDAY user has mentioned previously. DO NOT USE THIS PRODUCT IF YOU WANT HAIR.

Hair loss! Do not recommend – I wish I had looked at reviews before I bought this. I already have fine hair so to lose more is just upsetting and really unacceptable. I’ve never in my life had so much hair loss from a shampoo. Unfortunately took me a while to realise it was the shampoo. Had blood works done as thought I had a health concern, all came back fine. So then I googled this product and realised I’m not the only one. Makes me wonder what’s in this product to cause so much hair loss. Do not recommend and will definitely tell other people to avoid!!

I've always struggled to find products that are affordable and don't irritate my scalp and the Gentle range has worked wonders on my hair. Our team includes hair technicians and chemical engineers who not only work to those standards and guidelines, but are constantly monitoring the beauty landscape for product developments and innovations. But that doesn’t necessarily mean that individuals won’t have individual experiences or reactions.
Of course, you know yourself and your hair, so if you’re concerned we’d recommend you stop using MONDAY and revert back to your original shampoo/conditioner. That said, we wanted to highlight that hair fall is a natural occurrence during the Telogen phase of the hair growth cycle, and it could be that your use of MONDAY has coincided with this. It could also be that typically when we start to use a new product, we’re more conscious of any adverse effects (like hair fall) – and naturally when we’re looking out for something, we’re bound to notice it more. Hair fall can also occur due to stress, hormonal and lifestyle changes, and the use of certain medication.
If you’re certain none of those factors could be at play, we’d recommend talking to your healthcare professional as it might be that you have an intolerance or allergy to an ingredient in our products or another product you’re using. We want to assure you that many of the ingredients found in MONDAY are industry standard, and used across common salon brands - but that also means there’s a chance you could have issues in future with other similar products.
