Oh wow, I thought it was just me. This used to be such a great value product. I don't want to have to change, my dog loves this food. Would be nice to know what's going on. The price is going up, and the quality has gone down.
My dog has been eating this product for 8 years and has been in great health, but over the last few weeks something has gone terribly wrong. The rolls are grey and mushy and smell bad. I gave it a break for a couple of weeks then tried again and the latest one is even worse. There's one I haven't opened yet which feels mushy but tight, like there… Read more
is gas expanding inside the packaging. I definitely won't be feeding it to my dog and won't be buying this product again.
You need to recall the last load of rot your company sent out, it is sloppy mush and wreaks of fish which is not listed on the ingredients and also a slight fecal smell, this is not a once off, I have purchased this from 3 different stores across the northern rivers over the last month and they are all the same, it is not the same quality food I… Read more
have been using for the last 10 years. I hope this will not be the same next week when I restock or I will have to permanently change to another grain free dog food.
if it remains unchanged in the next week or two I encourage everyone reading this to log an Independent Industry Alert PFIAA Report.
We have been buying this brand of loaf for years. Would get the odd one with too much water but in the last few months its regular. Clearly pumped up with water to make the weight but when opened the water squirts out and left with mush. Clearly quality control not being done or process change which makes the loaf disgusting. No more will be finding another brand Show details

I'm really upset that you have obviously changed the recipe. The last few months these rolls have been grey and basically mush. You can't even cut it into slices anymore it has the consistency of play doh. My poor dogs always used to look forward to their food and i can no longer in good consciousness feed them this disgusting slop no tried… Read more
reporting it to your team and while they did reach out to assist and offered me a gift card even the replacements have been just as gross. Your other reviews show a response that product made in June and July will have texture changes and such but unless you changed something in the recipe there should be no way for multiple batches to be like this.
We've been using this product for quite a few years now. In the last few weeks we've noticed a serious decline in the quality. My husband cut into the roll and the fluid i the the packet splashed back and got him in the face. The consistency is now a soggy mush, so bad you cannot really chop it into pieces. It smells awful and the colour is not… Read more
good either. Please, if you've changed the recipe, change it back. My dogs aren't fussy, but they won't eat it. Also the consistency of their stools has changed.

We've been purchasing this product for nearly 5 years and now, over the last few months, the product has changed and our dogs are having gastro issues. My daughter spoke to your reps who admitted the recipie has changed and offered us a $20 voucher.… Read more
In good faith we bought the product again only to find out it is still an issue and that others are complaining too. In order to make money you are making dogs sick by changing their diets without consent. I will not hesitate to spread this review further in order to warn others.
Follow-up · We completely dumped this brand and gone into another. Or dogs would no longer rest this grey smelly mush and no adequate answers were forthcoming.

Just like several other reviews, I have noticed a significant decline in the quality of this product in the past couple of months - mushy consistency and a greyish colour. If it was a change to the recipe, please change it back to the previous recipe or I too will be looking for another brand. My dogs do still eat it, but with much less… Read more
enthusiasm than previously and my younger dog has had recent stomach upset. Don't know for sure that it's related but nothing else about his diet has changed so it seems likely.

I’ve been buying this same roll for many years and it’s my preferred dog food, the last two I’ve bought have been disgusting. Grey, mushy and a weird texture. My dog has had some gastric upset and horrible poos and I think it must be the food. I’m going to have to switch to a different brand. We’re in Melbourne and both rolls were bought from different stores and had plenty of time on their expiration date Show details

I have been buying both this and the roast meat version for months; my dogs loved them. As of recent weeks, the quality has dropped dramatically in both products. The colour is a very dull grey, and the consistency is mushy and hard to work with, along with smelling gross. It's hard to even chop it into pieces for my dog, as it's so mushy that it… Read more
just breaks and goes everywhere. This has been consistent through the products over the past 4 purchases. All products have been within the use-by date. My dogs will not even touch it anymore; they went from excited at mealtime to refusing to eat it at all. This is not the quality we used to get; it's now disgusting, and I am going to have to switch to a different brand, as my dogs will not eat it.

