DVDs? I think you are confused. DVDs are plastic discs, usually sold with movies or video games on them. They have nothing to do with this dashcam. To transfer videos from this dashcam to your PC you need to take the SD card out of the dashcam and put it in your PC or card reader, then copy the files across. It's an annoying process. I wish when I parked at my house, all the videos would be automatically copied to the cloud (or just sent to my phone while driving? I don't know). But it doesn't work like that; this dashcam has no connection of any sort to any other device or network.
My Navman screen has a leaf on it that changes between yellow/red/green. What does this represent?
Hi Carolyn, Thank you for reaching out to us! The information and description you had provided sounds like you are referring to the feature called Eco Drive which is available on the Navman latest dash camera models. Can you please confirm the model number of the Navman dash camera that you have?
The Eco Drive allows you to know your driving efficiency. You will get notified via the red/yellow/green indicator on how fuel efficient your drive is. The built-in 3-Axis G-Sensor generates the notification via your acceleration, number of turns taken and braking.
For smooth driving, you will get green indicator and yellow or red for aggressive pressing on the gas and brake pedal or sudden lane changing and sudden braking.
Hope that the above information helps.
For any other queries, you may also send an email to our email support team at pcnsupportaus@navman.com.au.

HI i have an MiVie 660 and it will not go past the Warning screen to not use when driving etc. Can you help Regards Peter Smith
Hi Peter, Sorry to hear you are having an issue with your dashcam. The first thing I would suggest is to perform a hard reset to the device by poking the reset hole on the top of it. If the problem persists, we may need to update its firmware. To do that, kindly follow the steps from the link below: external link *Note: if it's your first time visiting our FAQ site, select a region first then try the link again.
Hope this helps. Otherwise, feel free to contact our support team on PCNSupportAus@navman.com.au

Hi there, I was wondering if anyone notice that after firmware update for MiVue 660 dashcam, my safetycam option is gone. could you please send me the link of old firmware so that i can get the safetycam function back please? Thank you!
Hi Zay, The safety camera feature was available as a temporary bonus feature on the MiVue 660 out of the box and has been removed after the latest firmware update which also includes other software updates. Unfortunately, there's no way to reinstall the old firmware on the device. We do apologize if this causes any inconvenience however, please note that this feature was not indicated as an inclusion in the MiVue 660 box, user guide or printed materials.
Kind regards, Navman Support Team
Oh great, well I guess you guys just taking it off because you can make a new model and take the feature off from the old. Since you can make more money with other new products? What is your deal here? I dont get it! You guys know that this dash cam got gps so then why dont you just tweak the software for next update and give us all complimentary safety cam feature. Wouldnt that be awesome and I will upgrade my next purchase of my dashcam with navman only for all my future cars. Otherwise you might have lost my respect on your brand and I will forever change the dashcam brand and will never buy any of your product ever again for future demands. Just so you know that people are not dumb. If you taking out this safety cam feature because of some other unsafe reason then I could understand but you could actually give this feature to us why not just be generous and contact your software developers right away. And also want to tell you that most of the online links of your firmware updates for some other models are not even working and its showing error messages if I tried to download the fireware updates. Now I am already scared to update all my other dashcam ask I might get less feature if I update them I guess. Damn! Come on man! Make some good impact for the world! So disappointing! I love your brand and now I am starting to hate by this.
Best regards, Zay
GoodBye Navman. Tricky product. Safety Camera feature is gone and the company wont help. My friends and my familay had a campaign not to buy this product again.
Am I able to connect my Navman Mivue 660 to my new stereo so I can review the footage on a bigger screen? If so how and will it also charge though this cable.
Thanks Mandy
Hi Mandy C, Thanks for posting your query. Unfortunately, the MiVue 660 doesn't have an AV-out connector that will connect to a bigger screen, only the latest MiVue 790 WiFi and MiVue 860DC. For more info about our products, please visit service.navman.com or external link / external link

Hi, I have a mivue660 purchased last year and I have noticed today that recording has stopped since 4/10/2018, I checked the event log and there is an event in that day, I also have a little red x up where the “recording with sound is disabled” button. How do I turn this off? I want to remove the red x but cannot see anywhere how to do this, I have also tried resetting the unit with the paper clip twice, tried factory reset and also tried deleting/formatting the SD Card on the mivue660 and on the computer, still does not record. Please help!!
Hi Eddy, Sorry to hear about your experience with the MiVue 660. In relation to your recording issue, could you please advise the brand/model of MicroSD card you're using? In our experience, using MicroSD cards that are not suitable in continuous recording devices can cause issues like you have mentioned.
For now, we suggest updating the firmware on the device. Go to our FAQ site here external link for the steps.

Hope this helps. Otherwise, don't hesitate to reach out.

