is still flat. Honestly, for the money you spend. Better off getting kids a phone or a Samsung watch. their support is also useless, I had to repeat myself over and over talking to 5 different people overseas. All they do is apologise but solve NOTHING.

Absolutely the best one yet – Can’t recommend this highly enough. Bought my daughter the previous one and that was great but the new model is so much better. A wonderful product – Zainab has been wonderful. Customer service can't be faulted. Excellent product. would do it.. Of course, nothing is a problem. Now both my sons can have one and his twin brother doesn't feel left out. My one wish for future development would possibly be an earphone jack or something because I have found that I can hear his messages but he can't hear mine that well - that being said he's usually around noisy kids :) I actually love that it has no games and you can't download apps etc because all we need is communication - not entertainment. Love it can't recommend it highly enough and have recommended on various Facebook groups I am a member in for people who would benefit from it.

Extremely Disappointed! hours to activate. 24 hours later, the watch was still displaying "Failed to connect to the network..."

The watch came with a pre-installed Vodafone Sim, despite us selecting the option for an OPTUS Sim at checkout.

We're not certain if it is the Vodafone sim that is causing the connection problems, but we are in Regional Vic and our Mobile phones are connected through the OPTUS network without issue which is why we selected that option.

As mentioned by other reviewers, there is absolutely NO phone support for this product

The delayed (and date/time-stamped) email replies also highly leads me to believe that their online support team are off-shore despite them claiming to be in Australia

We have received 1 reply from Moochies suggesting a restart and a system update, which we performed as instructed. This unfortunately did not resolve the issue and well-over 24 hours later we are still awaiting a response to our reply email for any further assistance.

At the rate of 1 reply email every couple of days (oh and they state they only operate between 0900- 1700 & do not operate on weekends) it looks as though our 10 year old still won't be able to use her Santa gift for some weeks/months...?

For something that is marketed to be a peace-of-mind product, it has certainly brought us anything but; and has so far proven to be nothing more than a complete waste of our time & money.

4. After setting up my wife’s phone through the app I have lost all of my settings on my phone.

5. The quality of the sound on the watch when receiving a call is much poorer than the old watch.

6. The new app that supports the watch is not intuitive and frankly does not work properly.

7. Still waiting for a reply from an email sent to [name removed] yesterday.

Terrible customer service – I have emailed the company over and over again, my daughter watch will only call, won't send messages to my smart phone app. It's an endless task contacting moochies, no customer service adviser to speak to , someone emails me back every 4 days with useless advise. February 18th 2018 Update: Does not work

This is our second watch, we originally had a pink version with out the camera bought in October 2017. The watch began having issues in January with the notifications not working. I contacted moochies, I did have exceptionally bad customer services on the website, just kept getting a message saying they would reply in 36 hours and they hardly replied. I ended up facebook messaging and [name removed] the owner of the company responded and did everything to repair the customer service issues, I have to say, he was fantastic.

[name removed] did send us a new watch, the updated version with camera, he also sent anot extra free strap in pink for the issues. I have to say, this watch was worse than the first. Both straps, the black that came with the watch and the pink simply never stayed attached to the watch, the metal pins would not work. The pink strap pins would not stay on at all, so the pink strap could not be used. The other issues were, we could not here the diction in our daughter's voice over the watch, she had my phone and I took the watch, I simply could not understand a word she was saying, it was echoey and noisy and impossible to understand. My daughter also said the fitness part did not work either, although I did not look.

I really would be wary of getting one of these watches again, I think I will give my daughter her phone back. I loved the concept but it just doesn't not work.

As I say, I had very bad customer service for weeks, I them managed to very angrily message facebook and the owner contacted me.

I did get very frustrated that it was an Internet on communication company, I felt having a mobile number could have worked.

What I did do was Google map the address that I was sent for returns, from the photos I was very surprised, the building's looked to me like residential flats in not so nice areas, it was a bit strange.

