should have walked out then but I persevered because I'd already spent over an hour there. The suit finally arrived was only ok at best - it didn't feel like a tailored suit - it felt a bit cheap. I wanted to order an additional pair of pants as a spare pair but was told they would cost over $700! The "reasoning" was that it was "half the value of the suit"! What a joke! I've gotten suits made from a proper tailor before and the cost for an additional pair of pants was only incremental. Montagio's lack of customer service älso showed when I returned one of the shirts because it got damaged from the suspenders that i was wearing after just the first use. [Name Removed] knew that I would be wearing suspenders with this shirt and chose the fabric accordingly so from my point of view the material wasn't fit for service. I was expecting Montagio to offer to replace the shirt or refund the price of it so as to keep a customer - no chance! [Name Removed] kept me waiting for weeks "as he showed the damaged shirt and "checked with management" on what could be done. For goodness sake you're the store manager - replace the shirt or give a credit! Instead of providing decent customer service and doing the right thing Montagio told me that they couldn't offer me anything but to dryclean the shirt! They should have done anyway! Obviously, like a used car salesman they don't want to see you again - happy to take a good wack of your money once! I can't believe company's still do this. Early in the process I was requested by [Name Removed] to leave a review for Montagio - I've given it the urgency it deserved. I am sorry though for the other people that were swindled by these sharks. I will be going to David Jones for custom made suits in the future.

So much added stress the week of our wedding. Do not recommend – We had an awful experience with montagio in Brisbane for our wedding. We originally visited in December to get a suit for our wedding in March. After spending an hour then thinking we had picked all of our selections we were told to come back in January. written down the first time and then were told our suit would be made and we would be contacted when it was ready for pickup. One week before our wedding the suit finally arrived but the pants were the wrong colour. We then had to come back a fourth time to pick up our suit from the dry cleaners and it wasn’t there. So on the fifth time when we finally got the suit, the day we were travelling to our wedding venue and only 3 days before our wedding, the shirt had a stain and the buttons ended up falling off the suit jacket. I would not recommend this company to anyone and would give 0 stars if I could. We had the most stressful week before our wedding due to this when we could have had the suit sorted months in advance.

good overall – Natalia was lovely as she took the measurements perfectly and the suit fit perfectly as well. However, when the suit arrived , it had a fake button hole and no coin pocket even if the receipt stated clearly that I should have a real button hole and a coin pocket. Not worth the stress – Absolutely atrocious customer service from their Brisbane staff, we should have known when we had to follow up to even go in to get measurements done not to bother. Customer service lacking – Took too long to get suits and lacked service and accountability to overall promised outcomes...won’t be rushing back there, as seems focus on customer satisfaction isn’t a priority.

Suit arrived crumpled in an express post bag!!!! – My 22 year old son very recently bought a made-to-measure suit from Montagio. no wrapping whatsoever! It looked like a cheap, synthetic, mass produced, crumpled suit from China! Certainly not worth the $1250+ my son paid for it!

Montagio obviously take no pride in their product. This situation is totally unacceptable! I contacted the store on my son's behalf and spoke with the store manager (Fred) who was somewhat apologetic but also rather defensive. He blamed Australia Post! Sorry Fred - not buying that one!

You and your staff need to familiarise yourselves with your very own motto as found on your very own website under "pricing" - it reads (and I quote verbatim).... "Most other tailors will simply post your garments to you crumpled in the mail. At Montagio we prefer to offer you the full end-to-end service". Hmm, pity the staff haven't read this!

Yet my son's hard saved for suit arrived just like that - crumpled in the mail! Certainly not worth the money he paid for it.

And what exactly is the meaning of your "full end-to-end service"? We didn't receive any such thing.... Perhaps you can elaborate?

Further, I suggest you take a long, hard look at how Institchu (rival tailor) post their suits. My older son (24 years old) is a very happy, loyal Institchu customer and now I know why. Not only does he get a great suit at a great price, but the suit arrives in a lovely, sturdy box via registered post. The suit is carefully and securely wrapped in tissue paper before being placed into the box. There was even a "thank you" card and free dry cleaning voucher included! I mentioned this great delivery and after-sales service to Fred and all he had to say was that Institchu "have a different business model" to Montagio?!! What??!! In this case, 'different' means BETTER, in my and my son's opinion.

I was going to take this matter further, but my son doesn't want to and I have to respect his wishes. But boy am I hopping mad and very unimpressed with Montagio. My son worked and saved hard to buy this suit only to get treated like this.

Montagio, did you think that because my son is young that he can be easily fooled and fobbed off? Unlike your more astute (demanding) customers?? I really don't know what to think anymore.......

Montagio placated my son by offering him a complimentary "pocket square" (this is basically a hanky!!) Wow! How generous of you Montagio! You could and should have done better! Maybe you can still redeem yourselves, but after this review, you probably won't. This review is honest, factual and 100% accurate.

No more suits from Montagio for our family ever again and I wouldn't recommend Montagio to anyone else either. Appalling service!! Total indifference, lack of care and respect was shown to my son on this occasion.

This is just not good enough Montagio!

Great service – Definitely recommend, they have a friendly group of staff. A large selection of suits to choose from. They have a fast track option which is great, suit arrived 2 days earlier than expected

An awesome, affordable tailor made suit – I wanted a great new suit for a mates wedding, and Montagio delivered beyond expectations in terms of quality & value for money.

Review – Not bad prices. Could do a lot better with their range of 2x suits for $1,000. They only had blacks and greys- strange. their shop when I first walked in. It's strange that they have a bar in there, but never offer a drink? Getting add ons to the suit was a strange experience. Everything cost extra. Every minor detail. Again, very strange. If you're buying suits for $1,000 this should be included in the custom design as Black Label and other companies do. I think the shop could do with some music also. Felt like they were closing down or didn't want another sale. I probably wont recommend anyone to their shop based on my experience.

I got so many compliments today on my new suit from Montagio – I bought a grey tailored suit, with an extra pair of pants, three tailored shirts, three ties and cufflinks. Based on some clever recommendations from the Montagio team, I can use the various combinations of the shirts and ties to make eight different ‘looks’. The buying process was really great. The consultant enquired about my style, what I was looking for and what I had already and they worked all those things in together. There were lots of fabrics to choose from. They have lots of customisations too (eg: hand stitching on the jacket lapels).

The wait time between measure up and pick up was quite reasonable (maybe 5-6 weeks including Christmas).

Overall, I’m really happy with the service and quality of Montagio and would highly recommend it.