I have a Mivue 660 and I am trying to access the menu, each time I press the menu button, the device shuts down. It is fully charged and I have removed the memory card. (even with memory card inserted, it still shuts down) I have tried resetting the device as well, still shuts down. Help?
Hi Kate, Sorry to hear about this. Are you pressing the top button located on the right side of the camera to access the Menu/System Settings? If so, please try updating the firmware of your device to isolate the problem which can be downloaded here: external link
*note: if the link did not direct you to the correct page, please select a region first and then try again.
After installing the firmware, try hard resetting your device by poking the shutdown button located at the top of the unit beside the usb port.
Hope this helps. Otherwise, don't hesitate to reach us out.
Thank you.

Hi we went away for three weeks and our 660 must have went flat over that time. The date and time went back to 2015.
Also I checked the footage and it hasnt recorded fo rthe last two days.
I have reset the time and date and did a small test drive and it seems to be working now.
Is this standard for the camera to not record if the date and time fail due to none use?
Cheers
Steve
Hi Steve, Thanks for posing your query. The camera should still continuously record even when the time and date is incorrect. However, the problems encountered may have somthing to do with the battery. It's either flat or the unit wasn't charged properly to operate correctly. I suggest to give the device a good charge for at least 30 mins to an hour when not used for a long period of time.

Hi I have a MiVue660 Dash cam for my font car window and want to add a A20 for the rear. Are they compatible? Regards Bruce.
Hi Bruce, Unfortunately the A20 is not compatible with the MiVUE 660. however i am pleased to tell you that JB HiFi has the MiVUE800 on sale for $249, which comes with the A20 out of the box, so you don't need to buy it separately! this also works out cheaper than buying a compatible device (like the MiVUE 780) and the A20 rear camera separately.
I hope this helps.
Thanks,
Senior Navman Support
Many thanks for your quick response to my question on the compatibles re A20 rear camera to my existing MiVue660 Thanks for the advice re MiVue 800, I will be looking into this with JBHifi 249.00 sounds good to me and I get the A20 rear camera. That leaves me with my MiVue 660 which I will sell which works well an in good condition maybe 100.00 on ebay. Once again your made my day Navman Support team,Regards Bruce.
All video recorded can be seen on the unit, but not all of the video (only some of them) can be displayed (or playable) on the computer, please advise.
Saigon4 in Melbourne.
Hello Saigon4, Thanks for your query and sorry for the delays. Please make sure to use the MiVUE Manager software to play the videos on the computer because some of the recordings have data with them that will only work with our player. Please refer to the link below where you can download the MiVUE Manager software:

Please note: SanDisk Ultra and Samsung MicroSD cards are not compatible for use in Continuous Digital Recorders. (Please refer to the respective manufacturers for more information)

Recently purchased this product from JB Hi-Fi. The device needs to be turned on and off by pulling out the USB connection because as soon as the car starts up the screen says "USB Connecting..". This message will not disappear and return to the normal camera display screen until it is completely disconnected. Please help and advise whether a warranty replacement is necessary? Thanks
Hi JC_888, Thanks for taking the time to send us a question. The "USB Connecting" message usually appears when you plug the device in via USB to a computer. Are you using an in-car USB port for power? unfortunately these are not compatible, and you will need to use the in-car power adapter with your 12V plug inside the car.
Thanks,
Senior Navman Support
Thank you for the quick response. No, I have not plugged it in via a USB port. It is installed as per the instruction via the in car 12V plug. Please provide further advice as to why I would be experiencing this issue.
Hi JC_888, This shouldn't be happening. Can you please confirm if you are using the original Navman car adapter? if possible, please try using the car adapter in a different vehicle to further isolate the problem.
You can also try the following troubleshooting steps to fix the problem:
1. Perform a hard reset by poking the shutdown button beside the USB port on the camera.
2. Install the latest firmware update. Please refer to the link below:

Hi, I have a mivue 660 which is a great camera overall. However the emergency/event recording button only creates a 10 sec clip instead of the 20 secs mentioned elsewhere? Any idea on what might be causing this?
Would also suggest that even 20 secs is not long enough. If a near miss occurs by the time you recover and then think about pushing the button its too late. Ok when you are heading home as you can just grab the normal footage but if away for a few days that's not an option.
Hello Pazz D, Thanks for your query and sorry for the delayed response. Your dash camera should record 10 seconds prior and 10 seconds post an event, which makes it a 20 secs video file. Please note that the unit should've been recording more than 10 seconds video already for it to capture or include a 10 seconds prior the event. If another event is triggered within the 10 seconds post an event, the unit will then continue to record another 10 secs clip until it stacks up to 1-minute file.
I also suggest installing the latest firmware update to improve the device's performance. The firmware update can be downloaded from the link below:
external link
Note: If it's your first time to visit our FAQ site, you need to select Australia/New Zealand and then click the above link again to be directed to the correct site/page.
If the problem is still the same, please specify the brand name of the memory card you're using to isolate the problem properly.

