Mutsy 4Rider

Good – After much research via product review, the babies and children's expo, testing prams at a variety of stores and speaking to friends we selected this pram because (a) it was one of the lightest on the market - easy for a small mum to get it in and out of the car repeatedly, (b) it had many features of expensive prams such as interchangeable seating options without the high price (e.g. bugaboo), (c) it was very easy to collapse and open and (d) it had a very modern sporty look. Overall we have been very happy. The only concern I have is about the wheel-lock release which can be a little inconsistent. - Interchangeable bassinet / seat options
- Fabric - good colour choices, modern looking, easy to clean
- Adjustable handle for different height parents is easy to use
- Very easy to collapse and open with one hand
- Very light to lift in and out of the car (with the multi-spoke wheels)
- Having a bassinet on wheels was extremely helpful in the first few months trying to get our Bub to sleep, and it also meant we had a mobile bed to take with us on outings.
- Safety harness easy to use
- Foot brake with push on and push off (rather than lift up and scatch your shoes)
- 4 wheels are very stable and smooth - I have walked my bub eavery day for 8 months - she loves it - Back wheels have begun to stick when releasing the brake. This is normally not a problem except for when going down travelators at the shop as I need to put the brake on to stop the pram rolling down but then need the brake off quickly at the end.
- It hasn't been a problem to date, but I suspect that the way the sun shade folds back it will soon touch the top of Bub's head when it is folded back - OK when open.
Bad – its not safe with the wheels but rest of pram is great good saftey harness but very disapointed that we were both injured buy at own risk and would only use in shopping centers as thats were it performs best kooks great love the green coulour my son looks comfortable extra large sun shade easy to steer one handed and turns great love having my son facing me which is main feature we wanted takes up whole boot of a camry front wheels (multispoke) are horrible on anything other than a flat surface so bad that the warning bumps for vision impaired we got stuck inbetween the bumps and front wheels bent under like they tend to and i fell onto our son still half on pedestian crossing my leg was cut open by break pedal and bumper bruised my babies head do not like the stability of the front wheels pram is in my eyes unsafe and has been returned
Excellent – this is the best "shopping" pram on the market with its expandable storage basket which turns into a carry basket you cant go wrong i HIGHLY! reccommend its light ans compact and just goes anywhere its also so smooth to push. the fun seat will make any toddler want to ride/sit in the pram. check out the mutsy website for a clearer understanding of the accessories then what ive discussed will make more sense that it has everything, you can convert from capsule to a seat to a fun seat with a basket you can uy an extra basket thingy that clips on the back of the pram for extra space and it just slips out with a handle which then converts to a carry basket.you can move the shade to either side or remove it al together, you can also remove the saftey bar at the front of the seat and buy a table for it. I have had no problems with ths pram on rough surfaces infact i take it everywhere and i love it, turns like a dream and have had numerous ppl comment on how great turning wise it is and how smooth it is. the wheels can lock at the front ans all wheel pop out with the push of a button. only thing i wish it had was a cup holder for bubs.
Good – we did heaps of research and in the end the mutsy seemed perfect for what we wanted - which was a pram that was good for lots of walking on bad footpaths (we live in Brunswick), would be sturdy and the baby could face you. so far it meets all our needs and the bub loves it. i would definitely recommend it to others. its very easy to push on bumpy paths, can run with it, faces baby, is light. In fact so far it is just great. nothing so far - but it took me a while to work out how to collapse it with ease.
OK – Disappointed and expected the parts to be more durable and expected better service from the provider of parts for the pram. 3 weeks is too long to wait for a new part. Would work better with pneumatic tyres as well. It's lightweight and easy to push on footpaths. When we converted to the stroller fitting one of the safety harness clips broke snapped off within days and it took 3 weeks for the Mutsy supplier to provide the new part to the retailer we bought the pram from. The back wheels stick when you release the lock and the rain cover for the bassinette is ugly. The pram doesn't do very well if you need to negotiate a couple of stairs.
