Great phone! – Now I have tried Motorola I won't go back. Very user friendly and unlocked meaning no Network rubbish filling up your phones memory. Love the wrist twist to activate the camera, and the Karate chop the activate the flash light! The processor is fast too. For the price, this is an excellent smart phone. The only downside is getting a case from a phone shop is not an easy task. I had to get mine online.  Show details

Excellent phone – This phone is really all you ever need. It's taken some hammer and survived intact. I would never buy an iPhone after having one of these phones. Bought my daughter one too. The camera is excellent. The apps i have all work well on this phone. The clarity of the sound is great for those of you who still make actual phone calls out there! It will probably not be being made by the time i need to replace it.  Show details

Works well – Work well considering how much I've paid. Its not as fast as the latest samsung or iphone but it works well. The only thing is i find the casing a bit too easy to dent. Ive dropped it once and there a huge dent on the back rather than the usual scuffing or nick.  Show details

Worked for 14 days – It literally worked for 14 days. After that one day it powered off and never powered on again. Tried all options of hard reset, nothing worked. And Apparently this problem is so common when you google it. Whatever features does phone have doesn't matter anymore if you cant turn on the phone.  Show details

Terrible phone – My phone lost the imei no and moto wont upgrade from android 7 to 8.1 as of June 2018 Will never buy another Moto There are much better phones out there that have android 8 and will keep up with the software. I bought a Xiaomi mia1 has better specs better camera and it is a android one which means they keep up with the software. June 13th 2018… Read more

Update: Lost Imei no phone no good

Has Nougat 7 software Motorola wont upgrade it to Oreo it is now the middle of June and still no Oreo. The phone is much slower because of the old software. If Motorola was serious about their customers they would keep their software up to date. Their are cheaper phones that have better specs.

Great value for money! – A really nice phone for such an amazing price. The touch is a bit less responsive but ok for a teenagers use. Colors are nice and so is the sound quality/speakers. Wifi is great as well. Camera is ok. I am really happy with my purchase and would recommend to anyone looking for a value for money phone.  Show details

Great value, super reliable – I have owned this phone for 3 years, it has been fault free and meets all my needs. Incredible value, can't see why you'd dish out $$$ for a big brand. Will buy Moto again. Show details

A phone that punches way above its weight – The Moto G5S is exceptionally well specced for the price. I paid $299 a few years ago and it hasn't missed a beat. The phone does everything I need it to, but I don't need to worry about losing/dropping a high-priced premium handset. OS is smooth and not bloated with add ons. Runs every app I need and has a nice solid feel in the hand. … Read more

Battery life is great and it charges quickly. FHD display is also pretty slick at this price point and actually higher res than iPhone 8. I expected to be replacing this phone after 3 years, but that time has been and gone and I intend to keep the Moto as long as it continues to do everything I need. The camera is nothing special, but perfectly functional for the price. I also like the 'shake to turn on flashlight' function; it's great when you get home late and are fumbling around with the keys in the front door. I fail to understand how so many people can justify spending over $1000 when there are phones this good for a third of the price.

Best Budget Phone with little easily fixable issues, slippery body – G5 Plus with dual sim options, excellent fingerprint detector, touch sensor, longer battery life with fast charging, good camera in the price of $359 with a free 32GB sandisk Sd card had nothing to ask from it. But there were some software issue with camera(crashing for no reason), apps like messaging have no incoming sound message and screen… Read more

brightness was compromised but all solved by downloading apps from google play and after android 8.1 update. Using stock android with quick 8.1 update was magnificent. Now after fixing little issues this G5 Plus is just perfect for me and saved lots of money of my pocket.

A beautiful handset but very slippery back side, need to hold the phone carefully as the camera bump would get a crack like me if slips from the haad. The NFC is located at the front underneath the moto logo hard to find.

Great smartphone with competitively price – This is a competitively priced smartphone with full of functionalities. Instead of buying an expensive Android phone, e.g. Samsung Galaxy, I prefer to buy this one. One great value phone – This budget phone deliver the modern essential functions. Dual sim cards let me Put in two sim c@rds, one for work and one for data. Also a dedicate as card slot to expand the storage. However, sometimes it requires some internal storage to install some system apps. The camera focus function sometimes is slow or not able to focus.  Show details

one of the best nowadays – I recently update myself to this phone from his grandfather Moto G4 Plus. G5 plus is almost a carbon copy of G4 plus and although i was quite fascinated by moto g4, now a bit down with G5 as it has nothing new to offer. I strongly recommend this phone yet if you have G4 you better to stick to it.  Show details

