leave the soaked cotton balls where the ants are most active. They will eat the infested sugar, and will spread the poisoned food throughout the colony. Within 48 hours the ants will all be dead. Borax is safe for animals and humans, but deadly to ants.

Only product that works – Best product i can find that kills the nest and that doesn't cost an arm and a leg! I remove what ever it is that the ants are eating and put one of these directly in their path, the ants are gone the next day. Haven't tried the water thing but will. Excellent, as others have said add a drop of water to activate – The only product I have found that actually works on ants in our kitchen here in the Northern Territory. two or three days and the ants are almost all gone, then after a week no sign of any ants. Great product! lasts for months.

Product does not work – Ants totally ignore baits I thought I might have been unlucky and purchased another lot however these baits had no attractions for ants.I also purchased Mortein indoor/ outdoor spray and you have guessed it this product failed as well. Conclusion do not buy their products.

Works (?) if you add some drops of water each day – In my previous years of experience of using these things, I'd agree with other posters that they are completely useless: the ants just ignore them. Since I've been adding a few drops of water each night (or very quick rinse under a tap), they seem much more effective. Since I started that, the ants that plagued my desk for months have gone. But that may just be a coincidence, so no guarantees.

Something That Works At Last – I love this product. Have used them in 2 bathrooms, laundry and kitchen and the ants just love it and die. One time I put a drop of honey when they seemed to walk around the one in the laundry and wow - it worked. Even though it is about 2 months since I used them there are still dead ants dropping onto the laundry and bathroom benches.

Just add a few drops of water to "activate" - works great!!! – That's the key, I've found, a couple of drops of water on both lots of attractant and BAM! Ants love it. It took about 10 hours till the queen had died and the nest was no more. THIS STUFF WORKS!!!!

Utterly Useless – Tried 2 baits at two different locations. Ants simply BYPASS it on their trail. No dead ants! Tried on small black ants. Waited for more than 2 months and still no improvement. Completely useless. Waste of money.

Cat likes it but ants no – After a month ants got worse in my kitchen and never went near the trap. I will never touch any Mortein product again, complete waste of money and time but at least my cat likes them.

Utterly useless!! I have bought my last baits from you Mr Mortein – Only one ant in a million will have a nibble at it. If you put it on the middle of a black stream of thousands of ants they will do anything to avoid going on it and eating it.. Different types of ants treat it the same.. over,. Eg honey or meat or whatever, and mixed it with the bait food with no result - they still refuse to eat it.. If you are trying to attract something the bait has to be at least a bit nice in their mind.. I have tried for quite some years with many different sorts of ants and it has all been just a waste of money .. Dump the rubbish you have been dishing out Mr Mortein, get your chemists out into the real world of ants and start again with a decent product.

Xmas dinner is served – First time I've ever used bait. Pavement ants ruining my outdoors. Mortein bait down and ants are loving it. Hopefully the queen goes quickly.

This product has not worked for me – I have found the ants simply bypass the baits and have no interest in them at all. I have tried 3 baits in two locations and have no success at all.

Waste of money – Ineffective. Waste of money. Does not work as stated. Ants don't go anywhere near the bait. Placed the bait as instructed in two different ant trails (2 different types of ants). Mortein nest kill ant baits – I have tried this product over the last 2 years in my caravan and at my home. never have i seen ants feeding at the bait stations. i have laid the baits on trails and ants don't seem to be interested in feeding from them. try another product. don't waste your money This product doesn't do what is claimed on the packaging.