I have the same problem. It used to record the before and after, now only the after. Nicely shows me nearly rear ending a car but not the 10 seconds before when they swerved from the 3rd outside lane to the inside 1st lane where they braked heavily.
Hi, just updated the firmware 07/1/2018 for the MiVue660 to "VAR0.03.D7.BA1OS", but the alerts that used to pop out on the screen like, safety cam, speed limit and current speed are no longer working, please advised if there is a glitch on the new firmware and if not can you advise what's the best thing to do?
Dear Ernie, The safety camera feature was available as a temporary bonus feature on the MiVUE660 out of the box, and has been removed after the latest firmware update which also includes other software updates. We do apologize if this causes any inconvenience. However, please note that this feature was not indicated as an inclusion in the MiVUE660 box, user guide and printed materials.

I tend to disagree as it wasn't mentioned before hand that this is just a temporary bonus feature, and in the user guide and printed material it's clearly printed and explained the features of safety camera and I have that material ready to be submitted if required as a proof of this claim. Also my disappointment is, it wasn't mentioned nor a warning on the latest update that the safety cam feature will be remove, it's really unfair because there's no information given nor an explanation on what's the purpose of the update, and as a rule, every update has an explanation and purpose to the end users, and also the reason why end users are updating is because it's for the improvement of the device's functionality not disablement of features that is greatly required especially in my case because I do a lot of driving, so therefore I demand that my previous firmware be given back to me and restore my device to it's originality. I purchased the device, primarily of the function(safety cam)that's included in the device's feature. Again, as I reiterated, I'm happy with no firmware update, just send me the original firmware so I can restore it back to it's original functionality. Much appreciated if anyone in the Navman support team, can understand and consider my great concern.
My Navman 660 has finally died. The gps dates flick to 2025 year. My manual dates flick to 2010. Screen feezes all time - have to reformat. Tapes on 1 to 2 segments at best. The list goes on. I wanted a good navman not a problemtic one. What can i do to fix???
Sorry Lizzie, I don't know :(
Hello LizziB,
Sorry for the late response. I would be happy to arrange an RMA for your unit to be fixed. If you'll allow, I'll send you a private message on how we can go about this.
Navman Support Team
Hi I just bought to 660 and noticed yesterday "start recording" continually comes up on the unit screen, I checked the clips and they are only 20 seconds in length, not the 3 minutes as set.
Any idea please?
Cheers
Steve
Hello Bussy, This is probably related to the memory card that you are using. The device may malfunction if the memory card is not fully compatible with the dash camera. To isolate the problem, we'll have to try different cards. We have a list of tested memory cards that you can try which can be found here: external link ( If it's your first time visiting our website, select your country first and then revisit the link)
Note: Please also make sure to format the card before use.
Normal videos can be played back on the device by going to System Settings > File Playback > 1st/2nd Card > Video. Event recordings normally will record 20-second clips, which is composed of 10 seconds prior and 10 seconds after the event.
You may also try updating the firmware to further isolate the problem which can be downloaded through this link: external link
Hope this helps.
Thank you so much for your efforts.

Navman Support Team.
I brought Navman Mivue 660 on 31/07/17. It only taped for 20mins max. Drove on trip for 4hrs+. Yet that was the max taping. Replace sd card. Reformatted. Reset. Numerous times. Went back to JB HiFi. Replacement. This one only tapes for 24mins. What is problem.??? Im fed up. Can u help?
Hello LizziB, We apologize for the trouble this has caused. Please check the following that may affect the number of videos that can be saved: 1. Video quality and Memory card capacity: For more info, please visit service.navman.com and then select your country. Then, copy and paste this link into your browser: external link
2. Memory card compatibility:
The device may malfunction if the memory card is not fully compatible with the dash camera. We have a list of tested memory card that you can try which can be found here: external link
3. Storage allocation:
The system provides 3 default memory configurations to store the videos (including continuous recordings and event recordings) and photos. Select the proper configuration based on your usage and set bigger allocation for videos. This option can be found in System Settings > System > Storage Allocation.
Hope this solves the problem. Thank you for your time in reaching out to us.

I have Navman Miguel 660, which was purchased 8 months ago, problem is that it does not turn on automatically. Any ideas?
Hello John, Sorry to know that. Try charging your camera through a mains/wall power outlet for 30 minutes to an hour, using a spare 1a charger that you have. And then, poke the reset hole located beside the USB port.
If your camera is still not turning on automatically, please email us the following details to pcnsupportaus@navman.com.au to book your unit for service.
• Full name
• Phone number
• Shipping address
• Serial number
• Copy of your receipt