I concluded that the company employed people to operate the email systems and I guessed they worked from home. I also guessed that the inventors probably have this business as a sideline and work themselves and jobs. So this could be why they can't constantly respond. They are at work themselves and then just getting people to answer messages.

I would not recommend this, I would stick with a mobile phone.

Moochies watch and service – Angel provided Excellent service, providing information and addressing any concerns in a promptly and professional manner. The Moochie Watch is worth every dollar especially for piece of mind. service. Anyway I managed to get a 3G watch, call me a glutton for punishment (no one bans me from things, suckers). It is still actually going strong six months later. I am shocked and pleased. Charger broke but I use a normal android lead to plug into the weird thing that the watch sits in and it’s all good. so check your lead if it stops charging instead of buying a new one from them. All up the watch is great, I still think the customer service sucks so buyer beware. I would probably stick with a different brand to be honest only caved in for my daughter's sake

It’s perfect – Can’t fault the product my daughter loves the freedom it gives her and the peace of mind it gives me. The unlocked version was the best choice as not locked to a network. Doesn’t work – Purchased the unlocked version. Couldn’t get it to work with 3 different pre-activated SIM‘s. App didn’t work either obviously. Wasted hours and hours trying to get it working. This product is misleading. Its misrepresented on the website - because it cant be used as a child safety device.

The idea is really good - but Moochies just doesn't work.

Consumer Affairs should investigate.

Doesn't Work, not 3G - total con! – This watch is rubbish and doesn't work at all like the website. Doesn't work at all outside metro area (i.e. It's not 3G), location tracking is inaccurate, call quality terrible. The build quality is so poor - buckle broke off after 2 weeks. It's rubbish – The watch charger doesn't work so the watch is useless. Purchased for my daughters birthday this month and she used it for one weekend. Have emailed the company twice marked "urgent" and still no response since September 20. Disgusted to say the least!!! Perfect – Purchased Kiss locked moochie for my 7 year old son. Initially had problems with watch failing to recognise Sim card so contacted Moochie team who promptly exchanged watch. New watch works perfectly. Kiss mobile has also provided exceptional service, extremely helpful and prompt response when dealing with them. It broke down way too soon – I bought 2 earlier version of this watch and they but the both stopped working within months. One watch they replaced but took months to do so. The second one eventually had the same problem of not charging. The GPS location was never accurate. The new version is doing better but time will tell if it will last. The battery life is very short. Have to charge every day and if you miss a day it is useless.  Show details

Awesome product – Totally love this watch. Easy to set up, customer service were really helpful. The watch itself is easy to use and the kids love them. Perfect for special need ones – Recently bought this watch for our special needs daughter, as she sometimes wanders off. Amazed by its features. Really been making a great use of the calling and texting features as I always need to be in touch with my little one. Took me a bit of time to get used on how to use the app, but I'm an expert now after a few explanations from the company. Really impressed – Bought this for a friend and one for a cousin. Really impressed with the watch's quality and features. My best friend recently got divorced and wanted something to keep in touch with her daughter while she spends the weekend at her father's place, so she can always be in touch with her little one. Good features – Very surprised with the bad reviews. I think those people are not tech savvy. Choose English instructions. It's not that hard. Once set up it works well. I track my twins with 2 profiles on the same app and it works well. Call features work fine. Message features work fine too. The kids can only voice message but that's ok. sent numerous emails to Moochies since the day it arrived not once have they returned an email, there's no contact number nothing!!! I have officially been ripped off over $180 !!

Not as great as they make it out to be – I have waited almost a year for the new 3G watches - pre ordered in march 2017 for May delivery but they had two delays. Thats all fine, things happen. The call volume is great and clear and i like the SOS feature.... thats about it!

