Had Protektiv applied to my 3 year old Isuzu MUX when purchased in as new condition. After 5 years, the bonnet has faded oxidized patches. Submitted a warranty claim under advertised lifetime cover and was rejected stating fading was caused by delamination due to lifting of the original clear coat. This decision was based on a photograph supplied… Read more

and not an actual inspection.Thought one of the stated benefits of this product was the prevention of fading and oxidation. Regretfully I have treated another new car recently with this product but I won’t be making the same mistake three times As the lifetime cover does not transfer if you sell your vehicle it does not add any real value to your vehicle. Not really relevant anyway as the warranty is not worth the paper it is written on. Do not recommend this company or product.

If you want to use the best protective products for your car you definitely need to use Motor One products as I have found it to be the best in results and in service. Darren really knows his product and provides the best service.

Waste of Money – Coating does not last and the warranty is worthless. Company does a great job on the marketing. Spend your money on a real paint protection or a wax from your local store as it will provide far better results. Clear coat peeling caused by UV breakdown is not covered under warranty although their product states. "PROTEKTIV surface coating is… Read more

formulated using graphene, an extremely pure material, thanks to its simple structure based on tight, consistent, atomic bonding. PROTEKTIV delivers exceptional levels of hardness which translates to increased resistance to the elements and UV stability offering greater defence against fading and oxidation of clear and base coats. This newly formulated surface coating bonds deeper into the vehicle’s paintwork, is noticeably smoother to the touch and optically brighter. Backed by a limited lifetime warranty.*

Not worth it and steer clear.

Expensive, doesn't last, and poor service – I had Protektiv applied to my new Isuzu Mux four years ago. The car is always parked in the open - and I highlighted this when talking with the sales people. After two years, I noticed some patchiness on the bonnet and roof. After four years it became serious - grey spots and patches over most of the horizontal surfaces - bonnet, roof, and… Read more

window sills. I contacted MotorOne, and they sent me to have the car inspected by their "contractor". The contractor spent very little time and effort on the inspection (3 or 4 minutes). He was more concerned that the car was dirty, than that the surface coating was breaking down. He spent very little time looking at the patchy areas.

My claim was refused because of "lack of maintenance". They referred me to some general cover-all paragraphs in the guarantee. In a follow up response, they made further general statements and said that it was "rare to see vehicles with [this] surface condition". Rarity is not a reason to reject a claim.

I have since spoken with a more reputable "contractor". He indicated that these coatings typically last 2 to 5 years (so much for the "Lifetime Warranty"!). They made several suggestion about cause - I am inclined to say that it is sun damage - because of the location of the marks. I have now had the car polished (which removed the coating) and everything looks excellent - just like new. I am not interested in following up with MotorOne. They are not a reputable company.

I cannot recommend Protektiv coatings - spend your money on a regular car wash. They are too expensive, they don't last long, and they are not well supported by MotorOne.

Window tint installation very poor and complaint process just as bad! – I purchased a new vehicle on the 22nd of May 2020 from Tynan motor group and paint protection and window tinting was arranged with motor one,and upon pick up from dealer I noticed a residue on two areas of vehicle and the tint on rear window having issues with excessive water marks. The dealer remarked that water marks would dry within a few days… Read more

Second Audi second paint treatment – Well in March of this year we traded our A5 Coupe in on a new A7 Sportback Black Edition and went with the same paint and leather treatment we had on our first Audi and it hasn't disappointed. Even when the car is dirty it looks shiny and clean but then when it is washed in the detergent supplied with the treatment kit the transformation is… Read more

astounding and the water and dirt just beads off for weeks or months (depending on the weather). A truly great treatment and it cost me exactly the same amount three years later. Great Stuff.

Cheers Chris