I've been buying this product for 10 years, the last 5 rolls I purchased have slop inside, watery, sloppy like puppy food/mashed potato, if this is due to a recipe change i will discontinue using this product, its a shame, it was one of the only foods that didn't cause stomach problems for my dog. Have been buying this for about a year for my two dogs. As of the past 4 weeks or so the quality has dropped horrendously and it can no longer be even called pet food. I have spent over $1000 in vet bills, my dog almost ended up with aspiration pneumonia and had to be put on antibiotics after she vomited suddenly during the night and was then… Read more
coughing heavily for two weeks following that due to the vomit reaching the airway. The vomiting has happened several times and I've been to the emergency vet more than once in the middle of the night. I didn't realise it was the food until I noticed recently how it has changed in consistency to more of a putrid slime with an off colour. All food given was well within the use by date. I tried a more trustworthy brand with quality ingredients with better results. Who knows what's being put in Nature's "Goodness" but it's not so good! Stay well away if you value your dog's health. Aspiration pneumonia is life threatening and I'm very lucky things didn't get worse.

I recently bought this roll for my dog as he really likes it. He is 13yo and very fussy. The last one I bought was watery and discoloured and smelt awful. Now he won't eat it. Has the recipe been changed? Show details

My 2 dogs love the chicken and vegetable puppy roll. They've been eating it for the past few years. I can't find them anymore at Coles or Woolworths. Show details
My mixed border collie pup enjoyed this and didn’t have any gastrointestinal problems. I wished I had bought more than one if I had known this was hard to find at supermarkets. It’s really hard to find puppy food in supermarkets and very expensive from animal franchisers. Show details
Smells repulsive – Been trying this for my two dogs. Just bought and opened a new roll today and the smell was so putrid that I vomited! It's repulsive! Show details

My puppy got sick- she vomited and had diarrhoea – I should have have read the pervious reviews before buying this product. Thought it was natural and bought natures goodness grain free meat for my puppy. Gave her the meet as per the instructions and the next day around 6am she started vomiting more than 15 times and she got diarrhoea as well. Same as the previous review. It was so hard to book a… Read more
vet so suddenly. Very disappointing. Please do not sell these harmful products. This can’t be natural. There should be something harmful in it. Luckily one of the vets took us in and the pup is still recovering. we thought the puppy won’t survive as she was so tired vomiting the bile. when I said this to my friend he said the same thing happened to his cat when this food was given. Please be careful when you buy this product. Product was cheap but the vet bills and the hassle aren’t.

Make an informed decision – I tried this food for about a month, weened the puppy onto it over roughly a 2 week period. I used half the recommended amount as I mixed it in with her usual kibble. About a week after eating this as part of her diet she begun having diarrhea, I persisted assuming it was just unrelated. Soon after, my dog begun throwing up and refused to eat… Read more
anything for 3 days, continuously throwing up bile and any contents within her stomach. Thankfully, after a vet visit and diet change to boiled chicken amd rice then being weened back onto her kibble she has come good. It i Was disappointing seeing others using natures goodness foods having similar issues, wishing I read up more on the food before I went and bought it.
**Update ** Whilst yes I an disapointed in the issues we had with the food and in the overall experience with the roll I am glad to see how quickly natures goodness have been in resolving any issue, the company has requested any expiry dates of the rolls fed to my dog for quality assurance and have made sure myself and dog are okay.

Our dpgs like it – We are switching to grain free home cooked food, and using this grain free product as a “transisition” as well as an addition to keep their needs balance as we thought home cooked might be missing nutrients provided in commercial food. Show details · 1
Awful quality – After my other dog roll started giving my dog gas everytime we got a new roll, I wanted to change to something different. I bought both the Roast Meat and the Chicken rolls and decided to use the Roast Meat first as it was similar to his previous rolls. At first my only complaint was that the roll was a bit slimey which I've come to expect from… Read more
these type of products. I cook my dog rice and veg to mix with the dog roll which I cube. While I was cutting it up I noticed it felt kind of rough on the inside, like sand or something similar. This made me look closer at the cubes which I found to contain chicken feathers! Now I know for a dog a few feathers isn't going to really hurt but it made me question the entire process and hygiene practices of the factory that makes the rolls. I didn't end up using the two rolls I bought and went and bought some human grade meat instead!
Natures Goodness Grain Free Dog Food – My dog has spikes disease. Allergic to Grain and Gluten. Natures Goodness dog food is great and my little dog loves the Kangaroo blend. He has not had a seizure while he is eating Natures Goodness dog food. The price is reasonable, very affordable and I will be sticking with this brand which is available at Coles, Woolworth and Aldi.