Bad points: I paid $170 for this watch as i wanted to use my own sim card. Watch takes a long time to search for sim then search again for network. (I have tried this sim in other phones without any issues). The time is wrong and theres no way of changing it! The text message option doesnt allow the child to send a text unless they have already received one to reply to and they cant type letters, they only have a speech option. This isnt a huge deal however their instructions state they can type letters. The activity tracker is basically useless and the screen closes when i try to enter in a new number! And Now... theres the main reason for buying the watch - the GPS tracker- this is on the app that you download (which was actually quite easy to set up). it occasionally works and tells you the last location however, no map is shown. Theres just a blank screen. I tried to set up an alert area but cant manually write in an address as i have to select it on the map...but i cant see a map!!!! I had to randomly press around on the screen until i blindly selected a location close to home that i could use. I emailed them and sent a FB message but no reply. In fact, i noticed they have stopped posting on FB and have deleted all previous public posts which i found odd!

I have contacted telstra who assure me there is no issue with the service. All our phones and internet are with telstra and never have any problems. So why is this watch constantly losing service?

Oh, and all the settings are written in Chinese!!! How on earth can we fix anything when we cant read it?

I love the concept of the watch and do hope the company step up and fix these issues, but feel it was a waste of money. The app needs alot of work and for the cost, there just isnt enough features and the ones they do have dont work properly. If it did actually work with maps being available i would rate it 7/10 but at the moment, its a 3/10 and i will be asking for a refund. That is.... if they answer my messages!!!!

it is ok, but not the best – it is for the kids, so don't set high expectation on this, but it is an okay watch. Works as it intends, and quite tough. the kids. Designs were nice. I'm paying $10 a month for the Kiss mobile plan, which is not too bad. Signal coverage has been fine and call quality as good as a mobile. I agree with another reviewer about having to charge it every night, but that's no dramas as I do that with our mobiles anyway. I can't fault this product and will definitely be getting their next model if it has the same safety features in it.

Great for what I wanted it for – not sure about some of the reviews here but i've been using this watch for my kid for a good 2 years now and have not had any issues. the one AND only problem i had was forgetting to charge the watch. i'm able to keep an eye on my kid when out on excursion and such...get random calls from my kid just for fun and the calls are clear. not sure if it's just QA checks of each watch or just users not reading the instructions.

Worth upgrading to 3G device – I bought 4 of these for my kids and their cousins on the 2G device that was sold at Christmas. GPS was ok, didn't work great in buildings, but was spot on in metro areas and outside generally. Was told by Vodafone that 2G is being turned off in September, so contacted Moochies to see what could be done and they offered me a pretty good deal to change them all for a 3G watch in May. The 3G one looks way better so pretty happy about that.

Need to charge battery like you do a mobile ! – Moochies watch is good for kids less than 12 years old, no good for older ones - my daughter who's 9 loves it, but my son who's 14 defo wouldn't find cool. Only problem is that it needs charging every night so it's not like a normal watch more like a mobile. But no dramas really as just put it on charge when she goes to bed.

Good product – My son is really enjoying his watch. We bought the black design with graffiti style writing, he's into skateboarding so this was ideal.. Bought it in February for his birthday and he won't take it off. Loves talking to his Dad on it who works out in PNG. I recommend this to all parents. Might be an idea for Moochies to have more designs, as not all designs suit all kids, plain designs would be good too.

Cute idea – Pretty cute watch, daughter loves wearing. GPS can be hit and miss, but calls work good. Be interested in some more designs that will be better for older kids as I know we'll want one as she gets older.

Great idea and cute to boot ! – I bought a pink Moochies watch for my daughter, with cute butterfly designs on it. It's a really tidy product. We use it mainly for when she's away at sleepovers etc, as it's easy to call her and check she's ok without being an OTT mum calling the parents house. I don't use the GPS function on it, as I always know where she is, but it seems a cool feature for the over anxious. Overall really happy with it.

Very handy – Bought a Moochies for my 2 kids for Christmas. Pretty easy to set up and works well. Good quality phone call sound. Gps is pretty accurate outside, not so well indoors, probably due to the walls I guess. Overall it was a good buy and the kids love it.