Good but some wifi issues – Overall a good phone with some good features, the camera is good and OTA updates come quickly. The only issue is the wifi. The wifi keeps disconnecting all the time. This as been happening after the last OTA update. Not sure if motorola will look into this and rectify the issue. If they can do that its a great little phone. Its just annoying when the wifi keeps get disconnected all the time.  Show details

Great Value – After recently smashing my new HTC U11, I didn't want to break the bank when getting a new phone. I started researching good mid range androids and settled on the Moto G5s Plus. I'm about a week in and I am pleasantly surprised. It does lack a little in some areas such as performance and colour quality, but for under $400, i am not complaining. I will see how it fairs over the next year. Maybe flagship phones are overrated.  Show details

Best bang for your buck – Bought this phone to replace one I smashed last year. I managed to find a price under 300 bucks and at that price it is a brilliant phone. It will do 90% of what the top tier phones do. It runs the latest version of android, has a good camera and is quick to switch between apps. It feels like a premium phone but at a cheap price. Recommended.  Show details

Good value for money phone – I have been using this phone for a few months now. It's interface is pretty sleek and the phone has premium feel too due to its metal build even though it is at low price points, particularly in Asian markets. All Moto phones, including Moto G5 Plus, look sturdy and build to last.

I have absolutely no complains for the phone! I wish there was a 64GB version available though I could always use an SD card to extend the memory. This phone is available in different combinations of memory and RAM globally, so do some basic search for the variants before you decide to buy one. I like video and camera too. One can't go wrong with this phone. Good bang for the buck.

Best budget phone – I just bought this phone for my mum and it tickets all the boxes. It has a great battery life and decent processor that can handle most things that you can throw at it. Comes with almost stock Android experience with hardly any bloat. Unless you are a huge tech enthusiast, it can be hard justifying the price of flagship devices when phones like this exist.  Show details

Good Android Budget Phone – What I liked: - Big HD screen size ( Perfect for watching videos and playing games) - Battery Life is about 2 days for me. - Light Weight and comfortable to hold - Metallic Body which makes it look good. - Fast fingerprint sensor. Can unlock the phone quickly. What I didn't like - The camera is not good. The pictures shot look really pale and out of colors. Low light conditions make the pictures look grainy and lose details.  Show details

Great value phone with nice specs – Paid $300 for this a few months after it came out - it's been nothing short of amazing given its price bracket. Camera is decent (nothing to write home about but it does the job) and processor and graphics hold up well for the average consumer. I get two days battery with medium to heavy use and the slim android wrapper means it's close to stock - which means no bloatware. Definitely recommend!  Show details

One of the better budget phones – For the price, features and specifications.... This phone is hard to beat. Purchased at officeworks a few weeks ago for my grandma. So far she's loving it. the screen panel was fine too. I have a high end phone and didn't see much difference in them.

One thing however, there was no capacitive buttons on the bottom of the device near the finger print reader nor was the finger print reader able to be used as a home button which I found odd. Also, finding a case and screen protector was very difficult! None of the Asian shops had anything suitable. Keep this in mind, you will have to purchase a case online!

All in all, this is one of the best budget phones. I would happily recommend this phone to anyone.

Incredible value – Picked up this phone for under $300 and it continues to impress me. I bought before my daughter was born because I wanted a reliably good camera for the thousands of photos I'd inevity be taking and it has lived up to that. Motorola fan already but the ease in switching over and the lack of junk that comes preinstalled is such a bonus for me.

Battery life is decent, I do end up chewing through it most days but I'm a heavy user.

It's also pretty sleek looking! I got the gold purely because it was what was available but it looks great. Also total convert of the fingerprint sensor for getting into the phone quickly!

In short, this phone is an incredible powerhouse for the money. Would still be happy if I'd paid double for it, but at approx $300 you literally can't go wrong.

Great value and performance – Makes much more sense than a $1000 phone. Does everything you need, well built. looks good enough in a case. There's no bloatware at all compared to some makes (yes samsung). I watched for a good price for a while and got it from motorolas australian supplier (the moto store) not any kind of import. recommend it  Show details

I do find the reception is a little worse than any other phone. Wifi is weak too. Maybe i got a lemon. but i still can live with it.

Great phone for the price – The moto G5 plus is a great phone at a doable price. Around the 200 dollar mark gets you a fast, reliable phone, that has nfc and all the other bells and whistles. Only issue I've had is that the proximity sensor is a little slow to react which may do accidental screen presses when on a call, but this can be mitigated by turning off screen when on a call.  Show details
